After searching 30 minutes for the SKU number to match my PO, finally got some help from a Menards warehouseman forklift operator. 15 minutes more searching resulted in out of stock explanation. Back through the exit gatekeeper, signing electronic receipt that I received zero product and Customer Service for refund. Now, they want me to pay a 'restocking fee' of 25%! The third service representative was a manager who waived the fee. 1.5 hours wasted; left with no product, only frustration. So long to Menards for building materials!

In April of 2017 I needed a stairclimbing dolly to move some extremely heavy pieces of furniture from my basement. Dustin quoted me a price for a full day rate, then allowed me to rent the item for a shorter period to decrease the rate. On the day prior to the reserved day, he called midafternoon and advised that the dolly at his store was broken and suggested another location in Ypsilanti. He offered, for my trouble, to decrease the rate an additional $10. On the day of the reservation, I showed up to the Ypsilanti location and discovered that the battery on the dolly was not charged. I was beyond frustrated, and while on the phone with Dustin at the Novi location, Derrick the Ypsilanti location Manager offered the rental free of charge if I wouldn't mind charging it. Simultaneously, Dustin was problem solving and then offered the same free rental while I was speaking to Derrick and noted that I could keep it as long as I wanted. Just unbelievable customer service and honest caring employees. When I returned the dolly to the Novi location, check out was quick, the employee's who received the rental back friendly and helpful. Dustin apologized several times and was true to his word, the rental was free. I offered to pay something, but he wouldn't take it. It has always been my experience, that a companies value is determined by how they treat the customer and the level of customer service they provide. I assure you, customer service is number one at Sunbelt and the employees working there are top tier. Every employee I encountered was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to do business with. Even if you can get it cheaper somewhere else, I would urge you, if considering a company to rent from, please use Sunbelt Rental. In me, they will have a dedicated customer for life. He also worked with my wife, who wanted to add a feature as a surprise to me, locating what she wanted, changing the plans as necessary to install it, etc., all without disclosing her surprise to me.
