Due to an unfortunate circumstance, I hired Simcha Sisters with only a couple of months to execute a big Bar Mitzvah. They jumped on it immediately and delivered on my vision without feeling stressed. Day of, I didn't worry about a thing because I know they were on top of everything. Do yourself a huge favor and hire Simcha Sisters to help you! I started planning my son's Bar Mitzvah on my own, and hired most of my vendors by the time I realized that I was in over my head in planning a Bar Mitzvah for 150+ guests, including many out of towners. Tanya and Kirtina came to my rescue. They immediately set me up with a budget spreadsheet, and a comprehensive checklist of everything I needed to do in the final stages of planning and execution - things I would have never thought of. They communicated with my vendors, helped me make many decisions big and small, and overall just made my experience as a host 10x better than it would have been without their help. Thanks to them, my party was beautiful, flawlessly executed, and a raging success. I highly recommend Simcha Sisters! 5 Stars. read more

My youngest daughter became bat mitzvah a few weeks ago and after the great experience I had before working with Simcha Sisters, we quickly hired them again. This mitzvah had a lot of set-up and moving parts and Tanya and Jessica were on top of all of them so I could just kick back and enjoy the day. It is so nice to be able to plan something detailed and know that it will be executed just the way you envisioned. They were a pleasure to work with, again! Highly recommend! read more

A Home Run for Our Son's Bar Mitzvah and our Daughter's Bat Mitzvah! Simcha Sister's is Simply the Best! Yes, they were so good for our first child's party that we used the company again. From the get-go, our planner was a pleasure to work with. She understood the vibe we were going for: A unique California type party that was indoors and outdoors. She handled the complex logistics of booking and coordinating with numerous vendors to make our vision a reality. What truly set the Simcha Sisters apart was their calm professionalism, incredible attention to detail, and positive attitude. Tanya and her team took the stress out of the entire process. She managed all the vendor communications and kept us on track with clear checklists and regular updates. The day of the Bat and Bar Mitzvah (three years apart) was flawless. My wife and I were able to focus entirely on our celebrated children, our family, and our guests, rather than worrying about timelines or setup. Many of our guests and extended family told us the parties were the best ones they have ever experienced. If you are planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or any sizable event, do yourself a favor and hire The Simcha Sisters. Their professionalism, creativity, and commitment to making your event special are unmatched. They allowed us to be fully present for our daughter and son's milestone moment. Tanya is absolutely incredible! A wonderful resource and guide in planning our son's Bar Mitzvah! I was already pretty far along in the process when I finally called Tanya (the best decision ever!) and she helped me in all the right ways to close the loop in many areas where I had already started the process. Tanya is respected by vendors and they all appreciate working with her and/or her clients. Tanya even helped me secure an outstanding videographer when we realized our streaming approach was not going to give us the results we wanted. Everyone should work with Simcha Sisters for their events! They bring it all together in the BEST of ways! Thank you to Tanya - whom I began to refer to as "my" Simcha Sister! read more

I cannot praise Shana and Tanya enough for their hard work, creativity and dedication. I would not have been able to pull off my son's celebration without them. They are experienced, well organized and a pleasure to work with. It was especially nice that they were familiar with so many different vendors. When our venue canceled on us 90 days prior to the big event, Shana sprung into action and helped me locate the perfect replacement. I would not hesitate to work with them again. read more

Shana answered the phone and instantly stepped up! She grabbed the ball and ran with it. Im updating this review. A week ago I received a email stating that I owed over 400 more dollars. Thats over 700 dollars I will have paid this company for 3hrs worth of work. VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WAS PROVIDED. read more

