I don't like leaving nasty reviews and didn't plan on it, but now I'm feeling absolutely cheated and I'd hate for someone else to spend thousands with this company. There were a few red flags from the beginning, but we were already kinda locked in with the deposit. I had asked for a floral quote and had a whole intro meeting with Victoria. It took months to respond and she was asking questions we had already answered months prior when we met her. Had to send my mood boards over AGAIN. Seemed unorganized, but we brushed it off because she was very sweet. The day off, my florals did NOT match the inspo at all. They charged 40 bucks per vase, which had one stem of cheap flowers (I'm talking calendula and some filler/foliage for example.) our bouquets were also WILTED the moment they were handed to us. Our tables also just overall looked tacky. I had offered to print all my signage on card stock and Victoria said she had it covered. She ended up printing our menus on regular paper, with no design whatsoever, after assuring us "they're so cute and I can't wait for you to see them!" but never sent them to me to preview lol I also made table number signage that she said she'd print on card stock. These were poorly printed and shrunk down and she didn't use our card holders. She said they didn't work....which of course they wouldn't if you used regular paper. I specifically noted they were meant to hold thick card signage. The food was amazing at our trial and tasted horrible the night of. We got candied brussels that were supposed to be sweet and crisped, and what they served was just steamed, hard, and flavorless. Some appetizers used different ingredients. We were told we had table side service and ppl would help pour wine, but no one helped guests, even when they asked. Our venue even had us confirm that Evntwrks would do table side pouring, and now Victoria is claiming they're not allowed to touch alcohol, despite telling me she had it covered. I was able to brush it all off the day of and had a great time, but the cherry on top for me was when I came to pick up my decor and Victoria claimed my guests took everything. I found that hard to believe, as I didn't even see all the decor I provided on the tables. They were bare. She insisted that they took all centerpieces, and when I asked her to pls check their warehouse again, she found multiple of my boxes. I also took inventory of all my things, and she is now claiming I shorted her on decor so they had to use their own. Once again, I've caught them gas lighting me, trying to act like they did me a favor, when she's in fact lying. I gave close to 50 vases prior to the wedding, and she's now saying I gave 31. After finding my boxes, I counted 28 vases. This doesn't even add up if she's claiming "all my guests took vases home" but now its only three vases taken if I supposedly only gave her 31? Doesn't add up. She also gave me boxes back that were empty. I was furious and asked her where the items went that they didn't even use (such as table card holders I provided). She ended up finding them, but it just goes to show how unorganized they are and the lack of care towards other's belongings. She also claimed my flowers were wilted because we took photos hours before the wedding, which is FALSE. I took photos with my husband only thirty minutes before guests started to arrive. No bridesmaids even had their flowers till right before they walked up. I planned on doing stuff with my floral after and sadly cannot. I was also sent a bill to buy them brand new table linens. She claimed guests lit candles after she had told them not to, and they spilled everywhere, damaging their linens. While waiting for guests to arrive I noticed the tips of my candles were black on some tables, and I had never lit them before. Maybe workers lit them prior and realized they shouldn't so they blew them out? I did admit to seeing some guests light them, maybe two tables, but they put them out immediately when Victoria asked. there was not enough time to even accumulate wax to drip. I also dont understand why they don't have funds or insurance to cover things like this? I'd also be more understanding if pictures were provided for proof. Most vendors have a deposit in case of damages. They did offer to waive the fee after I expressed how terrible everything I was. However, this doesn't even cover all the other services that weren't delivered. Upon reviewing our contract, I've also noticed they taxed service charges/gratuity. Still waiting on a response from them in regards to this.. It's one thing to not have everything turn out as planned, but now I'm catching them in lies, which makes it 10x worst for me. read more

This company was hired to do food and alcohol for a wedding. The food staff was good which was why I am rating 2 stars; however the wedding planner did not plan accordingly for the amount of food and alcohol needed. We ran out of alcohol midway through the cocktail hour which is before the reception. I had to DoorDash alcohol to the wedding to make sure we had enough alcohol for the reception. We also ran out of food so some of the wedding guests only ate salad and bread. The quality of food was good; however they did not plan right for food and beverage. If you use this vendor, make sure they order enough food and alcohol for your event because the planner did not plan right and communicate well to external vendors for the the wedding. read more

