Tulum has my heart. Beautiful beaches and white sand . It's like a dream! There are cute little boutiques all around the beach. I love how rustic it all is.

Me overlooking Tulum beach!

Melissa and I got to visit the Tulum beach during our Mayan ruin adventure, and it awe inspiring! I felt one with the earth there, although hot even in March, had a great tour guide and got to see the oldest ruins in Central America / Mexico. Many friendly people willing to take pictures of us and with us, had one awesome experience! Next time in Cancun, do the excusion that takes you through Tulum to Xel ha, worth the 150 bones per.. won't regret it, 5 stars, will return everytime!

Take it from me - this is a cool beach. One of the best beaches anywhere, and I know of whence I speak. Fine-grained bleached sand, and gentle waves that lap the shoreline. You walk far out in the water and its still shallow. Shade spots from the palms as you sit on the sand (extra points!) and unoccupied lounge chairs just waiting for your butt (yes, yours!) with no penny pinching money sucker in sight. No parking meters and no bullshit. Someone is flying a Jolly Roger. Chill. First Review. Woohoo.

Paradise. This beach is perfect for relaxation and privacy. Probably not ideal for kids/families but perfect for couples looking for a romantic get away. If you want the best authentic Mexican food I highly suggest these places: - Fresco's (brkfest: fresh/healthy), - la Eufemia (lunch: the original Tulum - tacos and hippies), - and Encantada (romantic dinner).

Our experience with Mia Property management in Tulum Mexico was a disaster. From the very beginning nothing worked. The stove was broke. Once in a while it shows like it's going to start heating up and then two minutes later goes off. We never had enough pillows for everybody. There's five people here we pay for but they were four pillows. When Mia Properties suggested to send us to the other apartment across the complex to use the stove to cook as a desperate option there were bugs lined up on the floor I'll leave you the picture in this message. That stove also is not working. The same error message on our stove is showing there. The upstairs pool is filled with water and has algae lining the bottom. The worst part is there was no door to close from the outside to prevent any bugs from coming in so for the first 60 hours of our trip we were getting attacked by mosquitoes and bugs. I have pictures of thisOther than that I think the property is nice overall. . I posted on social media about the actual aesthetics of your courtyard and pool area. The overall unit is fantastic the design is wonderful we like the layout. But when you're on vacation with your family who my wife hasn't seen her mom and dad for five years and then meeting their granddaughter for the first time and I'm dealing With all of this on today Father's Day. My suggestion is if you have another property offsite somewhere else maybe it's more expensive but if it's available move us right now. We have today tomorrow and Tuesday left that'll be a great way to salvage this vacation.we asked to be refunded for the first 3 days at the Saskab Tulum property. O vacation we obviously planned on going out we have reservations for a couple fancy dinners out but other than that our families Venezuelan we like to cook and spend time together. And when you can't cook on a five day trip it takes the fun out of it to a certain degree. Finally on Father's Day they gave us a different property 10 minutes away that was a lot better. Of course that day I spent three hours moving everyone's luggage to the new spot not how I planned on spending my vacation on Father's Day. The last 2 1/2 days were up to par as far as how we should've been taken care of begin with. We were grateful for this. That doesn't change the fact that the first 2 1/2 days we were miserable and get eaten up by bugs since I placed it at the door. I requested a refund immediately within 24 hours when I requested it again when I get home they told me they don't do refunds because it wasn't requested in the first 24 hours. I have a request for a refund winter hours and will screenshot it and included in his post. If you ever see this rental company Mia or this complex Saskab in Tulum just RUN AWAY. It's a bush league set up with incompetence at its worst.

The beach, the water and the views are gorgeous. Keep in mind though that there are pretty much no facilities. There are other great beaches in the area that do have facilities, but you can't beat the views of this place. Well worth a visit.

Tulum beach is beautiful. White soft sand and turquoise water like you see in postcards. The water is warm, with gentle waves and you can be 100 feet off shore and still be standing on the bottom. People of all shapes and sizes so no need to feel self conscious. Best of all, no vendors. One of the best beaches I've been to

Sian Ka'an will forever be a special place. Not just because it's an UNESCO world heritage site,…read morebut because of it's natural beauty, biodiversity and the fact that I got engaged here. I highly suggest getting out on a boat to tool around the reserve, photograph the Beautiful birds, check out the manitees, and float in the Mayan channels. It's a special place!

