There is no doubt that this is the absolute best most authentic turkish restaurant in Boston. Always fresh and service is just right.

I had two Turkish coffees but I had credit card issues bank card problems so that I had to go visit my bank branch to get cash. Even so staff members never rushed me and patient with me all the time. They trusted me to leave shop to get money. Just so wonderful warm people are working there and including their customers as well. Lately I had a some unwanted unfortunate experiences at restaurants around but Coffee Turco's warm homemade love made my great day. What an pleasurable experience !! Definitely I will come back.

The woman at the counter was really sweet and accommodating and the interior of the cafe was really nice and cozy. We sat at one of the booths with cozy chairs and throw pillows and she brought us menus to look at. We ended up ordering the serpme breakfast which resembled a Turkish version of a charcuterie board that came with an assortment of cheeses and spreads, bread, fruits and vegetables, olives, an egg and sausage dish, and an egg and tomato dish. Everything on the board was delicious and we had a great time trying everything out. We also got two complimentary Turkish teas and ended up spending hours at the cafe. Would definitely go back again!

The hidden gem in the whole experience is the basket of fresh bread and the small plate of white bean salad that comes to the table after ordering; the bread is steaming hot from the oven, and the beans and vegetables taste really fresh. This place feels so nice when you can enjoy the food in their outdoor seating during the warmer months. They also have a sizeable menu and a whole dessert case by the register. There is outdoor seating and a decent amount of indoor seating. It is spacious inside, but the night that we went was empty (Thursday night). Where this restaurant loses points is the service. Unfortunately, our server was very difficult to work with on getting our orders correct. Multiple times she got our order wrong or forgot what we got and had to come back to the table to get the order again. Additionally, when the food was coming out, she was giving it to the wrong people at the table (party of 7 in an empty restaurant) and 2 of the plates came out very late compared to the others (about a 15 minute difference). This made 2 people feel left out eating with the rest of the table. When the 2 remaining plates finally came out, one of them was the wrong one!! At that point, we already shared our food with the other 2 people and they weren't even hungry anymore and were frustrated. Overall, service was very slow and confusing. Our server was nice, but she either needed more training or attention to detail. Considering we were the only customers at that time, this was a very surprising experience.

Friendly and helpful staff. I rate 4.5, but will give 5 as no intermediate option. Improvements would mainly be timing of different courses delivered at table (was fast, but more time between mezzo and mains would be better). I believe that this small business has even greater potential.

However being in…read morethe suburbs of Boston, it gave me the opportunity to try other cuisines, and I was excited to see this authentic Turkish restaurant not far from my hotel. Ironically, I found this place when I was looking up ice cream. They serve authentic Turkish ice cream, and it's been something I've been wanting to try. In addition to the ice cream, I ordered Manti (Turkish dumplings) and Uludag soda (which they say is a Turkish ginger ale). I loooooooooved the Manti. While the dumplings were filled with meat, the dish overall felt light since each dumpling is like the size of a quarter. The dumplings had a nice chew, and the sauces made the dish rich yet creamy. The Uludag soda was definitely much lighter than a ginger ale. Tasted like a light citrusy drink, and it's less sweet than American sodas. The ice cream had a nice pull and chew, although it didn't look as stretchy as Turkish ice creams I've seen. Nice amount of pistachio flavor throughout. I came on a weekday lunch, so there was ample seating inside. Ordering is done via a QR code on your table or on a tablet stand in the middle of the restaurant. Service was quick and friendly, making it a great experience overall.

Lavash Grille - Cambridge, MA Total Score: 9/10…read more Lavash Grille in Cambridge delivers a Turkish and Mediterranean dining experience that feels both vibrant and deeply comforting. This is the kind of place that works beautifully for group outings, thanks to the big, long tables that make it easy to settle in, share plates, and actually enjoy the social side of dining. The sampler platters and mixed grill dishes are absolutely the way to go. Portions are generous, the variety is excellent, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well balanced. The hummus and baba ganoush were both standouts, packed with flavor and a great start to the meal. One of the biggest highlights was the manti. These delicate, bite sized dumplings with yogurt sauce were pure comfort food and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the night. The haydari (similar to Tzatziki) was another favorite. Rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, it's the kind of dip you keep reaching for long after you're full. For something a little different, the traditional Turkish coffee made with hot sand is such a fun experience and well worth ordering. Ending the meal with coffee and rice pudding felt like the perfect, cozy finish. On a practical note, I was genuinely happy there is some parking here, which is always a welcome bonus in Cambridge. Overall, Lavash Grille is a place I'd gladly return to. Great food, perfect for group settings, and an all around enjoyable dining experience.

They have a small parking lot off the side of the restaurant which is free. Inside, there is plenty of space. The service and staff are very nice. We got a lentil soup to share, manti and beef liver as appetizers. Everything tasted amazing. The manti could be a little softer. We also got coffee and tea. The tea was refilled throughout the time we were there which was a nice touch. For my main I got the chicken Adana and my friend got the lamb version. Both were grilled to perfection. Such simple ingredients but the meal was well balanced. The meat came with rice and some grilled/ pickled veggies. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is shared with the building and was out of toilet paper and was in bad condition.

I came specifically for Turkish simit bagels. Since I didn't see any on display, I asked the person behind the counter if they had any. He replied that they were "all out" because "a lot of people ordered soup today and ordered simits with soup." Mind you, this was 11:32 in the morning, well before lunch even starts. His tone was extremely unpleasant, as if I were asking for something unreasonable for expecting a classic Turkish item to be available mid-morning. What's the point of running a place like this if the food cases are half empty and they can't offer something as basic as a simit at 11:32 a.m.? Why the condescending attitude, as though expecting them to have one available at that hour is too much to ask? How can they even stay in business when they don't have basic items available in the morning and still expect customers to support them? And on top of that, having a half-asleep, condescending person tell me they're out because "people ordered soup with simits" at 11:30 in the morning is absurd. I walked out unhappy and puzzled at how such a large new Sofra location can be out of simit bagels before lunchtime and how anyone can think that's acceptable. Unbelievable. One star.
