I immediately fell in love with their Colorful Fruits Tea, which is tea with a bunch of different fruits in it such as oranges, blueberries, limes, and apples. This is now my go-to drink and this time around I decided to throw in some passion fruit boba. Being home-bound, I got it delivered and it arrived ahead of time. It took me far too long to try this amazing tea shop. My son is visiting and I knew he would say yes to trying it. I recently discovered I like milk tea and I know I like boba. Not all teas are created equal for sure. I really loved the boba texture here. You order via a kiosk and there were so many options! I went with 1/2 sweet on my lychee milk green tea, Robert went 1/2 sweet on his mango green tea freeze (I think- it was slightly frozen) with mango boba. We tried each others and now I want to try more. And then- the very next day I saw they are building one out at Neptune Beach! A closer location to me!!! Heck yeah~ this could be dangerous. I want to try almost all the fruit teas- I think I will stick with 1/2 sweet- although the mango was sweeter in nature than my lychee. I'm familiar with Tsaocaa's branch in Chicago, so when I saw there was one in Florida I had to try!! The shop was very busy on a Thursday afternoon but the staff were very kind. There was a bit of misunderstanding about my drink but the staff fixed it and made sure my boba came out as ordered :) I do wish that they were more generous with the cheese foam - it was the least amount of cheese foam I've ever received on a boba before. That being said, the tapioca itself was cooked and sweetened to perfection. It was the best boba pearls I've had in a while, so I guess it cancels out! read more

I had always passed Tsaocaa for other Boba Tea locations that I liked more or were closer, however upon discovery that they served Ramen and Fried Chicken along with it, that piqued my party's interest and we decided to check it out. Tsaocaa has a wide variety of drinks and toppings, a lot of them I hope to try in my future visits. My party and I ordered their "Peach Oolong Milk Tea" with extra tapioca pearls (here they call "crystal pearls") and their "Grapefruit & Peach Green Tea with Jelly" with extra tapioca pearls and nata jelly. We got both drinks large with less ice and half sweet, however some drinks (Like the grapefruit one we ordered) only come in one size. (Solid piece of advice, order Boba Tea at half sweet. Lots of places go over the top on the sugar.) We liked both drinks and hope to try others that caught our eye! The next two items we got to share were the Takoyaki Octopus Balls and the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. Now, if you're looking for a small bite to go with your sweet drink, I highly recommend both of these. They came out shortly after we got our drinks warm with a nice aroma. Both were hot and felt good to eat. The Takoyaki had a nice, thin crisp on the outside with pillowy, warm, and savory octopus on the inside that paired nicely with our cold drinks. The Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken was a pleasure aswell. The flavor was nice and simple, along with it being served hot. Now let's talk about the ramen. If you're looking for top quality ramen, this may not your place. My party ordered the Tonkotsu and Shouyu ramen. The Tonkotsu broth was pretty bland, and the Shouyu broth was salty. I had the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, with less sweetness, and the Rose Oolong Tea with Pear. Both with boba, or amber bubble as they call it. I think because I opted for less sweet than is probably the recommend I didn't get the full Brown Sugar Milk Tea experience. It tasted like a milk tea to me, but still tasty. The boba was the right, chewy consistency. The Rose Oolong tea was quiet the drinking experience. It actually had a tea bag and fruit in the drink, which I wasn't used to. It was a good tea as well, just not my cup of tea! I like that you can order ahead via the Yelp app. Their shop seems cute based off of the pics, but that's an experience I'll have to save for the future. I asked about a customer rewards card. They informed me that is for huge/large orders. I've never heard of that kind of rewards card before, but there's always a first. Unless, I understood him wrong. On to the teas and drinks, they're wonderful. I always buy two when I come here. I'll have one right away and have the other one for later. Unpopular opinion, but I did not love Tsaocaa at all. First impression is that the shop is super cute inside. I was surprised to see how busy it was at about 3 pm on a weekday! The parking lot was pretty full too, so this must be a popular spot. I got in line and there were about 3 people in front of me. The menu was only printed out on the counter, so there wasn't a way to look at a menu while waiting in line. The girl working the front was not friendly and answered the phone before I ordered. She took an order on the phone (very slowly) for another 5 minutes. I placed my order and wasn't instructed for where to stand or how to pick it up. I waited about 15 minutes and never heard my number or order called. The 2 people making the drinks looked miserable. I went up and asked how much longer it would be and she realized it was just sitting on the counter that whole time. My brown sugar milk tea boba was $7 and was very boring in my opinion. I love boba and there are way better places in Jacksonville. The boba were harder and not super chewy like I'm used to. The flavor was plain. I probably will not go back. read more