FALSE ALARM!!! I initially wrote a review for Evntwrks and was so upset for not getting any communication from them. I spoke with Victoria today and she was amazing. She was late to our call and I was about give up but Victoria called me and explained what happened and why she was late. I really appreciated that. We had our call and she showed extreme attention to detail which is the kind of bride that I am. I believe that we are going to work so well together. Absolute Perfection!! I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the event that the Evntwrks company produced! There were 3 distinct themes in one event: Italy, Switzerland, and Japan (cleverly chosen because the client had offices in these countries). I was hired to perform the harp for the Italian theme. They had a variety of performers to represent each of the three sections. I come from a theatrical background, so I couldn't help but notice the attention to detail for each of the themes with the decorations, props, food & beverage choices, utensils, centerpieces, floral arrangements, furniture, performers and music. Each section took you to a fantasy land of that country! People were in awe and so was I! I've done thousands of events & performances all over the country and I have to say this company is one of the finest. Presentation and detail was above & beyond imagination, food exquisite, the staff exceptional and professional in every way. We hired Evntwrks for our wedding in October and I could write a lot about our experience but I'll try to keep this brief. Evntwrks was very smooth during the sales process but planning the final details and execution of the event was rocky to say the least. For those of us who received a full meal, the food was tasty, but Evntwrks was very slow to dismiss tables and by the last four tables there was no more filet and event staff had to carefully ration what food was left. Evntwrks also advertises floral and wedding rentals but to our dismay, they don't bring on any additional staff to accommodate these services. This resulted in our producers from Evntwrks (Danny and Liz) working until the last seconds tying bouquets (many of which were not ready for bridal party pictures) and forgetting many floral items from altogether. If you do decide to book with Evntwrks, I suggest you hire an independent day of coordinator. Throughout the sales process Danny was adamant that a day of coordinator is redundant since he would be handling all aspects of our wedding, but on our wedding day they were stretched too thin already with floral, set up, and food prep so coordination was scattered. Wedding days are stressful enough and unfortunately you do not get a do-over so I would suggest you steer clear of these guys. read more

We worked with EvntWrks for our October 2023 wedding and they were fantastic! They provided catering, day-of coordination, rentals (reception tables/chairs/etc. plus dance floor, lights, sound system, and ceremony arch), and decoration set-up and clean-up. Victoria, Danny, and Liz were our main contacts and each of them was extremely helpful, great to work with, and focused on making our wedding turn out just like we envisioned it. They also made sure things went smoothly and we actually got to enjoy the day! One reason we selected EvntWrks was because they were a one-stop-shop for almost everything we needed for our wedding, and we are extremely glad we chose them. Working with just one vendor for everything described above greatly simplified our planning process, and Victoria also did a fantastic job coordinating with the other vendors like our shuttle company and the ceremony and reception venue staff. Food: We had a buffet-style 130 person reception at a venue with no kitchen for EvntWrks to use, and everything came out great, just like at our tasting. Our guests gave great feedback about the food, including guests with dietary restrictions, whether they were able to select from the buffet or had one of the special meals EvntWrks prepared for certain diets. There was plenty of everything and they moved folks through the buffet efficiently so that everyone had their food in a reasonable amount of time. They also made sure my husband and I actually got to eat, and we enjoyed the food enough to clean our plates! Coordination: We hired Victoria through EvntWrks as our day-of coordinator and are so glad we did. Our ceremony and reception were in two different locations and both of them had short (~1 hour) setup windows available because they were venues that were open to the public prior to normal closing time. Victoria did a fantastic job both directly and through the rest of the EvntWrks team to make sure everything was ready at both locations so our guests had a seamless experience. One other reason we hired a day-of coordinator was for any unexpected wedding-day "emergencies" and sure enough, when we got a call from a guest that the shuttle stop was blocked by a road closure and the guests couldn't find the shuttles, all