Anyone planning a major and/or important event, no matter how big or small, would do well to consider bringing into the process the expertise of Lindsey, and her company, Trunks & Tales! From our first conversation and her suggested meeting place, we already had a warm and approachable feeling from Lindsey, and as we sat and talked, it was very clear that she is passionate about the Couple she's working with having the day they envision and deserve. I loved the peace of mind, knowing that if any proverbial poop hit the fan, someone with a ton of experience and connections would be the one at the helm during "Crunch Time", when the Bride has literally ZERO time left for any more details to go awry. (And just like everyone tells you; no matter how diligently you research and plan, SOMEthing WILL go awry!) This is also why I would urge anyone hiring Lindsey to go with her higher tiers, IF you can. I think if I'd had even more guidance and a more involved hand in the further-out months leading up to the Wedding, there wouldn't have been such a "Crunch Time" feeling for me the closer it got. But that's totally on me, and our budget, and what we felt comfortable spending. And honestly, it was still SO much help, and rest assured; there was still ample communication throughout the time from when we first booked with her, on up to and through that two full months before the Wedding. Even only really having Lindsey FULLY on-board steering our Wedding Ship for those last two months, there were still numerous times she saved our big day. My biggest concern besides the Pandemic-possibilities of rescheduling everything, was having Coordination for the Day Of. But those extra two months were a sanity-saver, for sure!! She gave us some great tips, ideas, and guidance even before then, but for instance, if I'd been able to have her involved further out, say, in the choosing of the Vendors, our biggest snafu might've been avoided - I had researched Videographers quite extensively, and had found a great deal with a highly reviewed top Vendor on The Knot, and booked with them. Exactly a month before our Wedding Day, we got the news that they had filed for bankruptcy, and did not plan on honoring the contracts still in play. They did plan to issue refunds, but slowly, and with no specific dates! We couldn't afford another duplicate Videographer bill until our refund came through, and worse than that, even if we could, who on Earth, (at least of any good talent and reputation!) would possibly be available for a Saturday Wedding a month away?! While I went to work with my bank to get an immediate refund through back channels, Lindsey got right to work with her Magic Wedding Wand, and pulled a miracle out of thin air, calling on her contacts in the industry, and pairing us with a fantastic Videographer at the same price point! She helped set up our meetings, and kept checking in diligently until she knew we had booked and everything was alright. From getting supportively involved in miscommunications between myself and a Vendor at one point, to offering suggestions when I wasn't sure about the best way to maybe handle speeches, or some of the DIY aspects we wanted to put together, there were many smaller details and bigger instances, just like these, in which I honestly don't know how we could've pulled it all off without her! Again, whichever tier you can afford, I say "Go for it!" You won't regret it! IF you CAN go for a fuller package, do yourself the favor and spring for it, but if like us, you're on a bit more of a tighter budget, and can only afford the "later in the process full-on support", oh my gosh, still do that! Lol! It's worth it, and Lindsey is an awesome, miracle-working Wedding Rock Star! Our Wedding Day went by in such a flash, if we'd had the weight of hosting it and keeping things on time and on track, we would barely have been able to enjoy some of the most important aspects, but my Husband and I danced SO much, actually got to eat, and were able to focus almost entirely on each other.... which is exactly what you want on your Wedding Day! Lindsey is a blessing to all brides on earth. My husband and I elected to go with a bare bones venue that had never hosted a wedding before. We had 16 dedicated and talented vendors involved to pull off our dream wedding. Lindsey being one of the critical 16! Lindsey was responsive, creative, kind, generous, artistic, honest, attentive, hardworking and to top it off her services are reasonably priced too especially for her quality of work! We considered 3+ vintage rental companies before deciding to go with Lindsey (who was referred to me by my florist) and i am SO GLAD i did. I can't wait to receive our professional photos, but since we opted to go with fine art film photography, the processing time will take a bit longer than regular digital photography. When receive our pictures I plan to update my review with some of the GORGEOUS seating vignettes, bar carts, tablescapes she dreamed up and executed for us. I can't say enough about our fantastic experience working with her. She was very accommodating to our schedules. She was SO much fun to work with and continually would send us updates on new exciting pieces that she felt might fit well with our wedding. Opening up each of her emails and text messages were like little presents waiting in my inbox! Lindsey was a consummate advocate for us when we got married at a small inn up north. I usually don't write to complain but because i have not been able to resolve this issue with the business directly, I feel cheated and hurt . I need to stop this from happening to others. The reason my mother's memorial was ruined is simple and happened from negligence and not following up. When you hire someone to do those things for you so you can have help you need to be confident that it will go through as requested. Linsey made sure to get all payments first then not do what was promised . Instead of taking responsibility for the mistakes that were made she decided to blame the vendors and then just ignore that it happened and stop responding and resolving the issue. I was taken advantage of. This is what my experience with linsey and her services. Paying thousands of dollars and going through the the unprofessional experience that I had to deal with is the last thing you want when you are going through stressful times and hire someone to take on some of the responsibilities to help you. Currently unresolved and going through small courts claim to resolve because the owner has decided to ignore the issue and not resolve it.
