My wife and I bought a hot tub from a friend and enjoyed it so much that we wanted an upgrade. We found Turbo Tubs and liked that they had been in business for quite some time, the good reviews of the business, and found Jay very knowledgeable when purchasing parts to fix the original tub. While browsing the store, we found Jay to be a very genuine person - not pushy or forceful into selling us anything. He was very easy to work with. When we found what we liked, purchasing with Jay was very easy - he answered all our questions and delivery was very fast considering the time of year. Nick and Mike delivered our hot tub on time and were very prompt and professional. They walked us through the chemical procedure and how each feature of the hot tub worked. They answered every question I had with detail and were very patient with me as I had a lot of questions! I continued to run the jets throughout the day to bring the water to temperature in hopes of using it that evening, only for the tub to develop a massive leak. The 450 gallon tub drained in under an hour. Unfortunately Turbo Tubs was closed by the time I tried to call. When I called the next day, I talked to Nick and he said he would be out the following morning to take a look. He was very prompt the following morning, showing up first thing, and found the problem within minutes. He double-checked all the other water connections behind the different panels of the hot tub to ensure there were no other leaks, and walked me through the chemical treatment process a second time. If you want a salty, rude, inexperienced dealer to do a half-ass job, Jay and his crew at Turbo Tubs, you are your guys. Giving them one star is generous at best. We bought an overpriced hot tub from them less than two years ago summer of 2021, during the pandemic. No other stores had anything available; Even Turbo Tubs only had two, so we were excited to get something even tho we knew we probably paid a premium for it. We were ok with that. In hindsight a bad idea as it's been problematic from the start. The digital control panel went out few months after we bought it. Luckily we were still under warranty, and Turbo Tubs came and fixed it for free. After spending so much money on the hot tube, I was disappointed, but at least it was resolved quickly and for free. I thought we should be good now. This was our only positive experience with them. SERVICE ISSUE 1: A year later, one of the LED bulbs went out. I called Turbo Tub, and they came out to fix it. Unfortunately, this is where things start to go downhill for them. The light was relatively easy to fix and still covered under warranty. However, as the tech was finishing up, I noticed he was trying to leave the spliced wires to the new light exposed before he put the insulation and cover back on. I called him out on it, saying I wanted that to be sealed properly. The last thing I wanted was an electric short from water on exposed wires. His response, "it's low voltage"! WTF? He tried to use wire nuts that were too big, and it failed. Then he got annoyed and said I have to go back to the shop (1 mile away). An hour later, he came back even more annoyed because his truck had broken down. He tried to half-ass use duct tape, which fell apart from his sweaty hands. I suggested he use smaller wire buts and secure it with electrical tape. He lost his cool and said: "fucking customers telling me how to do my job." Once he realized what he said, he quickly tried to apologize and blame it on his annoying day. SERVICE ISSUE 2: Six months later, during routine maintenance, I had a number of items break. The hoses connecting the headrest to the jets all cracked The few plastic screws from the headrest cushions came outOne of the small light covers behind the headrest broke offSo I called Jay, and he said he would try to squeeze me on Tuesday, 4/18. Tuesday came and went. NO CALL, NO SHOW #1. I called them to see what happened, and he said the other calls took longer than expected. So he scheduled me for the next Tuesday, 4/25. Again NO CALL, NO SHOW #2. Called him again, and this time he tried to tell me he didn't have the hoses, which he had confirmed were in stock and even asked me how much I needed. I told him not to worry about the hoses and to come to fix the light. So he schedules me for Monday, 5/1. NO CALL ,NO SHOW #3 At this point, I was done with them and called the manufacturer to complain and find another dealer. SERVICE ISSUE 3: Today, Tuesday, 5/2, the tech randomly showed up. I figured I'd let him fix the light while he was here. Except he tried to epoxy glue to fill the hole where the light cover had broken off instead of replacing it with the correct part. I stopped him and said what are you doing. He said Jay told him just to glue the hole, and I would never have this problem again. I said why would I want something functional to be permanently unusable, how is that a solution. He said he'll have to order parts. So I called Jay to see what he was thinking, and immediately I get attitude, and he tries to tell me I agreed to that work. I said why would I agree to that and he said 'you didn't even know those were lights" (which was true since I had never seen them light up and they are behind the headrest). I told him that was not the point and that if they had never lit up, there is a bigger problem because he sold me something faulty. He started yelling and said I'm going to hang up on you now, and you find someone else to fix your hot tub. Wow, just wow. Where is the accountability? Where is the integrity? Can't fit the whole story here, but to summarize; Used them to repair heater. During repair, cracked connector and caused serious leak during single digit temperatures. Told me to leave work and check it myself if I wanted them to come back and that everything doesn't stop for them because I have a problem. After 3 trips, claimed problem was solved and charged my card over $200 additional without authorization after I told them I wasn't paying them to fix a problem they created. Still had to hire someone else to properly fix leak they only slowed down to a small drip. New repair guy found a damaged gasket he said looked like was pinched when turbo tubs reassembled the heater. Hire at your own risk. The technician, Nick, was friendly and wanted to help but was hindered by orders from his boss, Jay, who did not want Nick returning at one point even though Nick was overheard on the phone saying "But I need to fix this for them". I would give them a -5 if I could. Terrible customer service. The men there talk to women demeaning. If you have any self-respect, you will not spend a dollar with them. They do horrible work and then when you call them in less than 30 days to come and repair their work. They tell you it was working when we left so now you have to pay us extra for us to figure out what we messed up. I have never dealt with a company that feels so entitled to completely be dishonest with their customers and make their customers pay for half done work and then expect the customer to pay to get it done right the second and third time. Initially we were satisfied with the service. We needed a new board, they did find one and installed it. The installer couldn't get the used one to work. He said it was an electric problem, he said he would test my board, never heard back about the boar. I had an electrician check the possible problem and made repairs. I used board won't control the tem. We called turbo tubs the guy says now the problem was the control. We sent a pic and during the conversation he was irritated with us , we never received a call about the control and didn't know what happened to our board. I called for a service call on June 1, 2023. After giving the needed repair issues and my credit card information, I was advised that the service repair technician schedule would be checked for my area and I would be called back. On June 8, 2023, I called back to confirm my appointment information and was spoken to an extremely rude person that later identified himself as the manager. After being told that I did not have an appointment scheduled because no credit card information was listed, I advised him that I did in fact give my credit card information, that is why the service schedule was being checked. I was also asked where I bought my tub (not at Turbo Tubs) because they take care of their customers first. I informed him that I have had recent repairs from them as well as a new cover purchase and that I have never had a poor attitude / service from them previously. TERRIBLE! Save your money and use somebody else, anybody else. I ordered a light and directional flow knob for my spa. I sent pictures of the tub parts and informed them of the model and year of the spa. They fixed the flow knob and charged me $75 for the part (I looked it up later online and found the part listed for under $15, a 500% markup!). The worst part was they were unable to fix the light because they didn't have it on the truck and would have to order it AND I'd have to pay $150 AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SEVICE CALL. Really? They knew what part that needed to be replaced yet didn't have it in advance and wanted me to pay twice to finish a job that should have taken one trip. Find another dealer!! If you appt is at the end of the day, expect rushed and poor quality performance!Our serviceman was horrible. The technician didn't take time to put water in our tub to find the leak. He changed out a couple gaskets which were not the problem. Then he did a terrible job screwing the panels back in, my husband had to redo it all. When I called to report the leak was not fixed, the office basically told me because it was the last call of the day, that they rush through the appt to get back to the office by 6. After reporting the leak was not fixed, the office said that I would have to pay the $115 service fee AGAIN for the technician come back out to diagnose the problem again! read more