Im in trouble this place is too close to home. I definitely will be making my way through this menu and they also just added a few food items that I will need to test out as well. Im a sucker for cheese mousse so the last two orders I have added to my order. Having that touch of savory to the sweetness of the tea is great. My first drink was the Purple Potato (ube) milk tea with boba and cheese mousse. I loved the flavor and the chunks of real potato. I know it sounds odd but trust it is tasty. Next visit I'll go for the taro which I'm told also is served with fresh bits of taro root. My second drink was the King of Milk tea. First of all, I was in love with the unique and girly interior decor. Secondly, the drinks had the quality of what true flavored milk teas should taste like. My whole group ordered the same drink, since it seems to be one of the more popular ones here. The purple potato milk tea. I truly enjoyed the authenticity and not overly sweet flavor combines with real fruit infused chunks mixed in with the milk. I could also taste the bitterness from the tea but in a good way because it's so fresh. I could certainly tell it was freshly brewed and not not the tea bags. I'm so glad Jax finally has a place where I can go to enjoy delicious milk teas with friends and family. I would recommend this place. Ok, I definitely overdid it during my first visit here. Capitalizing on the grand opening buy one get one deal, I went with a friend to try out their menu. When we arrived, my friend suggested that instead of using the BOGO deal together, we should each get two drinks and well, we did. I tried the mango green tea with milk foam and the brown sugar milk tea with Oreo and milk foam. The owner, who rang us up mentioned that these are her two favorite drinks on the menu. The prices here are quite reasonable and with the check-in grand opening special you can't beat getting two drinks for a little more than $5. I wish that all of the teas had a medium size option, however. After a 25 minute wait in line and about 10 minutes for our drinks to be made, we were ready to begin sipping. I started with the mango tea, which had a slushy texture with a little salty cheese foam on top. This was a solid drink but admittedly not the most interesting. Now, the brown sugar milk tea had a number of things going on, from various textures to flavors. Initially I only got the black tea flavor but after mixing it up some, it tasted like a little burnt caramel drink. It was good but it wasn't as sweet as I was expecting and the Oreo crumbs got lost in the milk. I enjoyed the light, chewy, and slightly sweet amber boba. This was a good introduction to Tsaocaa and against my better judgement I finished both drinks in one sitting. I look forward to returning to try the fruit teas which looked very refreshing and much lighter than the drinks that I tried. read more

Tsaocca (pronounced "Tao-Tah") is the newest Boba shop to open up around the Beach Blvd area; an area infamous for Boba shops. It's a totally unique shop, with fancy décors and... ahem...much feminine colors and seats. To note, Tsaocca is still currently in their Soft Opening phase (official Grand Opening is Thursday, August 1st). All ingredients served here are natural; organic milk also used. The menu and ordering concept is pretty simple. We tried the following: Brown Sugar Milk Tea (3/5): I've had, tried many of these flavors and something was just off, regardless it would have been sweeten. Taro Milk Green Tea (2/5): This drink was made natural ingredients. An actual Taro root was used to make this drink. So if you are expecting and are used to the actual Taro powder, then this is not the drink for you. Passionfruit & Lime Green Tea (5/5) Colorful Fruit Green Tea (5/5) Verdict: Seems like the fruit drinks are the way to go here, as they were tasty and refreshing. The others, may be an acquired taste for some, but then again, I have yet to try all the flavors and drinks. Additionally, make sure you confirm the Sugar (sweetness) Level upon ordering. If you don't, your drink may come off bland or unsweetened to your liking. Other than that, come by and pay this new place a visit. The menu is a bit overwhelming when you first look at it, but it's split up into different sections. We tried two from the milk foam slushee menu! You can substitute the crystal pearls with different bobas, and they do have a TON of toppings. The slushee itself started to come in blended after a little bit. We tried the following: Taro Milk Green Tea with Bubble (boba) - I didn't like it. Apparently they use only natural ingredients, so I sipped an actual bits of taro that went straight to my throat ! That was not a pleasant experience and it was not good at all. This drink is not for me. Good thing they were kind enough to replace it. King of Oolong Tea with Cream Cheese Milk Foam- Good! The Foam is the main reason it tastes great! Brown Sugar Black Tea w/ Oreo & Milk Foam - our favorite! Make sure to shake first so the Milk Foam will blend with the actual tea. My only issue was that we asked to substitute the boba with Nata Jelly but we were charged for it! I thought it was just a misunderstanding so the 2nd time we came here I specifically asked if they charged for substitutes and she said Yes! My family loves Bona tea, so this was a must try. There are a lot of choices, so get out of your comfort zone and try something unique. That is what makes trying new locations fun. People were friendly and patient, but the flavors to me were slightly off my flavor palate. I prefer fresh fruits and teas, and this leaned more toward items that are purchased elsewhere.
