I'd have to agree with Kayla M.'s review. This place has been fading fast. I've been going here a few times a year for the past 10 years or so, but it's suckin' ass lately. The bartenders are nice, the drinks are stiff (and cheap), and the jukebox is decent (not great)...but the clientele has totally gone downhill lately. Wanna-be tough guys, asshole "locals", trashy attention whores, frat boys, etc....where's the cool, low-key peeps that used to frequent this place? Worst fucking bar ever! Piece of shit bartender. Has long dark hair. The second we walked in she was a complete bi***. She was completely rude. Ive never been treated so bad in my life by any bartender. We even tipped her good with our first drinks hoping her attitude would turn around and noooope it got worst. Never would I recommend this bar to anyone. In response to the below comment. I can assure you, we did not walk in the bar to a smiling happy bartender or the customers. The environment wasn't good at all. The second we ordered our drinks, your bartender had an attitude about us showing IDs. Our friend even said maybe if I show her my military ID her attitude will change. Noooope. Still rude. But whatever idc about a rude bartender. There was an incident about a water cup, one guy sitting at the bar had an issue and said something. My friend obviously said something back while the bartender was in our faces screaming throwing her hands around. We walked into the pool area and separated ourselves. All that was said was we don't feel comfortable anymore, let's down our drinks and go. So that's what we did. However it was my friends birthday, she was pretty wasted as that's who the water cup was for, well she didn't know what was going on and we just kept saying come on let's go and she was confused. Accidentally took her drink outside. Never did anyone take drinks in the car! She was right outside the patio area trying to figure out why we were leaving. The bartender comes running outside yelling causing a scene and starts videoing everyone! Like come on! And I really don't care if the police was called and a report was made about my Jeep Grand Cherokee. We did nothing wrong. You clearly have an issue with the bartenders as previous customers have written almost the same review and had the same experience but hey if that's how you want your bar ran, so be it. We won't be back and I'll definitely make sure to let as many people know about our experience. I've been to plenty of dive bars and get that there are regulars and it can get sketchy sometimes but never have I been treated like that by a bartender. The issue started with her. & again... please we did nothing wrong. We had a designated driver that had ONE beer. Trust me... we're not that dumb to first drink and drive in seal beach especially and definitely wouldn't get in the car and drive it drunk while being videoed. Watch out fellow bar mates, your bartender will video you . Also no one brought their drinks into the car. & the only reason I am responding to this is the fact that I am so shocked you let that behavior work at your bar. Yeah I'm sure the customers agreed with her, they were all super rude regulars. You think they would disagree with their bartender. read more

I live locally and used to come in 1-2 times a week and play pool and throw some tunes on the jukebox. It's always been pretty divey, but lately it's got to be by far the worst bar within a 50 mile radius. The bartenders are bitchy and if they arent pouring free drinks for their friends they are too wasted to get you a drink anyways. It doesnt matter what you pay to play on the jukebox because they just over load it with the worst death music possible. The past few times I have walked out leaving my drink and a half played pool game because I couldnt stand it a minute longer. I have promised myself NEVER to go back. This place is iconic! I have always enjoyed this bar. My only issue is a tool Heffe cokebrain Johnson that comes in daily for hours on end and cock blocks the barmaidens withendless BS. However, this place has a fine history of serving great drinks in a chill atmosphere. If I could rate my experience a 0 I would. My partner and I walked in and asked if drinks were still being served. The bartender did not respond in a respectful manner but instead rudely told us "only if you're 21" with an obnoxious tone. We were so taken aback, but she said "let me see your IDs" so we promptly took them out and I told her I was 24. She scoffed at me to lower my mask, as I had forgotten, and I gave her a funny face because I didn't understand why she was being so rude. My partner gave his ID and after she stared at his ID for an unnecessary amount of time she said in a sarcastic condescending voice "sorry your ID is expired soooooo, I won't serve you". My partner had just turned 25 ten days before and his license had expired. I don't expect bartenders to serve us if there was a legitimate issue, however no one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. Poor business practice. 0 stars. read more

The bar has it locals just like any other bar. Weird thing was the center columns that hold up the ceiling smell like gasoline. A bit strange. The service was good considering there were only 2 bar tenders who were also the bar backs. Plus it was busy and they held their own.