Not a fan of this company for service work or customer service. Have called and used them multiple times for expensive hot tub repairs. They often show up on the wrong days. The service tech doesn't seem communicate with owner or owner just plays dumb. They do not return phone calls or emails. They return hot tubs dirty which cause bigger problems down the road when leaves get into the pipes unknowingly. I had a leak in my hot tub last year in January and called Turbo Tubs to come take a look. They sent someone out, charging $115, and informed me that the water was frozen and they would have to wait for warmer weather to do any work. I get that, no problem. I forgot about the tub and called them to come back out later in the year. When I spoke to them, I mentioned it was supposed to be cold and specifically mentioned that I don't want to get charged again if there was nothing they could do. The rep on the phone said that wouldn't happen and encouraged me to set the appointment. I'm currently working on disputing the charges from the second time out. I may have been happy with the service, but never got a chance to find out. When I called Turbo Tubs to complain, I was greeted with a very rude "it's your fault for setting the appointment we told you to set" sort of attitude. No responsibility on their part! As a business owner myself, I'm horrified at how terrible their customer service is, and will never use or suggest them to anyone. read more

Great customer service! Last weekend I opened up my hot tub only to find that freeze damage had cracked one of the manifolds. I went to TurboTubs and Jay made me a new manifold and explained to me how to install it. He could have tried to sell me on having their service techs fix the tub, but instead explained to me how to do it. It was not easy (as he warned) but it went exactly as he said and his "hints" assisted me in completing the job. Additionally I found out I needed a new heater element and Jay sold me just what I needed, the element and a pressure switch, but not the tube, given mine was in good shape. FYI, when I called MasterSpa, the manufacturer of my tub, they tried to sell me the entire piece. Jay saved me money and again explained to me how to install it. Great service and great education. I have used other hot tub service companies in the past and TurboTubs is the best I've used. I would recommend them to anyone. Make sure you talk to Jay! read more

