We decided to build a modified Tiny House, in our backyard. Went to Tuff Shed. Luis Rodriguez, in sales, could not have been more helpful...and patient. This was a big move for us and we had MANY questions, and made a few alterations that forced Luis to rip up old plans and start anew. He graciously helped with every step and we never felt pushed, rushed, or like we were a bother. We decided on the Pro Tall Ranch and couldn't be happier. Included a loft for sleeping and a skylight. The build happened ON TIME, in a very professional manner. No mess left behind. If you're looking for a shed of any kind, check out THIS Tuff Shed location. I can't vouch for any other. I can also recommend someone to convert the shed to an inviting living space. Thanks, Luis! read more

Although their product is wonderful, the customer care from the Tuff Shed people is terrible. It took months and months for them to complete my shed because someone in their office who was supposed to schedule things just didn't. And there was a problem with the handle on my shed's door Monday. I called and left a message. 24 hours later, no return call, so I called again. Wednesday no return call so I called again, and spoke to Carlos to arrange for them to come Thursday morning. Come Thursday, no call, no show. When I called to ask where they were, I was told it was for Friday morning that I had "told him" I couldn't do it this morning, which was totally untrue. So if you want a good shed, call them, but don't expect good customer care. read more

THUMBS UP! We are about to purchase our third shed from this company. We have NEVER been disappointed! They arrived on time and were done earlier than expected. The barns are exceptional! We wouldn't use any other company. After the third shed they are making a custom horse barn for us. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Special shout out to both Richard RJ Oster and Luis!!! read more

I had some difficulties with the Tuff Shed website, their software had some bugs in it and it would save the design. 5 weeks later, delivery time. They were 4 1/2 hours late for the installation. Not ideal. Then the problems began....1.) Window was on the wrong wall, the roof overhang was not included, there was whole in wall that had been patch with caulk, and the painting was incomplete. I have now been sent to "warranty Coverage" to address the issues. I am not optimistic that it will go well. Ironically, Tuff Shed had an elaborate website and they confirm everything with DocuSign so I have an indisputable record of the order (and what I paid)....it just doesn't match the shed they built on my property read more

Since the beginning talking with Luis Rodriguez and him coming out to measure everything went very smooth. The Shed is beautiful it matches the house perfectly. The crew was very nice, clean and professional. We love our Tuff Shed so glad we went with them. read more

I placed an order for a 10x12 shed in my backyard in October 2017. Before the installation, their sales professional Jim Morabito came to site for inspection and advice, and their office administration Brittney Harkins confirmed the details of the order in all respects. They are very professional and courteous. The worker Kevin and his supporting staff worked in a very skillful and efficient manner. They handled this project with a due caution and circumspection. The shed was completed in 4~41/2 hours without any delay. This is absolutely a very successful team work. I really enjoyed working with them, and this is a wonderful experience. Michael P. read more

Tuff Shed is based here, apparently, altho I was going through Marina del Rey Home Depot to purchase one. Let me put this succinctly. I ordered a shed, was supposed to take delivery on Tuesday of the week.... waited and waited... they did not show. I phoned them several times, they never phoned me until WAY after the time they were due. Then they told me there were "problems with the truck," uh huh. And, in an age where people have phones growing out of their hands, they could not have phoned?. So this was rescheduled for Friday. Again, waiting and waiting. This time got on the horn to their district manager who said they would come out and do it. Meanwhile, the truck, with my building, in pieces, was here, but this little guy who spoke no language I know of, was waiting for his "partner" to unload. That partner never showed. Around noon, after many phone calls, got word that this was not going to happen. I asked this guy to leave (he'd been sitting in my yard most of the time, doing nothing.) Now you realize, I wasted now two days, getting up very early, for these jokers. The last words to me from their district manager is they could throw in a roof turbine. Uh... you kidding me? Like I need one.. like that makes this all fine? This basic shed, with minimal shelving, runs over $3600. If you care about your time, your sanity, stay away from these people. I have never seen such horrible customer no-service in my life. Buying a shed, any shed, somewhere else then hiring people to put it up, will still cost you less to say nothing of the aggravation. read more

