We started with the cheese and fruit platter, which was delicious and well done. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. And not because of the dressing -- it actually seemed like the lettuce had been freshly washed (which I appreciate), but it was still holding a lot of residual moisture. Unfortunately, that excess water diluted the Caesar dressing and left the salad soggy. That said, the croutons were to die for -- and that's saying something, because I usually hate croutons. For entrées, my husband ordered the salmon and I had the lobster roll. The lobster roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and adding the caviar was the perfect touch. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but it was nothing memorable. To be completely honest, it felt like something I could (and likely have) made at home. Well executed, just not special. Where the experience really fell apart for us was the service. Our server was absent for much of the meal and rarely checked back in. After we finished our entrées, he returned to clear the plates and apologized, explaining that he had been speaking with his manager. While that could be true, I spent many years working in the food service industry, and it's hard for me to understand why a manager would pull a server away from an active table for a prolonged conversation. Maybe that's what happened -- but regardless, it was a significant miss. Between the soggy salad, the standard salmon, and the spotty table service, I don't think we'll be returning. There are simply too many other places where a $200+ dinner feels more justified and better executed. I truly wanted to love this place -- the setting alone almost won me over -- but unfortunately, the overall experience didn't live up to the atmosphere.

Anyway, they were able to get it delivered in early December which was fine. The quality for the price is terrible. Our kitchen table delaminated and lifted. The table base was separating from the wood. We had the table replaced 3 times. And when I call the store for help no one calls me back. Crappy customer service on top of it. My advice-stay away! The issue I am having with Crate and Barrel now is a glitchy transition to Imprint that handles their branded credit card. I first received a digital virtual card and then received the physical credit card. The problem I've been experiencing is syncing the account to access my rewards. I tried to place an online order in early January and saw that I had rewards dollars available but they never appeared on the checkout page. I was logged into both my C&B account and my Imprint account but all I saw was this message: Redeem Reward Dollars Not seeing expected Reward Dollars? Sign into the account associated with your Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® Card. I finally called customer service and I was on a phone call with an agent for close to an hour while he worked to help me. He had to escalate the call to another person who was finally able to resolve the problem. While I was able to redeem my rewards for that purchase, I now see the same thing happening. My Imprint account shows rewards dollars available but my Crate and Barrel account shows nothing. I've read several other negative reviews from customers having similar issues since Imprint took over their credit card. I want to remain a loyal and happy customer but it should not be this difficult to make a purchase.

I was excited to find the mirror I wanted on display in the store when I arrived, but incredibly disappointed to hear I could NOT buy it in the store, but would have to order it online and pay for the shipping. Needless to say, there's no way I'm paying more in shipping than what the mirror is worth, so I was feeling pretty sour. West Elm still has all the pretty things, so I decided to make the drive worth it by browsing. They were having a crazy sale the day I visited, and I was able to pick up three really, really cute ceramic vases for my new house for only $20 (and they were pretty large) so I left feeling slightly less sad. Overall, it seemed like this issue was beyond the sales associate's control and they did their best to help me find some other items during my visit.

I had to get the pool open the following day (today, Sunday), and no delivery would be here in time. I called this store and got Ray close to closing time. I had him find me a similar vacuum to what I had and he put it aside for me. I told him I would be there at 11am on the dot today to pick it up. Doors were open, staff was ready and I got my vacuum. As I was opening it, it broke from the center and fell with tilting the table. I contacted customer service right away and they refused to cover claiming it as wind damage. And it was not that windy that day at all :( This is definitely a safety hazard as it is very heavy and luckily did not fall on us! I emailed them twice with the pictures and they said next time get wind insurance. This is a terrible experience and I am not buying more from this place. Getting my umbrella from Costco now with their excellent support.
