Asked an employee who was wasn't occupied to explain that was my question. VERY rude woman pointed to a sign about appointment only, and next appointment was end of March. Tried to explain I wanted to buy an item from their stock. Rude woman again said couldn't do it but had to schedule. Eight weeks away. Ok then, took my stock # to Lowe's, who were very friendly, and bought my two Koehler sinks there at 40% lower price. I'm tired that crappy, rude customer service gets blamed on staffing COVID issues. Done spending my money here.

Each time they came through for us with great suggestions and insight for the remodel process. You have to make an appointment but once you're there they will spend as much time as you need. We were with Sarah for almost 2 hours today for the bathroom. Their showroom is great so you can compare the various brands. The consultant can put your selections into the build.com website and then you can go home and make your final decisions. Or you can let them place the order. I gave 4 stars because they only have two consultants at the Ann Arbor location so it's a week or more for an appointment. Aside from that I highly recommend Ferguson.

That meant the window frames had to fall exactly where they had before-- and they did it!

DreamMaker originally did a nice job in gutting out my old bathroom in my bedroom and remodeling it…read morecompletely. Problems started when I had a leak at the base of my shower on the side with the shower arm and controls. The leak went into the basement and through the wall which caused massive damage to my brand new closet system in my walk in closet and the floor in there on the other side of the wall from the shower. I was left with over $5,000 in damages. I couldn't file an insurance claim really. I have renters that share my home with me and I had to evict a renter for severe damage to my basement and the basement bedroom he was living in. Due to the amount of damage we had to split it into 4 claims. So they told me if I filed another claim, I wouldn't be able to file anymore for 7 years. DreamMaker did agree to fix the problems but they told me it would take a few months because there was a back log on acquiring materials. They came out and caulked the area where the leak was because I had company coming and I needed the shower operational. It was my understanding that the temporary fix was good until they were able to repair it permanently. I was fine with that. A few months went by and there was no follow up from them at all. I sent an e-mail and 3 days went by so I contacted a lawyer to send them my intent to go to court. When I called for their fax number and the employee at DreamMaker realized what I was doing, they suddenly became very responsive. However, I had another representative call and say to me, we did everything we said we were going to do on the appropriate time schedule. You weren't supposed to be using the shower anyway. I felt like they were victim blaming and shaming me. If they somehow thought that would win my business again, then I don't know what the hell they were thinking. So the bathroom originally looked nice, but they're working on it right now and they tore out the shower and the tile floor they just put in. I know mistakes happen, but given the leak, the victim blaming and shaming, the lack of follow up, and their lack of concern for how much I pad out in damages, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

We have recommended this company to at least 8 people/households, and all have been extremely satisfied with the service and results, and have in turn recommended them to others. Incredibly professional and reliable, Gordon Hamilton will give you a realistic estimate--won't low ball you and surprise you later, or give you a ridiculously inflated one either. He's also a total pleasure to work with--incredibly nice guy and very helpful and informative. His crews are the nicest people to have working in your home. Hamilton Building put a second floor addition on our home, a back room off the kitchen, and recently remodeled our entire kitchen, and got it done in the time they estimated. All the work is first rate. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ken even had other subcontractors come out to ensure that we had the best estimate for the work. They kept us in the loop, cleaned up at the end of the day, and always demonstrated a high level of professionalism (i.e., early/on time, respectful, reliable, etc.), which made them stand out compared to all the other contractors we contacted. The only downside was the cost relative to other contractors. However, as newbie homeowners we've learned that the contractor fees tend to be higher in Ann Arbor. Although, we feel that the fee was well worth it in the end because of their stellar work. The bathroom previously was a room to avoid, and a space that we didn't use. They truly transformed our space. Looking forward to ADB helping us with our next project!!

It seemed like a nice place with some good options for cabinets and counters. Del was the only one there and helped answer a few questions for us, informing us that he was the "counter guy" and that Tim was not in that day to do our cabinet estimate. That was fine, Del took our information and kitchen details to leave for Tim to contact us with a cabinet estimate. Del seemed knowledgeable about counters and that he'd do a good job with our counter estimate once Tim could get our cabinets done. 5 days later after calling once and emailing Tim, we hadn't heard anything back. We just bought the house and the 3-4 week lead time for ordering cabinets is part of the critical path of our remodel. It has been over 2 weeks now and we haven't been contacted once. We clearly were either not a priority for them or they lost/ignored our request for an estimate. They get two stars because they seem like their product is good and other reviewers have claimed that they do good work. We wouldn't know since they wouldn't even get to the point of giving us an estimate for our business. Make sure to call ahead to ensure that Tim or Del is in before driving over there, don't rely on them to contact you.

Great job of pricing and installation; they worked patiently with every quirk we threw at them…read more They even arranged for a plumber, which too often is the customer's responsibility. The price seemed to not be out of line with the big box stores but the process at those stores was pretty convoluted while Dexter Cabinet put it into one nice package (although we decided to purchase a different faucet than the several good ones they offered in their package). After a couple go-rounds at Lowe's, we threw up our hands and went with the more "comfortable" (and LOCAL) Dexter Cabinet option. Glad we did. I would however recommend that potential customers take some responsibility for keeping the communication going. Contact them if you don't hear back when you expect to. That worked really well for us. This seems to be the way to work with most contractors, we've found.
