Second beach I visited during my stay in Tulum. It was so much fun! My bestfriends and I got there around 11:30am on a Monday to get into the beach club..two days before it was packed & we weren't allowed in. We were able to get chairs and tables so we could hangout and enjoy the beach club. The food was an 8/10. My fav dish def. had to be their grilled shrimp tacos & passion fruit margaritas were pretty good just needed a bit more tequila. The water and waves were just right and their service was good as well. Many vendors selling beautiful bathing diff styles of bathing suits & cups of mango! We stayed watching the sun go down, it was so beautiful and relaxing!

had a great time at playa paraiso! the guac and chips were so fresh, and this place is definitely a cheaper beach club than the other ones in the area. the beach beds are also so cheap and i rlly enjoyed how comfortable it was. the only thing i didn't really like were the drinks - they're too sweet for my taste

Maybe I came to this place on a bad day. Can't do anything about the seaweed with global warming upon us. But, the service here is awful. They had no WIFI. I had to ask someone for a menu and it felt like I was putting the guy out to get me one. Doesn't this owner want to make money? If so, this should be a much easier process. Once I finally got a menu, there were no cocktails on it, which is what I wanted. Plus, no one ever came back once I asked for a menu. I bought mango from a beach vendor and then left. This kind of thing makes me frustrated from the perspective of a business being run badly. Way to leave lots of on the table.

A beautiful clean and reserved beach! We loved it!

A beautiful beach! They have done a great job on conserving it clean and reserved. The name definitely suits it's presence, paradise!

Beautiful beach in Tulum, we visited 3x while in Tulum last wk. Beach is clean and perfect clear blue water. We rented beach chairs, ordered food and cocktails that were brought out to us. We also got massages done on the beach. Everyone working at Playa Paraiso is friendly, kind and accommodating. Can't wait to come back and visit.

Absolutely stunning. From an information booth at the parking lot to the Mayan ruins, my husband and I purchased a package that included entry to the ruins, and then a boat ride/snorkeling at Playa El Paraiso. From the ruins, we walked to the Playa from the entrance of the Hotel Villa Pescadores, where we also enjoyed lunch in the hotel's outdoor seating area. On a side note, I think this hotel is perfect for those that want a simple, authentic, beach getaway. The property is lined with beachfront bungalow units with straw topped roofs, wood paneling, and wispy white curtains... It's exactly what I would imagine for a paradise beach. We were told the beach is one of the most beautiful in the world and my gosh, the images of the white sand and bright blue waters will forever be etched in my memory. We went on a Tuesday, and it was very quiet with very small amount of people, compared to other local beaches. I recommend this beach as a definite must see if you're coming to the area.

I love this beach so much the water is really clear and turquoise blue. It gets really crowded during this season December- February I've been here during June and there is lots of seaweed and the water looks a little dark but it's a beautiful place to hear the waves crashing and just recharge.

If you're looking for a beach club in the heart of famed Paradise Beach, head over to Playa Paraiso. Located inside Tulum's National Park, there are several beach clubs to choose from in the area but Playa Paraiso is the standout and parking is free. You'll be given a parking validation when you're ready to leave. If you're driving, be aware there is only one street to enter and to exit so during "rush hour" around 4ish and on, traffic is bad. It's not only bumper to bumper but also Extremely tight sideways. The street is narrow with cars coming in and cars exiting in addition to cars parked along the street which make it super tight. Spending a day at Playa Paraiso beach club does not come cheap. WiFi is $20 per person. Don't even bother asking someone for the WiFi code because every person's code is unique and is valid for 8 hours. If you want to lounge here all day, 2 chaise lounge chairs with an umbrella is $400 to rent for the day plus $1,500 minimum spend on food and drinks. 2 beds with an umbrella is $300 to rent plus $2,500 minimum spend on food and drinks. Your drinks and food can easily add up to $1,500 or $2,500 for two because the cost of food and beverage here is above average. The beds and chaise lounge chairs have a lot of cushion and both are comfortable. You're not necessarily coming here for the food (albeit it tastes just fine) but you're here for the gorgeous beach and setting. If you've never been to Tulum, just be aware the currents here are particularity strong year round but the water is Beautiful.

Cheap and relaxing beach club. It was recommended to us by our taxi driver. The beach was beautiful but very crowded. There was a $50 USD for our group to obtain an umbrella with a square bed. We used the credit towards food and it was well worth it.

Absolutely beautiful! We had an amazing time relaxing at Playa Paraiso. We ended up renting a bed. Prices here were great as well. We also got a massage on the beach at the booth next to the restaurant. I would definitely recommend getting your massage before going for a swim in the beach! I had sand everywhere during my massage. I guess it was exfoliating? They also have an outdoor shower which came in very useful. We ordered some food for lunch and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed their watermelon salad!

