I got pretty lucky when planning my wedding. I set out to plan a wedding that was "us" rather than going down a list of to dos: find a dress, rings, boring typical banquet hall, photographer or anything "mundane." Most of all, I set out to find vendors who loved what they did so that as detailed oriented as I am aka controlling, I let them handle everything and they went above and beyond. Being in Los Angeles, there are a plethora of photographers to choose from. With Thien, he does more than what is necessary. That's what sets my vendors apart and him. My vendors were all top notch, they all adored each other and couldn't stop raving about how professional each one was. Even my venue said it was the best group they worked with and wished each wedding event was like ours. To this day, my DJ continues to rave about my photographer, six months after to all his new bookings. I know those who regret a lot about their weddings. You can skimp out on a lot of things for the wedding, but photos are not one of them. I know couples who regretted not booking Thien in the first place. And to be honest, I think Thien's work ethic does not equate to how much he deserves to get paid. He's with you from start to finish, you get sneak peaks of professional photos within 48 hours and most of the photos by week 6. I know couples who STILL HAVEN'T gotten their photos months later. Last Sunday, my fiancé and I had the pleasure of having Thien shoot a 2 hour engagement session in one of our local favorite spots. He gives thorough instructions and makes us feel comfortable as it was our first time getting photographed professionally. It was quite an experience, we had a blast! When writing these words, I am still living in heaven and all of the good memories from my destination wedding in LA. And Thien gave us all awesome memories. My wedding just past, on Sunday, 21 January 2018. I don't even know how I found Thien after a long tiring looking for a photographer who is willing to work with my budget. Thien from TTT Photography is the absolute best when it comes to wedding photography. Just from our first consultation meeting, Thien's passion and knowledge for wedding photography was evident. Thien shared his story of having terrible wedding photos himself as his drive to get into wedding photography. At the end of the event when you have spent your money/time/emotions and everyone goes home, all you have left are the photos (maybe videos if you also hire a videographer). I have had friends who had terrible wedding photographers and had to rely of the guest to send in photos from their iphone/android/canon cameras. Do not let this be you. Let's be honest on 2 things: 1) Wedding photographers constantly book weddings so while it may be your first/only wedding, you need to find a photographer who is excited about your wedding. 2) Average photographers rely on lighting, amazing photographers adjust to their environment and make something amazing (Thien will have happy to share stories). This is important because we can not control the weather during our engagement session or wedding. Like many couples planning a wedding, we meet with A LOT of vendors and you can tell the difference between those who are genuinely interested in your event and their job and those who "play along". Thien came with excitement for our wedding, the knowledge as a "seasoned" wedding photographer with a bunch of locations and the wisdom of a married man himself. Where do I even start? If I could give TTT Photography 10+ stars, I totally would. Thien helped capture my once in a lifetime fairytale wedding to perfection. I've been following Thien's work for a while through Facebook since the beginning of 2015. What caught my attention is that his pictures looked very similar to Lin and Jirsa (but for a fraction of the cost). His pictures were glamorous and bold, but they could also be soft and romantic. Some of my favorites included the beach pictures with the waves and ocean mist surrounding the couple making it look so magical and enchanting. However, what sealed the deal were the pictures of the couple in the desert, with the future bride in the red dress (when you hire him, ask him about that story). It was just the couple and the desert as his backdrop and he was able to capture the color of the skies in pink, red, and orange hues-everything was just absolutely stunning. I knew then that if I were to get married, Thien was the photographer I wanted. Come 2016, my boyfriend finally popped the question. Guess who was the first vendor I booked once I figured out my wedding date? Thien. I was beyond ecstatic that he was available. He was very open and honest about his work, and communicated everything clearly to me. He responded promptly through phone/text/email, and made himself available to me for all my questions or concerns. He asked me what my vision and goals for my wedding were, what type of style/look I was going for, and recommended places for my engagement shoots based on my answers. I think what I loved most about working with him is that photography is not his full-time job, but his passion. I knew he would put his heart and soul to perfect his pictures. I could tell when he walked me through steps and timelines for my wedding, and explained where he would be and what angles he needed from me for the perfect shot. I had so much fun working with him on my wedding day. It wasn't just all business, but there were so much laughter and an easiness I wasn't expecting. And oh boy did Thien deliver on all his pictures. They turned out so beautiful. After spending 12+ hours with me on my wedding day, he went home and edited several to send me as "sneak peaks". These sneak peaks were some of the highlights of my honeymoon trip because my husband and I would look forward to the present he sent to us during the week after our wedding. Thien was able to finish and edit all our wedding photos one month after our wedding. 20+ hours worth of photos (I had a two day wedding) in one month! That alone deserves applause. The pricing for Thien's work is fair. For the quality and expertise that you get, I honestly think it's a steal for his packages. If you're on the fence about him, talk to him and you'll understand why he's the perfect choice for you as your wedding or anything photographer. I should have written this long ago, right after our photoshoot in April but let me just begin to say this before commenting on his work for our pre-wedding photoshoot, Thien is one of the most genuinely nice people I have met. I met him when he worked at our friends' wedding last year. Then during our 2-day trip, we spent more time talking about many topics and I could tell what an amazing person, son, husband, father he is. Now about the photoshoot, you can tell how much he loves photography (probably more than his pharmacist job ) by the look from his eyes. The level of professionalism and work ethic he put into our shoot was out of this world. He literally slept for 5 hours after shooting in Vegas until 2am and offered to drive us back from the Grand Canyon to Vegas when I crashed at the end our shoot the second day. Oh did I mention we walked for more than an hour on crazy uneven dirt roads finding our correct shooting spot at the canyon because of my negligence and he had to walk with all the heavy gears? Sorry anh Thien. All in all, we could not be happier with the results. I know he would have done more if we didn't get lost and arrived early at the canyon, but anh Thien, please rest assured you did more than enough for us. I contacted Thien about doing an engagement shoot and from the beginning he was so pleasant to communicate with. He assisted in brainstorming for our session and came up with great ideas. One of our locations (a bridge) was under construction and we had not expected that but Thien, being a true photographer, located a bed of beautiful yellow flowers near the bridge and made magic happen. He also brought a few props that helped to make us more comfortable. Our other location was the beach...the session was almost over and the sun still had not gone down but Thien suggested that we should wait to get pictures with the sunset. The pictures came out even more beautiful! Thien is a wonderful photographer who has a great eye and shows patience in achieving the perfect picture.
