Adams family Halloween collection

This store is great, because it's World Market! All the international foods, kitchen ware, gift items, holiday goodies, overpriced furniture, and interesting alcohol you could want. But, the parking lot at this location is always a ZOO. Like, don't even try on a weekend; it will end in tears. On the plus side, the staff here is really nice and helpful.

Love this place! Really just the international foods and especially the black licorice section! Amazing finds here!!

Keyword: MALTESERS!!! Yup, those yummy little chocolate covered honey malt centered balls. You'll find 'em here and you can get 'em in big ole tubs or individually bags. Other fantastical nummies you'll find here? The Haribo Gummy Bears, Koala Yummies, Stuffed Olives, Wines, Beers, Teas and sooo very much more. They've also got home furnishings, some really cool jewelry, stationary, bath supplies, greeting cards, and I got a really great jewelry chest here last May that I am in love with. If I could go back in time, I would've purchased a second one too. If you're into worldly goods, but don't have a world travelers budget, this is THE place for you.

We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and most parties were celebrating one thing or another. I…read moreimagine the restaurant would be more enjoyable during the summer on the rooftop. There is no kids menu so I ordered the cheapest thing I could find for my small human-Swedish pancakes. I had the lobster roll while hubby had the Aussie steak and eggs. The lobster roll was pretty standard but wasn't amazing. It was small and didn't have any other sides. Service was spotty. We had to ask a few times for water and felt like we were forgotten at times. Let's be real. RH Oak Brook is a beautiful restaurant that is mostly for the vibes.

My husband and I visited last Saturday to celebrate a special holiday, and I want to start by…read moresaying the ambience is truly an 11/10. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The solarium atmosphere is stunning, the fountain is charming, and the greenery is lush and thoughtfully curated. From a design and aesthetic standpoint, it's incredible -- easily one of the most visually appealing dining spaces I've been in. The food was... good, but uneven. We started with the cheese and fruit platter, which was delicious and well done. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. And not because of the dressing -- it actually seemed like the lettuce had been freshly washed (which I appreciate), but it was still holding a lot of residual moisture. Unfortunately, that excess water diluted the Caesar dressing and left the salad soggy. That said, the croutons were to die for -- and that's saying something, because I usually hate croutons. For entrées, my husband ordered the salmon and I had the lobster roll. The lobster roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and adding the caviar was the perfect touch. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but it was nothing memorable. To be completely honest, it felt like something I could (and likely have) made at home. Well executed, just not special. Where the experience really fell apart for us was the service. Our server was absent for much of the meal and rarely checked back in. After we finished our entrées, he returned to clear the plates and apologized, explaining that he had been speaking with his manager. While that could be true, I spent many years working in the food service industry, and it's hard for me to understand why a manager would pull a server away from an active table for a prolonged conversation. Maybe that's what happened -- but regardless, it was a significant miss. Between the soggy salad, the standard salmon, and the spotty table service, I don't think we'll be returning. There are simply too many other places where a $200+ dinner feels more justified and better executed. I truly wanted to love this place -- the setting alone almost won me over -- but unfortunately, the overall experience didn't live up to the atmosphere.

It used to be primarily silk flowers but now she has unusual gift food items, unique ornaments and wonderful decor items. I made a note to self on teacher gifts, four framed vintage fairy prints, crystal christmas decorations and goarn bread mix in a vintage inspired towel. I am not a very cutesy person, bu I felt at home here becasue the items weren't the same old thing you see in this kind of a shop. Back to Ghouls Night Out. They had free psychic readings and I ate it up, as well as some great snacks and drinks. I highly recommend visiting this store and attending one of the owners events.