This was a fun beach with some cool waves. It's the most spoken of beach in Tulum and is worth checking out. It's a better beach for swimming without having to worry about coral and rocks. It's just smooth swimming. As you pass many other beach areas, you would probably know that this is playa paraíso just from the presentation alone; wide, open, and pretty light sand everywhere. We wound up renting a bed on the beach for 200 pesos, which was much cheaper than the other beaches that demanded a minimum consumption of 350 pesos. After telling one of the waiters that we just wanted to be in the sun near the water, I think we might have been able to do that for free, by just putting our stuff in the sand and swimming. Ask first if you can just do that, if you're wanting to just swim. And if you want a drink, then order a drink. Or order one inside and take it outside.

Gorgeous beach view

Beautiful beach. Like many spots in Tulum, service was a bit disorganized if you weren't staying at the hotel. My boyfriend and I approached at 3pm from the beach (public access entrance is a bit further north) and asked for two chairs. Within ~10 minutes, an attendant had snagged some chairs for us at 100 pesos a piece and we had a spectacular view of the ocean. The place was a lot busier than Papaya Playa Project, where we hung by the beach two days earlier, but it was also a lot less pretentious (with a better beach). The money got us bar and toilet/shower access. Toilets were pretty clean for a spot this populated. Drinks were cheap ($12 for two margaritas and two bottles of water). Beds were adjustable and very comfy! This place is for you if you don't care about frills. This place is not for you if you want a beach free of families and people selling fruits.

There's someone doing face jewels as soon as you walk in, not sure how much it was but it looked super pretty. There's a system to get drinks where you reload your wristband with money and they scan it every time you order a drink to deduct each transaction. The only bad thing is that whatever you have left on the bracelet goes to waste because you can't get your money back. Each drink was kinda pricey, between $30-$40. I would suggest pre-gaming before coming or buying a table. The music was good, it was a lot of tiki tiki. There is a beach view from the dance floor. Everyone was very nice, the staff were extremely busy but attended each customer in a timely manner. I ordered an espresso martini, the presentation was great but the taste wasn't as balanced as I preferred. It taste more like tequila rather than coffee. I then switched back to vodka/sodas. I highly recommend you check this spot out for a night of dancing and fun!

If you're staying in Tulum and your hotel or airbnb tragically doesn't have a pool or beach access, consider reservations at Papaya Playa Beach Bar. You can also buy tickets from their website.

Great vibes, food, friendly staff, and child friendly. The space is beautiful and stylish, exactly what you would expect from a nice beach club in Tulum. As you walk through the lobby and restaurant, you pass the gorgeous pool that also has beach club seating options, you then step down onto the beach where there are beach beds on the sand, which is where we sat. The venue has lots of food options to choose from. Each person selects an appetizer, entrée, and unlimited cocktails. While pretty pricey, it's totally worth it. Overall the food was decent, not amazing. But with the fun music blaring from the DJ booth, the gorgeous ocean, and the delicious drinks, I wasn't too concerned that the food wasn't knocking my socks off. I highly recommend this beach club.

Must try: Catch of the Day Ceviche and Balabamba Pizza with a Basil Bala Cocktail!…read more Why: Ceviche was delightful and refreshing mixed with mango, watermelon, onion, radish, mint, and cilantro. The tortilla chips were moon shaped, thicker, and crunchy - great to dip in ceviche for added texture. Balabamba Pizza had lobster on top of charcoal dough with some pesto and truffle. We really enjoyed great flavor mix. I washed it down with a Basil Bala Cocktail, which had bourbon, mixed berries, and sparkling water - refreshing! Notes: We went on a Monday so it was a relaxing chill vibe with awesome music to jam to while sitting in pool or lounging around. Also beach front neat and convenient. Fun cabanas and lounge furniture to relax on. Great service - friendly, helpful, and attentive. There's a 1600 pesos table minimum or 800 per person minimum, which we came for the food, drinks, and good vibes so it was totally worth it. Had a fantastic late lunch while relaxing under the sun, in the pool, with a drink in hand and music to dance to!

This was our very first cenote on this trip. It's 500 pesos for adults and 250 pesos for kids that are less than 4'5" or so. Cash only. (If paying in US dollars, it's $30 US and $15 for children.) Be sure to collect your ticket. There is free parking out front as well. Once you go in, there are outdoor showers that you are expected to use to rinse off. No sunscreen is allowed. And before you get your Personal Flotation Device (PFD), they will check that you have showered. However, no one is actually watching you as you rinse off as some reviews have mentioned. They'll also provide a snorkeling mask too. You'll need to walk down some stairs and there's an option to rent a locker for 30 pesos. Some people left their belongings unattended, but you'll get a key for your locker and they'll hold your ID card until you return the key. It's a small area to snorkel around and you'll see a lot of turtles. There are some darker areas, and a waterproof flashlight would have been very useful during those parts. The water is super clear, so let's keep it that way. There's a large grassy area to dry off and relax. I would suggest bringing some snacks if you want to relax out in the sun because it does get cold in the water after awhile. There are no in and out privileges though. Overall, it's a nice little cenote to visit. I would recommend 1-2 hours depending on how much time you want to swim around. Park hours: 8:10 am to 4:45 pm, last entrance at 4:15 pm.
