Im glad im not the only one who thinks the little napoleaon that parades around this place and dishs out crap to the customers is a bitch from hell. Anybody who serves margaritas with no limes and is too lazy to go back and get the milk and wont make white russians doesent even deserve a bartending job! Im glad they 86'd me from this dump. TURCS - MY HAPPY PLACE!!! Where do I begin!? Ever find one of those places you just know, it's going to be your "Happy Place?!" I have traveled all over this country, and the world and this little Dive Bar/Gem is one of those places. From the first night I went in there, until today, 5 years ago I fell in love with this place. It's like "Cheers" but on the beach. The old rustic beach décor, low lights, fire place, pool tables, music, but my favorite is the fish tanks, and watching the largest hermit crab aka "bob" still in existence, fight with those colorful fish that love to screw with him. Turcs is also a staple for the locals, that frequent this place. Over the years I have met, movie stars, Michelin Chef, Aerospace Engineers with Boeing, martial arts defensive fighters from Italy, couple that just got married from Australia, Porsche Racing Suspension Engineer, he was also the crew chief for Patrick Dempsey, and the list goes on! Not to mention all those locals that bring in a happy spirit and make this little dive bar what it is. If you come to Turcs and don't enjoy yourself, and leave with amazing stories, but most importantly friendships that will last a life time, then maybe it's not Turcs at all, maybe it's YOU! Well ... I'm new in the neighbourhood.. But I know a lot people because I've lived here all my life ... My husband and I went in on a Friday night sitting at the bar ... The bartender Andee (female) had a bar back that was very nice she was getting everyone beers but said sorry I can't pour alcohol ... Waited a half hour watched her serve all the people that were way behind us in order form .. So I finally said something to her ... Hey Hun can we get me a drink it's been well over 45 minutes ... Her bar back had taken a break and was back on and we still hadn't been served ... She flew off the handle yelling... I'm serving the locals first!!!! I'm like wow ok .. I think I'm local I live ten steps away ... Then my husband just wanted to make peace and gave her a twenty dollar tip that she threw back at us ?! She was So RUDE! Then last night went in with a friend and I was on the way out ... she was there off shift and harassed me when I was leaving saying oh there's the other one?! I'm like the other one what? If you don't serve drinks to paying customers because you're a hater ... You really shouldn't be working with the public! My wife just recently in this place they refused here service a turned to walk out and was shoved from behind her head way lying on PCH they are awful people and there have been people that have gotten murdered and shot at ... The bartender was rude the second we walked in the door. You can tell she hasn't worked too many jobs. Very entitled! 1:45am hit and she came in bringing some baggage...screaming about her bad day and how we all need to leave because of it. I'd say there were maybe 25 people in 6 different groups. Complaining how she is a part owner and we are burdening her in her business. It's a wonder this place stays open if she scares away 30 people a night? I'm sure the actual owner wouldn't be thrilled to hear this. And then as if all this wasn't bad enough her child who looked to be a 16 year old boy (4'6" in heels max) came out screaming to defend her raging mom followed by a bouncer who seemed like he had to be woken from the bus stop out front. 30 people standing around a bar in complete aw as all this plays out. I'm sure she feels completely embarrassed by all of this but still is no excuse. This place seems like it could be fun but management is an absolute mess and a complete wildcard. Altho entertainment value is high like seeing a Jerry Springer show live. I'd pay good money to watch the dysfunctional family running this bar. read more

I was here on the night that Aj M. Is posting about! And she is completely wrong. The bartender was nothing but pleasant and kind and even had to put her self in danger trying to grab a bottle out of one of the guys hands. The guy was popping off trying to call out a local guy over a glass of water. It was absolutely ridiculous and when the local guy squashed it with them the other guy went in the back still carrying on about it and then they literally took the drinks out of the bar and totally disrespected the bartender. As a patron of the bar this customer is completely out of hand and their yelp review is bullshit. There are so many pictures and videos of this group of people drinking in the parking lot getting in the car with open bottles and being disrespectful to the bartender. read more

This is my all time favorite bar to go to, period. It has a super cool laidback atmosphere with several fish tanks, fireplaces, pool tables and enclosed smoking area to chill at. Jenny V and Andi typically hold down the bar Friday-Tuesday 7- Close. I would definitely go any of those days if your looking for extra stiff drinks and uber friendly service . (DONT FORGET TO TIP) Overall the vibe is just right, the locals are all cool, some of the girls even bring in cookies etc. If I could ask for one thing it would be to bring in some craft beer on tap or maybe a some other top shelf Whisky. read more

Not a social media person but came by to wish my 3 ball bartender Hannah a happy birthday! Walked in to the bartender James being rude to her friends setting up her party. Her friend even said I was asked to do this to him. He told them to not decorate the bar area and was rude. As he gave more cocktails to a drunk customer. A fellow coworker should be helping for their party not making it difficult. Thought he was the owner of the place for a minute....but know he's not. read more

Horrible service. Bartender/owner was a joke. Us "What beers do you have?" Her "What do you see? ...ugh" Customer service at it's finest haha And they hired this short Napoleon who patrols the tiny hallways trying to flex on people. Was in the area Saturday during the day for the arts festival, and hadn't stopped into this spot in ages. My boyfriend and I had never seen a guy bartender working here but hey he sure only caters to the locals, liquoring them up. This guy Kurt was there, my boyfriend was like enough with this guy, he's drunk annoying and needs to go home! We were over it and left. What a fun lil dive bar. Stopped in on Jenni's shift and she is so funny. She gave my friends and I candy and is very entertaining. The locals are friendly and make you feel like family. Drink are inexpensive and the pours are fair. There's a juke box and a patio to hang out on. There are pool tables too. Stop by and check it out for yourself! read more

I don't always leave Fountain Valley, but when I do I go to Turcs. I've been coming to this place for quite some time and I absolutely love it, I come in every Wednesday to play pool and see my favorite bartender Hannah, she's fantastic! Very weird vibes from some guy named Zack that works there. He stared off by calling one of my buddy's a rapist because of the jacket he was wearing. Afterwards he went outside to overly the top hit on my brothers girlfriend and made her very uncomfortable. Just a very bad experience overall. Wish we never went there. read more

If you're looking for a dive bar this is definitely it. Good drinks, pool tables in back but an interesting crowd. It is located on PCH so lots of other bars in walking distance. Can be a fun stop on a pub crawl. read more