This review is for Punta Allen, at the end of the Sian Ka'an bioreserve. Holy moly where do I…read morestart? We were thinking about a day trip to Holbox, but we met a local Yucatan couple at a cenote one day that said Punta Allen would be a much better option. The main deterrent is the road to get there, and that's what keeps the place such a hidden gem. They told us we would be fine in our little tiny rental car, but every blog/article online said you needed a 4x4. I read horror stories about getting stuck in the sand and the idea of getting a flat on a tiny strip of land in the middle of the ocean with nobody around for miles definitely scared us. We proceeded to ask local people, and they pumped us up to go, so off the hell we went! It was definitely the craziest drive I've ever experienced. There are so many dips everywhere, if you're not a good driver or a nervous driver it might not be a good idea. It is also one of the most beautiful drives through the jungle with glimpses of the ocean every now and then and watch out for the iguanas crossing the road. And then finally you reach the little town of Punta Allen, with no cell phone service and electricity only at certain times of the day. Amazing. There are plenty of eco tour options in the area, they're all connected so you're going to get the same price and tour. We were having lunch at one of the restaurants on the beach, and one of the tour boats was right there, so we finished up our super fresh seafood lunch and got right on the boat. Our host was amazing and man can he drive a boat! He's a local that's dedicated to this and knows this part of the ocean like the back of his hand. He took us to see dolphins, then to see sea turtles, then to snorkel around the coral reefs, and finally to the "natural pool." This was such an amazing experience! This was one of the most magical experiences in Tulum, which is already magical. The hardest roads sometimes lead to the most beautiful places. I don't know whose bumper sticker I read that on but it fits. The rough journey makes it that much sweeter, and I'm so glad we made it.

This beach club was super fun! Located in the heart of Tulum, Mexico. It gave iii points vibes…read morehonestly, when you walk in it's as if you're walking into a trippy garden. There's someone doing face jewels as soon as you walk in, not sure how much it was but it looked super pretty. There's a system to get drinks where you reload your wristband with money and they scan it every time you order a drink to deduct each transaction. The only bad thing is that whatever you have left on the bracelet goes to waste because you can't get your money back. Each drink was kinda pricey, between $30-$40. I would suggest pre-gaming before coming or buying a table. The music was good, it was a lot of tiki tiki. There is a beach view from the dance floor. Everyone was very nice, the staff were extremely busy but attended each customer in a timely manner. I ordered an espresso martini, the presentation was great but the taste wasn't as balanced as I preferred. It taste more like tequila rather than coffee. I then switched back to vodka/sodas. I highly recommend you check this spot out for a night of dancing and fun!

If you're staying in Tulum and your hotel or airbnb tragically doesn't have a pool or beach access, consider reservations at Papaya Playa Beach Bar. You can also buy tickets from their website.

You get a tranquil atmosphere and just a few paces away from the sea and this restaurant/bar is completely open-air so you can feel the breeze and soak in the ocean view. The menu is a Mexican culinary experience elevated and with an emphasis on the grill and crafting the food by hand. There's a wide array of unique signature drinks and cocktails influenced by the tropical atmosphere and nature. We ordered the cocktails. One was a chocolate milkshake and a whirlwind of dessert flavors. Very satisfying. The is more citrus based but just as delicious and is the perfect drink on a hot day. We really enjoyed watching them make the guacamole at our table by grinding oven roasted avocados into a flavorful mashup. Then they bring out the tostadas fresh off the grill and it is heaven for guac lovers. Also, their papas are really good. Thick slices of potatoes dressed in a delicious sauce. Service at the restaurant is also excellent and they really aim to please you. Enjoyed both our meals here very much.

Now having stayed in the Tulum area in a few different methods- we enjoyed each in a different way…read more Here at LPM, as everyone has said, the welcome was warm and informative. Tom explained via a personalized drawn map of the area- including taxi pricing, favorite restaurants and tips for activities- and all turned out to be very helpful. Checked in to the treehouse suite, which was good size for us plus our 6 year old. Room includes hot water, fresh water bottles, a safe and plenty of large fans- the fans (during out November stay) were perfectly great to chill down at night- even needing a light jacket in the early morning. On the down side, we are used to the nature and the bugs, that is why we come down here of course, and critters are part of it- so if staying on the jungle side, expect to see more ants and things. My main criticism was the gas smell that came through the windows at busy times of the day- because of the generators pumping and the constant taxis outside, the gasoline did bother me. However, the positives well outweighed any negative- we spent most our time out on the beach of Maalix- they were hospitable, we ate and drank in their bar and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Also spent time cooking in LPM's kitchen, which was a welcome bonus of staying in LPM. Pick up a few staples on your way in from town at Chedruai or borrow a bike from LPM and swing over to pick up fruit, veggies, breakfast items, juices, butter, milk etc... Aside from cooking in the communal kitchen- you can find great fresh lobster and fish next door at Simple, yummy brick oven pizza at La Onda about 6 shops down - and then keep going, your options of bars and tacos on the beach are endless. The location, if you want to stay out of the fray of people, even the beaches down on this side are quieter than further north near the town and shops. All in All, it's great that you can pretty much feel free to enjoy the property and the area; no one bothers you about rules and regulations on the beach, as long as you are respectful. We felt safe and well cared for. OH! Try the fresh fruit plate from their cafe in the front on the street side, a wide variety of fresh cut fruits- delicious granola and yogurt. We will be back next time we venture down to southern Quintana Too!