We recently purchased a 12 x 16' Tuff Shed and are pleased with the results and the way our sales rep and the installers handled the procedure. When we purchased we arranged to have it installed 2 days later. We then needed to push the date and that was not a problem. As promised they were here 2 days after our call for the new installation date. As with most construction it took longer than expected and had a few hurdles but the rep RJ made good on his promises, treated us and his installers respectfully and although it took 2 -1/2 days to complete (not a big deal to us) we are happy with the solidity and construction of the shed. The group used for installation was Logan Engineering, Castaic, and they worked tirelessly to get this job done correctly even when it came to moving a window so things lined up nicely. Thank you Balthazar! Tuff Sheds are not cheap even though we had a discount. But I am convinced it is a superior shed to many others and will last us many, many years. read more

Shed was to be installed Wed. Guys did a good job, except, wrong size door. Someone called, said the correct size door would be installed Fri. morning. At 4:30 Fri. afternoon, I called to see why no one has arrived, no one has called. I was told, they got caught-up on another job, could come by Mon. morning, between 9 and 11. No explanation as to why they couldn't have called me some time during the day. I can forgive the mistake with the wrong door, but it's unforgivable for a company to make someone wait all day, without any communication. Extremely unprofessional and rude! If I could get my money back, I would. read more

I can't say enough good things about my new TuffShed. I got the 10x12 Premier Tall Ranch with loft, shelves and workbench. The shed is solid, rugged, expansive and looks good. Luis from Tuffshed answered all my questions, responded to my calls and re-worked my quote several times until I got exactly what I wanted and under budget. Delivery and installation went accordingly to plan and was very professional. The shed came out looking bigger and better than what I was expecting. I'm happy I have plenty of room now for my Halloween, Christmas and backyard needs. The whole experience was exceptional. I recommend if you're in the market for a new shed to contact Luis from TuffShed in Pacoima and visit their showroom. read more

I went into tough shed last week and met with the sales agent Rudy. He was very friendly and helpful. We ended up purchasing a 10x12 tough shed (ranch style) and it was delivered and installed today by Ruben and his crew. They got to my house early and finished up in about 6 hours. They did a great job! I am really happy with the entire experience! My tough shed looks very nice! read more

I had a Tuff Shed built on my other property eleven years ago and everything went great. It was on time and was built just as I ordered it. Plus the builders were great too. So I decided that I wanted a larger barn style one built in my back yard of my new home. I went online and picked out the style and designed it the way I wanted it. I received one email from the company asking where I was going to put it and when I responded I never heard any more from them again. So I decided to drive to the local Tuff Shed office in Tukwila, Washington on July, 8, 2019. Once there I was able to get in touch with a salesman. We went over everything and had it designed exactly the way I wanted it. I paid for it in full and we picked the date of 8-15-2019 as the install date. I was told they would come in the early afternoon. I took that day off and waited for the day to come. When that day came I received a call from the builders asking me if they could come around 9:30 that morning instead of the afternoon. They stated they had a cancellation of their morning appointment. I had the spot prepared just like the salesman told me to do it. Right away the installer had an attitude about the way I had prepared the shed location. He said that I did not put enough gravel down and yet it was perfectly level and the size of the foot print of the shed. I told him I had more gravel and could add more and if it needed it. He said it was too late for that now. Then he said to me with a winching facial expression that they had not seen that I wanted two roof vents when they loaded the truck. He said that maybe the store could run them out to him. I said that I want the roof vents. They began to build shed and no one showed up with the roof vents. I went out to check on the progress of the shed and was told that I should not come out and to stay away from them while they build the shed. I did not like this since it is my property that they are on. So as the day goes on I see that they are roofing the shed and no vents are installed. After the shed was done the builder said that he needed me to sign the work order and that he noted the vents were not installed. He said that someone would contact me about the vents and would send someone out to install them later, but it would not be him. He then went on to say how he really don't like the vents and that they can crack in the weather we have here with it getting cold in the winter and also hot in the summer. Then said but "I am not really saying they are bad to have just my opinion" " he then went on to say that I should have some vents put in the sides of the shed instead of those roof vents. I then realized he never wanted to put my vents in all along. I felt he purposely never brought the vents because of what he said. I had these vents in my last shed and really liked them they provide ample light during daylight hours inside the shed even when the door is closed. They were eleven years old and I never had any issue with them at all. So I called the local office where I purchased the shed and stated I did not get my vents. The women in customer service there asked if they had left the shingles off the roof so that they could come back and install the roof vents. She seemed a little shocked that the answer was no they finished the entire shed. She stated "that normally they send the same crew out to fix the problems and it seemed odd that they went ahead and roofed the shed. I told her that I don't think he wanted to install the vents and that is why I don't have them. I said they never intended to install them and no attempt was made to get them that day. She said that she would have a manager call me and get someone out to install the vents. Three weeks later no call was ever received. I had at that point decided that I probably would never get my vents and that at this point it would not be a good idea to have them do the job after they roofed it anyway. I was super disappointed with the way I was being treated and the way the whole job went. Keep in mind they had almost one and half months to get this ordered correct. They warn you as a customer that if you change anything that you have agreed to you will be charged extra and this includes scheduling dates that were set in place at the time of the order. As a customer they changed the time, they did not provide the vents as I had ordered. They never even acknowledged this to me from the office as I was told they would. I had to call them and they still never called me back. On 9-23-2019 I called the office for the second time over a month after the install of the shed and just asked for my money back on the vents. They seemed overly eager to do that and when I said no one ever called me back about not getting the vents the women I was speaking with said "that's not good " I said no its not. I will never buy another Tuff Shed again and would tell everyone that is reading this to not do business with this company. The read more

