I did so early so we could make sure that our pool would be open and usable for memorial day. Service so far has been an absolute nightmare. We were totally flexible on the day of service and the time but just asked that it be ready to go by mid May and I let them know that I was having events on memorial day and on the Friday before. Here is what I emailed Sunset today about my experience thus far. It looks like barring a miracle, we won't even be able to use our pool on memorial day as the pool and chemicals are cloudy and our cleaner is not working properly: "I have called seven times to your office over the past three days. The first time I called on Wednesday to confirm that my service was on Thursday and it would be performed as scheduled. They confirmed yes. On Thursday (yesterday), I called because at 11 am, no one had arrived for the scheduled service that day. The front office again told me not to worry and assured me they would be coming that day, Thursday. Then I called again at 3 pm because no one was there and they said I was next on the Thursday schedule, and they should be at my home shortly. At 5:15 PM when no one had still arrived, I called again and your office was now closed. I left a message on the general number. I also called your "emergency line" and left a message there. No one ever returned my call. No one ever showed up!! Today (Friday) I called this morning and they said someone would be coming today. Then when no one arrived by 11 am, I called again and they said they didn't know what was going on and would call me back. No one did. I called again and the office was closed." So, if you want to spend your time chasing down customer service and looking at an unusable pool for the memorial day weekend, this may be your company for weekly service. Just don't ask for Thursdays, that's our day!!! (Dripping with sarcasm ).

    I would strongly caution anyone considering Happy Pools and Spa…read more On August 7, 2025, I paid $4,050.30 toward the purchase of a 24-foot above-ground pool and installation. According to the invoice, the remaining labor balance was not due until the installation was completed. After taking my money, the owner, Genaro Cruz, repeatedly told me through text messages that he had my pool and that he would be coming to install it. Over the following months, I received numerous promises with scheduled installation dates, but each time he either failed to show up or canceled at the last minute. Eventually, he stopped responding to my calls and text messages altogether. As of today, nearly a year later: No pool has been delivered. No installation has been completed. No refund has been provided. I have kept the invoice, proof of payment, and extensive text message history documenting the repeated promises and missed appointments. I gave this company every opportunity to make things right before posting this review, but after months of excuses and being completely ignored, I feel other homeowners should be aware of my experience. I am now pursuing legal remedies to recover my money. If you are considering hiring Happy Pools and Spa, I encourage you to do your own research and proceed with extreme caution.

The pool was supposed to be finished by years end 2020 and it's still unfinished in November 2021. I have continued to make payments during 2021 in hopes the pool will be finished. I paid an additional 40k due to price increases and he once again promised it would be completed before winter 2021. Now material costs have risen once again. Daniel Kamide from Dana Pools is asking for even more money to finish the project that was supposed to be completed in 2020. His new projected completion date is mid 2022. Waiting another winter for them to finish the pool will lead to further damage, possible wall collapse and just a complete waste of time money. The pool has cracks all over which they tried to repair saying a pool liner would solve the issue. I hired another pool company to inspect, and they were shocked to see this type of damage on a new install. They said a pool liner would only last a little while before further cracks appear and cause major issues. The last straw was after the installation of the pumps and equipment. I was notified that Daniel Kamide returned after installing the pumps and started to disconnect everything. He attempted to steal the pumps and equipment he installed a few days earlier. We immediately contacted the Lake Forest police department and luckily, they arrived just before he left. We have begun to peruse legal action against Dana Pools and hope no one else falls for their terrible work and shady practices

Please read my complaint in BBB to fully understand the grief caused by Danna Pools and the owner, Dan Kamide. Well over 100 feet of structural cracks in a pool that was less than 1 year old. Design, engineer, labor and materials all provided by owner and his company but somehow, without any remorse he believes it not to be his problem. RUN-RUN-RUN AWAY!!!!! Just like Danna Pools and Dan Kamide have done to me and other customers.

We had to do a lot of walking just to get to the elevators and up to our rooms. Upon checking out, we found out that we were Not only charged for Wi-Fi, but we were also Charged a resort fee on a comp room. First of all, We had two people in each room. We had two rooms. One person per day utilized the Wi-Fi. The rest of us used the Wi-Fi on her phone. So the Wi-Fi should be free since only one person from each room utilized it. In all the years I have stayed at a Caesar's property, we have never paid a resort fee, ESPECIALLY On a room that is a comped room. That's like inviting guests for dinner, asking them to bring a dish, and then charging them for part of the meal on their way out. My sister and I both had 3 to 4 nights comped and casino play on our accounts. We mistakingly booked the rooms through our slot host and apparently forfeited our casino play. The rooms are not all that expensive to begin with so by charging people who don't use the pool, or the gym or the spa or any other resort services, is not fair. Charge those who use those amenities. We are there strictly to gamble so we pay dearly. They combined all of our cards and took all of the points we earned and deducted those from our account and then charged are credit card for the balance. We may as well have Just paid for our rooms with the amounts that they charged us for resort fees and Wi-Fi that was supposed to be free for up to two people. We had to get some of our guests to the airport and did not have time to wait in the very long line to dispute this bill. They will be hearing from me next week. Again, you should not invite guests to your hotel, comp their rooms and then charge them! It's just BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS!

She did agree to send a crew back to straighten the handrail and drain handles they put on crooked, and then a suggestion that since I didn't seem satisfied with the services I received, perhaps I should find another pool company! She went so far as to give me referrals!? - seemingly implying that they were done with me as a customer. Over the course of the next week I was barraged with emailed invoices for the services - from 2 different NP staff people, and today a hard copy invoice arrived in the mail. This gives me a little more insight into the top priority for this company - profit, not customer service or satisfaction. It seems that that Naperville Pool only wants your business if you accept the service they give you and keep your concerns/complaints to yourself. Customers frequently have concerns or complaints about a service they received from a company, but when the company takes ownership over what they've done incorrectly or omitted, it tells the customer that they actually care about their customers, and are committed to both customer satisfaction and customer RETENTION. Thank you for the suggestions on alternate companies to take my business to Naperville Pools. The check is in the mail!!
