We had four different ones. The All About Ece and Spank My Monkey were best. Both came in nice Tiki mugs too. Not high Standards but nice drinks. The other two were different. Lawa Flow was the better one, but compared to the first pretty flat. Pina Colada was worst, with a taste of a pre mixed drink, too much cream and cheap Barcadi. We decided to stop right after.

To my surprise, Tiki Taki is a fantastic bar with delicious drinks, a great bartender (Daniel), lots of ephemera, an entertaining mix of customers and a quirky origin story. I went on a Sunday night and there were about ten other customers. Their bar back was new, and wasn't able to answer my questions, but the bartender Daniel quickly came around and helped me customize a Zombie. It was well balanced with fresh ingredients and decent rums. I also had a Suffering Bastard which was more gingery than I'm used to, but it was quite tasty. It was like a Dark & Stormy with more character. Lastly, Daniel graciously let me order off menu and made a Navy Grog. He hadn't made one before, but it came out okay and I appreciated him making the effort. The owner Jason and his girlfriend were there when I visited. Jason was friendly and hospitable, sharing the story of how he created his first home tiki bar and eventually opening his shop in Prague. They don't have their own mugs, but serve some drinks out of other bars' mugs which is fun. It'd be great if they eventually make their own though. I really wanted a memento of the visit. The bar itself is well and thoroughly decorated with mostly typical Tiki decorations. lots of bamboo, paintings, tikis, tapestries and the like. One stand out is the Pac Man machine embedded in a barrel in the corner of the bar. It'd dark and has the vibe of a dive-y but thoughtful tiki bar -- my favorite kind. If you like bars like Tiki Ti or Forbidden Island, you'll feel at home in Tiki Taki. Lastly, the other patrons were a mix of quiet tourists and local Czechs who had no idea what a tiki bar was and were just ordering beers. No one was rowdy or rude, and I found it fun to watch them try to figure the place out over a pint of Pilsner Urquell. The menu even has a 128 word paragraph about Tiki Bar etiquette in both English and Czech. So I imagine the mellow atmosphere I experienced isn't always what you get there. But it think this makes it unique and fun. I had a great time visiting here and will definitely make a trip back if I'm ever in Prague again. Mahalo Daniel and Jason!

Okay, so they give you a little "fob" with your menu. Some may think this like an ordering number or tracker etc. lol nope - turn it on and explore baby! The server drops off dark felt bound drink menus and then gives little Black light flashlights. As you open the menu, you're greeted with white writing on black pages with three flavor profiles per drink. The backlight revels more about your cocktail of choice based on a flavor profile. A lot of the drinks seem cool and many have a very dark liquor profile. The drinks are a little pricy-as expected in a handcrafted speakeasy very little seating. Overall, a really cool place that didn't seem very touristy, but made our experience extra special as it felt like a spot only the locals knew. Drinks are made strong, so pick your profile with intention.

You begin your descent down a black spiral lined with posters from all the beloved classics. The staircase is even topped with a Phantasm sphere. You enter the red-lit bar and it's full of memorabilia and mannequin figures of our villainous heroes. The super -friendly punk goth bartenders let us know to pick a table number, order, then they'd bring our drinks. This place is kind of sprawling with little dark corners to sit and famous demons perched throughout. Everywhere you look you'll see posters, evil faces, or bits of flesh hanging from the ceiling. And an arcade room? This bar has the vibe of a creepy sex club in a good way. The drinks! They have lots of movie-themed shots and cocktails. Most look somewhat sweet. I had a Re-Animator which comes with a syringe of sticky liquor inside. You can choose several of the cocktails in Spooky (regular) or Slasher (extra big) size, and you can straight up order extra booze in any drink. I kind of love this place. Embrace its blood-drenched silliness.

Full of contradictions, but entertaining. At the end, she made an excellent dirty martini with Mediterranean notes for me and hubby a twist on an old fashioned. I then asked for a refreshing drink and she delivered. At one point the place was full and 5 large frat boys walked in, and it's a small space. She told them there wasn't room and to come back later. Not sure what they said, but she told them sorry not here. It was funny seeing them walk out shocked and in disbelief. Same theme as everywhere else, be patient, be polite and it's reciprocated. Our friend who had been there before mentioned that the bartender wasn't really interested in being nice but rather in making really good drinks. Anyway, it's peak speakeasy vibes with moody lighting and old fashioned decor. The music is even straight from the 1920s. It was a great place to enjoy a couple of cocktails that were out of the ordinary and essentially once in a lifetime. And our bartender was moody and talented. All in all, a great place to check out.

Not only does Absintherie serve as a beautiful absinthe bar, it's also a small absinthe museum! They have displays with fascinating information about the history of absinthe, and items related to the making of absinthe. Since it's a Prague specialty, I chose to drink macerated absinthe. It was so fun to watch the bartender expertly handle the drink and the flames. Once my drink was made, I wandered around Absintherie while enjoying my drink and enjoying the displays and learning omre about absinthe. They used to sell absinthe ice cream here, according to a blog I read back in the early 2010s. Unfortunately, due to regulations in Prague, absinthe ice cream is no longer offered. However, the bartender who served me quickly whipped up a small bowl for me. When I asked him how much I owe him, he said don't worry about it, they only give it to nice people. That was so sweet and nice of him!!! 5 stars for sure!!!!! Thank you Absintherie for being such a memorable absinthe bar in Prague!