The service at this location is extremely disappointing! Our garage that we purchased at a very high cost, has FAILED every single inspection we have had and we now have to wait a minimum of 10 more days because the project manager decided to wait until we failed our final inspection to acquire an engineers report, instead of when he first realized we needed it 2 weeks ago. According to their brochure they are "Committed to Quality" and so far we have received horrible quality work and far beyond horrible customer service. The project manager and sales rep are both extremely incompetent and are not the best at their positions. We have purchased other Tuff Sheds for some of our other properties we have sold, but needless to say this is the last purchase our company will ever make from Tuff Shed again! read more

We saw the Tuff Shed models at Home Depot, and tried to order through the brochure that was available there. But when we called, we got very few answers and no one willing to come to our site to give us recommendations. We wanted to see examples of what our model (lean-to, 6x8) would look like, and found this location. We didn't realize they sell higher-end Tuff Sheds than what the box stores have. For only a slight difference in cost that was well worth it, we got insulation and more options. We also got, most importantly, a super friendly and helpful sales rep, Luis. He answered every question, made suggestions, and even came to our house (an hour away) to pick up our paint cans (we customized our shed's colors). In addition, when two workers came to install, they had to stop because of pouring rain (so unusual in LA). We didn't know when they would be able to return to the job. The very next day, I got a call from the installers. They were willing to come by after finishing the installations that were already scheduled for that day. This is LA. I can't believe they were willing to drive all the way from NoHo to Venice in rush hour to finish up, after they had already worked a full day! Despite working in the dark (they had a powerful light), they were careful with the rest of the installation, swept and cleaned out the mud that was unavoidably tracked inside, and carefully painted, including an additional layer due to the mud splatter from the rains the day before. They never seemed rushed and they had such a positive attitude. This is amazing customer service. They never kicked us over to a drawn-out re-scheduling process. This company and location are tops. I always got a phone call or email within the hour, and I really can't believe how everyone went above and beyond to do the job fast and right. We're very happy that we ordered directly from Luis and this location, and highly recommend them. read more

I bought a Tuff Shed a couple of years ago. I was happy with the installation and cost, but shortly thereafter half of the shingles fell off of one side. There's a warranty and someone came out and fixed them. This year several more fell off the same side. This time when I called, they insisted that it must have been storm damage. (It wasn't, there were no storms around the time they fell off). I told them that, and they said "that's your opinion". Which sounds rather nasty and unfriendly. So, beware the warranty that doesn't hold for the full 5 years as stated. Note that I'm in Lincoln Nebraska and the Tuff Shed outfit here is located in Omaha; that's where the nasty person works. read more

Last year in July 2015 we ordered a shed for our house. Picked out what we needed style wise and color for the paint/trim, which the paint was free because holiday week, Great! But the whole experience we could have done without!! Lost paperwork(RJ), no shows ( RJ), no returned calls (RJ), no Supervisor on-site to over see(RJ), and mind you we signed all documents in the office and left $1000.00 deposit (that didn't go missing thank god!!) Then another person from Tuff Shed contacted us about the paperwork in December, it was like starting over!! All of our payments are now 7 months behind because the paperwork was FINALLY completed in 2016!! Oh and the kicker......now we and Mother-in-law (because we live with her and RJ insisted she had to co-sign) get harrassing phone calls day and night from every creep in the world about windows, roofing, painting, every kind of contractor you could think of!! Why was our number given out!!! My Father-in-law passed away in January and it's upsetting when they call and ask for him!! Shame on you Tuff Shed for hiring such INCOMPETENT sales staff, RJ was terrible. Lost documents? I didn't feel like showing up? (What RJ said when we asked why he didn't show another time) What BS!! We don't even like answering the phone at home anymore and we ARE on the DO NOT CALL by the way!! Just an awful experience all around :( read more

