Then we went out in the balcony and sat on the outdoor furniture. It was a lovely end of summer Saturday afternoon and it was so nice to be outside.

Their stores have always offered great design and quality at an affordable price, and I've I've always had great customer service. The issue I am having with Crate and Barrel now is a glitchy transition to Imprint that handles their branded credit card. I first received a digital virtual card and then received the physical credit card. The problem I've been experiencing is syncing the account to access my rewards. I tried to place an online order in early January and saw that I had rewards dollars available but they never appeared on the checkout page. I was logged into both my C&B account and my Imprint account but all I saw was this message: Redeem Reward Dollars Not seeing expected Reward Dollars? Sign into the account associated with your Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® Card. I finally called customer service and I was on a phone call with an agent for close to an hour while he worked to help me. He had to escalate the call to another person who was finally able to resolve the problem. While I was able to redeem my rewards for that purchase, I now see the same thing happening. My Imprint account shows rewards dollars available but my Crate and Barrel account shows nothing. I've read several other negative reviews from customers having similar issues since Imprint took over their credit card. I want to remain a loyal and happy customer but it should not be this difficult to make a purchase.

You've got to be quick in the outlet if you like something! We found a couch that we liked reasonably well (it wouldn't have been my ideal color but for such a hefty discount from list price we would accent it with colorful pillows and deal), but we wanted to check one other place and also grabbed lunch, which all told took about an hour. Came back and the only couch that was gone was...that one! It wasn't meant to be, obviously, but I couldn't believe how fast that moved. They have lots of options for living room, dining, bedroom and outdoor furniture with a modern aesthetic. Not as big a showroom as the one in Chicago, but the addition of the outlet is a bonus here.

This experience really changed how I feel about shopping with Room & Board…read more I understand the outlet model. I understand inventory turns over quickly. I understand that outlet purchases have to be made in person and that items can't be held. What bothered me was the refusal to answer a very basic question: "Is the item still there?" I live downtown Chicago. After renting a car, I had driven out to the outlet and found several pieces I liked, but couldn't immediately make another trip. I called because I didn't want to drive all the way back out there for nothing. I was told they don't provide outlet inventory information because it could create a "domino effect" with people calling about items that may sell before they arrive. I understand that inventory isn't guaranteed. But I'm not asking for a guarantee. I'm asking for information. "It's currently here, but it may sell before you arrive" would be completely reasonable. Instead, the answer was essentially that they simply won't tell you. I even tried going to the Room & Board location near me to see if someone there could call the outlet and check. I was told no five different ways, each response becoming more and more unacceptable. And that's when I thought: This isn't really about inventory anymore. This is about customer service. I was already a potential buyer. I was willing to make the trip. I was trying to figure out whether it was worth making the trip. Instead, I went home and started looking elsewhere -- and found comparable pieces online that were easier to purchase and had more flexible return options. So yes, maybe this is simply Room & Board's business model for its outlet. But customers are also allowed to decide that the experience isn't worth it. I'm perfectly willing to accept "We can't hold it." I'm perfectly willing to accept "It may be gone by the time you arrive." What I don't understand is "We won't even tell you whether it's there." That's not a great customer experience, and it's enough to make me take my money somewhere else. And maybe that's the point but that's another issue I don't care to tackle here.

It's the Haywood sectional, has removable cushion covers and comes with pillows. Pros: amazing quality, easy delivery. We upgraded to the memory foam cushions which was worth it for us. Tons of options and really comfortable yet firm and feels durable. Cons: in store staff seem miserable...I was mostly ignored when I walked in, they try to avoid you at all costs, which must be a commission thing. I worked with Diana, who was great, and I'd only ever work with her again. She seemed overly busy, store seems short staffed. Sofa is expensive even after many "discounts" All in all, happy it worked out for us and I do recommend if you're a patient person willing to invest in a sofa. Then come to find out that they give the manufacturer a half inch buffer. Would have LOVED to know that detail. Or possibly have someone come out and measure it before I blew almost 1K. Ive sent pictures, only one corner is actually covered. After repeated calls and emails expressing my displeasure, they have ghosted me, took the cash and are obviously done with me. I have banned my family and future generations from going there. FYI - could have gotten a cover off Amazon for half the cost and guess what? If it didn't fit, they would've taken it back.