I wish i could give a ZERO star for Jay and Turbo Tubs. He rips customers with lot of money for services but he doesn't do anything professionally. I wanted my hot tub to be fixed as it had some leaks and called turbo tubs as this hot spa was bought there. He said the leaks will have to be fixed and need to take the tub to his place. In business if there are problems companies give a complete package and don't charge for transportation, but Jay is altogether a different business man who nickels and dimes you but the service provided was awful... When they fixed my tub and brought it back, there were two corner panels that were broke. Jay's response to this was yes our folks broke it and we have ordered parts to fix, but parts will take time to come in, but he doesn't know even tentative time. So i requested him to refund the transportation charge until it is fixed. Jay responded saying, our business works like this we will charge customer and turbo tubs are not responsible until the parts come in. He was very rude and he was suggesting me to put gorilla take to the corners that were broken by turbo tubs.... stating things do happen and they can't really do anything about it. I have never seen any ridiculous business folks like Jay. He charged so much of money but very obnoxious behavior from Jay. Beware of turbo tubs. If he doesn't fix my tub in next 2 to 4 weeks. I'm planning to take this issue further with BBB and other firms where other customers are saved from Jay and his company. I got my first tub from Turbo Tubs years ago and have always had good experiences with Jay and been pleased with the store in general when stopping by for maintenance supplies. After 17 years it was finally time to get a new tub. Despite being satisfied, I shopped around and Turbo Tubs was still the best price. The buying process was smooth and haggle free, and I was able to get an instillation appointment quickly. The crew that showed up was courteous and efficient. They had my old tub out and hauled off and my new tub installed and filled up in enough time for it to be warm enough to enjoy by early evening. One of the straps was broken on the cover lifter from the factory and when I went out to enjoy the hot tub the next day a new one had already been installed. Definitely a top notch crew. Although I did not purchase a tub from them or use their repair services, when My motor and pump went out in the coldest part of December I called and spoke with Jay asking about installing my own purchased parts. Jay told me that it was policy not to install customer supplied parts, I agreed and understood his reasoning. What compels me to compose a review is that Jay took the time to listen to what my problem was and offered his advice and told me if I had any questions to feel free to give him a call back if needed. I am perfectly capable of doing the work but being so darn -9 cold out and just coming off a September back operation I was not looking forward to doing the work but finally got an upper 40's 10 days later. Jay was just a pleasure to speak with and probably talked with me 15 min or more. Definitely will be calling Jay when I do need him for service. read more

Horrible. Bought a hot tub from Jay. Was told that it would come with chemicals for the first year. He later told us that he never told us that. While we were trying to decide what was the best tub for us, Jay told us if you decide you want a bigger one later, Turbo Tubs will take the tub back towards an upgrade at any time. We get out tub installed (like pulling teeth to get that part done) After about a month, we decided we really needed a larger tub. I called at least 20 times and Jay wouldn't return our calls. The young man that worked for him insisted he was telling Jay and finally told me what day to call because Jay would be the only one in the store. I get him on the phone and he agreed he told us that he did say he would take tubs back on upgrade, but not mine. He then told me that he had a hard time selling the tub I bought and wouldn't be interested in having it back. This guy will tell you anything to make the sale. I am a small business owner and often talk people out of buying a product I know they won't be happy with or doesn't fit their application. Lose the battle, win the war sort of thing. Fortunately the tub itself is a decent product but i am starting to have a few small issues but I will be getting some one else to repair it because this place can't be trusted. read more

We purchased a used hot tub from them, which we had delivered in September. This is our first hot tub and, after discussing our options with Jay, the owner, we decided to go with a used tub as our "starter". This would let us make a smaller investment to learn how we'd use it and what features were important to us before making a larger investment on a new tub. We knew the tub was used and there were likely to be a few more issues than with a new tub, but Jay told us that his staff of experts had rebuilt the pumps and made sure that everything was in good working order. Jay seemed extremely knowledgeable (far more so than many of the others we talked to). They had great online reviews. We had a 90-day limited warranty on the tub, and Jay assured us that their excellent service staff would be there for us should anything go wrong. We thought we had made a great decision and were in good hands. They delivered the tub. We were excited and got it filled right away and were looking forward to our first relaxing soak. No heat. We called TurboTubs...and called...and called...and called. We got the answering machine (no calls back), we got Jay's "helpers" in the store (who knew nothing but would leave a message for Jay...who never called back). It took us two weeks of constant, progressively more irritated, calls and nagging to get in touch with Jay and get him out to the house to address the problem. The problem was that his "experts" had forgotten to reattach the heater after they worked on it. Then, about three days after the limited warranty expired, just before a major snowstorm was about to hit, one of the pumps burnt out and the tub stopped working. We tried to reach TurboTubs, but no answer on the phone and the voice mailbox was full so we couldn't even leave a message. We ended up contacting another repair company to get them to come and get it working before the whole thing froze up. Now the heater has apparently burnt out. We've had this tub that they had supposedly completely checked out and made sure was in good shape for less than five months and already had two major repair bills. And we still can't get ahold of them. We've given up on Jay and TurboTubs. Yes, he's very charming and seems very knowledgeable, but don't make the same mistake we did. Their service is great right up to the point that they make the sale and have your money...after that it's nothing but unanswered phones, unreturned calls, BS and shoddy service. read more