DO NOT USE TUFF SHED #tuffshed. I ordered my shed on July 6, 2018 to be installed by July 27. For my Tuff Shed Premier Pro Ranch Garage, install began 8/2/18, finished on 8/5/18 WITHOUT A GARAGE DOOR! Salesman FORGOT to order garage door back on July 6. I was promised for SURE I would get the door installed on Aug 15 or 16. I checked up on it today, and the date for door install has been moved to Aug 27. Note that this was NOT a special order- this is a standard door for a standard Tuff Shed model! Other problems with TuffShed: I had to fight with Tuff Shed management to get the contractor to put a starter strip on the roof. Roof was initially installed without starter strip and had exposed tar paper. I also installed Anchor Bolts in the concrete slab as directed by Salesman. Tuff Shed Contractor had to saw them all off because salesman Scott gave incorrect diagram and instructions. Salesman blamed it on the fact that we did not use the concrete person he recommended. read more

The only part of this company that is any good at all is the shed. They showed up to do 2 sheds without 1/2 the tools they needed & ended up using ours. The installers were very nice young men, but not qualified to be doing the install by themselves. They needed some supervision & had NONE! They were still trying to work at 9:00pm & of course, under the circumstances, didn't finish & had to return the next day. When we called to express our dissatisfaction, it took one week for them to return the call & then were very rude & unsatisfactory. We have now dealt with Tuff Shed & Shed World & would NEVER deal with Tuff Shed again. read more

I bought a 12x20 building. They required me to build a subframe because one end was 18" above the ground. The day they were to deliver it at 8:00 am was a no show or call. I called them at noon to find out what was going on. 3 days later they showed up. The walls were not installed correctly, bubbles in the ends , and the door was installed incorrectly ( can't close it) and no door trim. I tried to get them out and talk to the manager for 2 weeks. Finally I got a very nice lady at the corporate office. Within a day I gat a call from the manager and he met with me and looked at the building. His words ( not acceptable) I will get a crew out here. 2 weeks later and no crew. I called the manager back and left a message. Nothing. I called the dispatch office and he gave me a date they would be there. Here it is a week after the day and now show or call and will not return my calls. In contrast to the highly negative review of the Tuff Shed operation in Sylmar from an unhappy Long Beach resident, we recently had a shed installed by them and couldn't have been more pleased. On a late Tuesday afternoon (March, 2014), several weeks ago, we met with the Sylmar manager (Rudy) and discussed with him our plans for installing a shed. He made a number of useful suggestions regarding the shed's orientation in its future space (roof geometry being one of them). We arranged for an early Thursday installation and were pleased when a team of 2 (Oscar was the leader) arrived at 8:30 Thursday morning as promised. Oscar and his companion worked efficiently in the construction of our 8' x 10' shed, finishing the job in less than 3 hours. It is a very solid and well-constructed storage unit and its installation was the height of professionalism. In short, we were delighted with our Sylmar Tuff Shed dealings and recommend them enthusiastically. GD read more

The lumber was either cut wrong or assembler failed to get the joints together. Many studs are not connected to headers and have 1/16" or 1/8" gaps where they should join. Worst of all, many many nails missed the stud and are sticking 2" thru to the inside! I counted 38 of these. After much telephone grinding they sent out a "supervisor" who spent an hour trying to convince me that A: There is nothing wrong or B: I should accept $100. settlement. Sooo. I threaten to sue in small claims and civil. I threaten to call the CEO/Owner in Denver every week and sue him too. Hour later he agrees to send out a guy to fix. Fellow proceeds to clip off the nail points with a tile nipper- this leaves 1/8" or more sharp point protruding, so also dangerous plus much harder to see. Then the guy taps the points out towards the outside, which causes nail heads to break the paint, expose raw material. Looks crappy and cost three grand. read more
