I was gifted a voucher and I really wanted to enjoy my experience at TT Head Spa, but unfortunately, it wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped. My esthetician was very nice and pleasant, and I enjoyed seeing the before/after images of my scalp but the pressure she used on my scalp during the treatment was a bit too rough for me. I mentioned I would prefer lighter pressure, and she did adjust for a short time, but eventually went back to using very firm pressure. Because of that, I found myself tensing up rather than being able to relax and enjoy the treatment. The water used on my scalp was also shockingly cold. I mentioned this as well, hoping it could be made warmer, but unfortunately it remained pretty cold throughout the service. Between the strong pressure and cold water, I found myself cringing quite a bit during what I had hoped would be a soothing experience. One small detail: I noticed from other reviews that several guests were served rose tea, which sounded like a lovely touch. I was only offered water, which I appreciated on a warm day, but I would have loved the option of the rose tea as well. There did seem to be a bit of a language barrier, which may have contributed to some of the miscommunication. I do like bleaching my hair and she showed me the result of continuous bleaching. We gave a tip, but it is funny when somebody looks at you or is expressionless during thos moment. Definitely not relaxed My person got some of the spicy warming mask on my eyelashes and I was scared it would burn. The super loud and modern hair blower in my ear multiple times resulted in me telling her to stop putting it near my ear. I would recommend this place. I had Annie and she was great. I went to their location in Arcadia when head spas first came out. It's good. At the end, they blow dry your hair too. If it's your first time make sure you tell them that so you get a first time customer discount. One thing I would like to recommend is to make a way to block the noise coming from the front of the spa, maybe a door or somwthing. It's conveniently close to my house, though a bit tucked away, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a woman who was incredibly kind, genuine, and welcoming something that honestly feels rare to find these days. Even without an appointment, she was able to get me in within about 30 minutes for a wash, cut, and style, which is almost unheard of with how most salons operate now. I'll admit, I came in not feeling very confident about my hair. I've had some rough experiences in the past, and my hair had been through a lot. I just knew the ends needed to go, but I didn't have much direction beyond that. The stylist (I wish I remembered her name) completely changed that for me. She was honest, but never pushy, she really listened. Instead of overcutting like some places do, she respected what I wanted while still guiding me on what my hair needed. I trusted her to remove the damaged ends and add some body to my very fine, straight hair and she did exactly that. I left feeling genuinely happy with my hair, which hasn't happened in a long time. The salon itself was also very clean and well-kept, and even though she mentioned missing some calls earlier, it was clear she truly values the clients who walk through the door and gives them her full attention. Overall, this was such a positive experience. It didn't cost an arm and a leg, I felt heard, and I left feeling confident again. I came in without an appointment and they accepted my walk in! It was my fault on not making an appointment and I got lucky someone was free. The lobby was so cute and they had beverages and snacks on the side (self serve). I got the standard scalp service that was listed on Groupon. You first start off with a scalp analysis, then your attendant goes into detail of what type of products you need depending on what your scalp needs. They use Korean and Japanese products. Then you're brought into a room where the magic begins. There's a water light on the ceiling. The products used smelled so good. That whole scalp experience was so relaxing, especially when the water ring was on! Then your scalp was reanalyzed and you'll see the difference. After that experience, my attendant dried and styled my hair! She suggested that curling my hair would look nice so I trusted her and she definitely pulled through with that Dyson. She offered some insight on what products I should buy (I asked her about the products) and she wasn't trying to scam me or upsell in any way. I was really disappointed with my experience here. The staff arrived about 10 minutes late and were not welcoming or friendly. The entire appointment felt very rough and rushed instead of relaxing, which is the whole reason I booked a head spa in the first place. My scalp honestly felt sore afterward, and during the blow dry the lady was very rough almost smacking the brush to my head even after telling me i have a send scalp. She was even pulling out hair that appeared to still be stuck from another client. It felt very unhygienic and uncomfortable. This was my first and last time at any head spa. The ladies were nice, however I'm left feeling really upset and sore after the service I received. The massage and facial felt great, but holy frick do not come here if you have long hair, a sensitive scalp, bleached hair, if your hair gets tangled easily, dry hair, you're attached to your hair, etc. Throughout the entire time my scalp was being washed the lady performing my service scrubbed me so hard it hurt. She shampooed both my scalp and the rest of my hair length into one big foamy pile and surprise...my hair was tangled as a result! I could quite literally feel my hair ripping from my scalp as she shampooed me. God I wish it ended there but when she was brushing my hair through at the shampoo bowl she combed from the top down, which any sane person/hair professional would know that you should always brush hair from the bottom up to prevent it from ripping and causing breakage. I asked her multiple times to brush it out from bottom to top because I knew my hair would rip out if it was done the other way and she did momentarily, but continued to yank the absolute hell out of it and I had to continuously ask her to brush it from the bottom to the top. This continued into the blow drying process as well, where my hair didn't even get fully blow dried, and I quite literally left crying and feeling worse than when I came in. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience at all and I feel incredibly stressed after the fact. Part of my head hurts now along with my hair looking like I have a botched haircut as a result of this service. I believe that everyone has the capability to grow professionally and I really hope whoever did my service does. I feel like I wasted my money here in the hopes of having a relaxing experience and this has tainted my view on head spas altogether. As someone who used to be a receptionist/customer experience representative at a hair salon for quite some time, this place seriously needs to train their employees better and hire people who will actually listen to how their clientele is feeling. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I am sharing this feedback to help the management improve their customer experience. I booked a group session with a friend for her birthday, expecting a relaxing spa environment. Unfortunately, our experience was far from peaceful. Throughout the service, we could hear kids running around outside the rooms where we're supposed to be relaxing. While the technician who treated me was kind and took her time, the lady who served my friend rushed through the entire process. At one point, this technician even pushed me from behind to move me toward the scalp examination chair, which felt aggressive and unprofessional. The staff also spoke in such low whispers that we could barely understand the explanation of our scalp conditions. Unlike my experience, my friend was not shown any of the products being used. No refreshments or tea were offered either.To make matters worse, I was double-charged an extra $230 at check-out. When I questioned the clueless employee, she mumbled and then had the nerve to question the tip amount. I had to call the spa later to get my money refunded after the double charge. Had I not checked, they would have kept the overcharge. I tried to convince myself it wasn't that bad, but for the price, the service quality was unacceptable. I hope TT Head Spa uses this feedback to correct these issues. Maybe in the future I can return and have a good experience. read more
