Excellent authentic home style Mexican. I had the Barilla tacodillas which were amazing and made with beef brisket. Our table also had chips and salsa, guacamole, chicken tostadas, chicken burritos and street corn all were amazing with the exception of the street corn which had been frozen corn, but otherwise it was well seasoned and tasty. They have a couple of beers on tap. Beer was cold and delicious! The people are very friendly and politely offer assistance in ordering and answering questions. The building is clean and tidy, the Employees were all well presented and in uniform. I recommend Tu Taco and look forward to returning. read more

So as usual when we travel we always look for a place that has great burritos. My wife looked for the next place in Myrtle Beach and she found a great one, she said it says the owner from San Diego CA, I myself originally from San Fran Bay Area and know Cali is where the best burritos come from. We had a good feeling. So I normally don't order steak as it's so iffy to find a place that uses good quality tender steak, so often places have rough chewy steak so I go with chicken. But my gut told me go for steak. So steak it was for me and my wife and daughter chose chicken. We added a order of chips and guacamole with 3 drinks. The chips n guac were good, off to great start, then we got our burritos I noticed they were hefty, they were loaded! I took my first bite was like oh yeah think we got a winner here. After 2-3 more bites with good amounts of beef it was tender tasty and not chewy, It was very good, wife and daughter both nodded in agreement these were great burritos. Their pintos tasted very much like home made, flavor was excellent. I couldn't even finish I was full! After we were done eating I had to let them know it is great to find a great burrito restaurant. Let them know I would be writing review as I was impressed and couldn't believe they were not packed with business. Lady at the counter was very friendly! I ordered the steak California burrito and it was huge! Will be two meals for me. Hot, fresh fries, steak, pico, rice, beans, guacamole and the tortilla was toasty and browned perfectly. Steak seemed a bit sparse and I could not find the guacamole in there much at all. Beans and rice were in the burrito but were not in the description. The menu at the restaurant said it was like $11.50 but my bill was like $15 before tip. Not sure what happened as I ordered nothing else. The mild salsa was not my jam-odd tasting. The raspberry chimichangas I was told I had to go get are no more. Way overpriced for what you get. We got two combo plates , birria and steak and chicken. Each combo gets beans and rice and a the plate is disappointing filled with almost half lettuce a small amount of pico and a small scoop of guacamole. I love Asada fries I've tried 3 different places and these were not my favorite. It was very bland. No heat whatsoever and not a lot of flavor. The rolled tacos were also just okay. Now the barria tacos I could have eaten 5 plates of just those!! They of course came with the consomé and it was really good! We ordered both pico and salsa. They were tiny maybe 2oz and also not very spicy. If you don't like heat you will be fine. We ordered churros for dessert and they were a little tough and a bit greasy. My kids were not a fan. Found this gem while in Myrtle Beach for a softball tournament. It had great recommendations so we gave it a try. It exceeded our hopes! I ordered the deluxe torta which I ended up sharing with my husband because it was HUGE! Absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and so flavorful. I also ordered the street corn and it was perfection. It was seasoned so well and exactly what I hoped for! My daughter ordered the steak nachos. The portion was also huge and she certainly didn't finish it all but it was delicious. The steak was tender and seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered the California burrito which probably weighed 3 pounds. As I mentioned earlier he had to help me eat my torta so the burrito became our dinner! So delicious! All of this food and the price point was reasonable. When we ordered the manager (maybe owner?) was training the sweetest girl and they were both so friendly and offered advice on what to order. We even tried to visit again but, alas, they are closed on Mondays. If we are ever back in Myrtle we will definitely visit again!! read more

Tu Taco in Garden City, SC, is the best California Style fresh Mexican Food to be found on East Coast. It is not a real restaurant style atmosphere but frankly we are not really looking for that, it isnt fast food either. There are places to sit and a small liquor bar everything you need. What a great find! Grabbing a late lunch and saw this place and skipped the fast food and ate here! Amazing tacos!

Food was delicious but the service was poor af. There was a family that complained about one of the employees taking her sweet time purposely and being disrespectful to his kids while they waited to use the woman's restroom. I can 100% back that because I was next in line behind the kids and I knocked on the door to see if there was someone inside and whoever was in there (short phat Mexican employee of course) instantly knocked back rude and fast. She stayed in the restroom for another five minutes than came out and she looked at me and I looked at her and she had this phat grin in her face knowing she was being rude purposely. When that older man complained the employees all tried to say that the kid was probably over exaggerating and the man said that his kids are well behaved and they would never which I agree because I was waiting in line to use the restroom so I can see who was at fault. read more