Simcha Sisters were the event planners for our recent wedding at Holman Ranch in Monterrey, California. We worked with Shana from the beginning to plan our wedding. It's the most important party that everyone is looking to plan for in there lifetime. We lucked out having Simcha Sisters support us. We live in Portland, Shana operates out of the Bay area, so Shana was coordinating our wedding via phone and email. She was in constant communication and was very quick to get back to us with answers. Shana listened carefully to what our desires were and helped bring them to fruition. Looking back, being a wedding planner has to be a challenging job. There are so many details to consider. Shana was able to point items of concern out before we had even considered them. Choosing an event planner is one the best ways to minimalize planning stress. Our wedding was unbelievable. Shana helped us find the best venue, caterer, DJ, deserts, decorations and ensured everything ran seamless. I'd highly recommend their services to anyone planning a wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire an event coordinator. They will allow you to enjoy your wedding and not have to worry about any details. This is the best wedding day investment you could possibly make. Simcha Sisters , especially Shana, thanks so much for helping us make our dreams come true. read more

I recently worked with Shana of the Simcha Sisters at a wedding at Holman Ranch. Shana was our hired wedding planner, and I couldn't be happier. This situation was stressful, and the only thing that made it unstressful was Shana. She was on top of everything, constantly checking in, and always making sure the ball was moving. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed working with her every minute. She kept a positive, professional attitude the entire time and was constantly a step ahead. Oh, and did I mention, all of her services were donated for a good cause? That is right, she went above and beyond and worked her booty off every single day for a great cause. It was a pleasure working with the Simcha Sisters, Shana, Tanya, and Jeff. Planning a Bat Mitzvah is like planning a wedding for a 13 year old who has no concept of complexity or expense. The Simcha Sisters struck the right balance of understanding the needs of my daughter, to be sure she had the party she wanted, and the needs of the parents to control expenses. They also did a great job flexing with my need for control and communication with their expertise on delivering a memorable day. For some things I would book the vendors directly and in other cases they would book them on our behalf. For the day of, they seamlessly coordinated all the various vendors to make a spectacular event. We couldn't have done it without them. Thank you read more

I work with MANY event planners in the past 10 years of my event planning and execution career, and surprisingly, finding an effective Event Planner who caters to a client's needs and is mindful to the vendors they are collaborating with is so hard to find. This is the only event planning business that I can whole heartedly give my endorsement to delivering the services as promised and for consistently exemplifying customer service excellence. Shana and Tanya are super easy to get along with and their desire to make their customers happy and stress free in the planning process. This is evident in the way they follow up with all parties involved (venue, vendors), their patience to take as much time as needed to put the client at ease, their attention to detail and execution, and their ability to adapt to and guide their clients' vision to reality through the planning process. I am proud to endorse the Simcha Sisters as a positive extension to my reputation. read more

I planned my twins' b'nai mitzvah myself (trying to save money). A month before the event I realized I was in deep trouble because there was no way I could pull off the event during that day myself and still enjoy the moment. I called Shana and Tanya and it was a miracle they had the date open on such short notice. Our event was a few days ago and it was so awesome. They handled all the things I wasn't able to do (pick up and delivery of food, adding my decorations, managing small details like signs for guests, etc.) and did so beyond my expectations. I got to be a guest and enjoy the special time with my family and friends. They are consummate professionals, extremely communicative, and offered great advice and guidance on things I really had no clue about. I would recommend them wholeheartedly for any event. read more

Shana and Tanya truly helped our sons' b'nai mitzvah be as perfect a party as we could have hoped for. They'll take on as little or as much as you want, and also of highest value deal with all details on the event day so you can be a guest at your own party. I knew I wanted to be very involved with planning but that there would be a few things (e.g., decor) that I wouldn't be able to and/or interested in dealing with. We worked together to develop a concept for the decor and Tanya had amazing ideas for centerpieces, table cards, etc. We had a big snafu about six weeks ahead when our DJ (booked outside of SS) flaked on us. Tanya and Shana patiently listened to my ranting about this disappointing DJ AND had a new contact for us within the day. We hired their guy and he was amazing and different from the regular stable of DJs our Berkeley community experiences. We had a number of organized and calming check-in calls leading up to the day. They really thought of everything, even things like bathroom amenities for the temple and the party venue and a great idea for having guests sign the horah chairs instead of the typical blown-up photo that then gets stuck on a closet shelf. They were everywhere at once at the event always with smiles on their faces. They are so good at what they do and clearly truly love their jobs and love working with each other. Call them now!! read more