we had to do was tell Victoria and she immediately handled it while we got back to spending stress-free quality time with our party preparing for the ceremony. At the reception, either nothing went wrong or it got resolved so fast we never heard about it, and Victoria and the EvntWrks team always made sure we were having a good time and they made sure to bring food, drinks, and dessert directly to us so we didn't miss out on anything while socializing with our guests! Setup/Cleanup: We are typically very "do it yourself" and our family and friends would have been happy to set up all our decorations with us, but because of the two different venues and short setup windows (~1 hour) at each, and the fact that our reception setup window overlapped with our actual ceremony, it just wasn't possible. One of the things that drew us to EvntWrks was the fact that they were willing to set up and clean up in addition to everything else, and they exceeded our expectations on this front. We had relatively complex centerpieces (large home-grown live plants, dozens of origami cranes per table, different sized candles, and favors for every guest), and our guest book and check-in tables were also complex, multi-table affairs with special cameras and instructions. EvntWrks took care of all of it, and all we and our family had to do was enjoy! They let us drop everything off with them ahead of time so we didn't need to transport anything day-of, and their team really listened and cared as I talked through all the decorations at drop-off. They were legitimately enthusiastic about each detail, and that made me feel great! They took great care of even our most delicate decorations and they set everything up perfectly, including some last minute unexpected contributions from family (decorations from previous family weddings and even a huge painting). They even added a few of their own cute and greatly appreciated surprise touches building off our themes and style. It was wonderful to arrive at both the ceremony and reception and see everything look even better than we had imagined! Summary: We worked with EvntWrks for the majority of our wedding day needs, and are so happy we did. Each individual aspect was executed amazingly with thought and care. We had been told by so many people that the actual wedding day can be stressful and fly by, and I even run my own large events so it is normally hard for me to turn that off and just relax. However, EvntWrks was so communicative and handled everything so smoothly that we weren't stressed at all and were able to legitimately enjoy every part of our day! read more

UPDATE: after several weeks of trying to contact evntwrks, they've barely tried to make amends. They wrote us a note saying they disagree with our request but will refund for the items we paid for and didn't receive and that they will not communicate with us again. Their excuses in this letter were also a lie and luckily I have proof of this. They compensated us $15/pp for running out of half the meal. We paid $94. We paid for a certain meal to be represented to our guests and if we just wanted people to get "full" off bread and salad we'd get a different caterer. Many of our guests don't eat fish, so they didn't eat at all since we ran out of meat and a side. This is absurd and terrible that they won't apologize or take responsibility and causing this to be our memory of our wedding. DONT BOOK THEM! We've been trying to work this out directly with Danny at EvntWrks but his one response was deflecting and unproductive and now he is not responding. We've emailed 7 people at the company and 1 via phone, and 1 via text with still no response or resolution to the MANY issues that went wrong at our wedding. - broken promises- Danny INSISTED to be our coordinators and I checked on this twice throughout the planning process and asked if I should hire a coordinator and he and Liz kept insisting that he wanted to coordinate and he kept saying "a coordinator will get in my way because we do it all anyways" -- they are lying about this now to me and others saying it was never included since they poorly executed. But I have proof of this. When I was interviewing coordinators to hire, they knew of evntwrks as a company that didn't respond to their clients or execute well and cautioned me. I should have listened. - They also taxed us on our service charge (illegal) and apparently when we brought it up they continued to do it to others. - They RAN OUT OF FOOD. 4 tables. - Didn't get items we paid for such as greenery in the napkins and more - Danny argued with me about something that went wrong that was his fault for his incorrect floor plan. He did this in front of a guest. This was embarrassing. He walked up to me out of nowhere, I didn't initiate this conversation. A good event planner/coordinator/ whatever he is, would just fix the mistake and not put it on the bride - They gave us a bar list that we doubled because it looked small... and they ran out of alcohol before dinner. This was not an expert behind the scenes creating the list - We planned a champagne toast and they decided not to do it - Their staff is subcontracted even though they advertise no subcontractors. And they're EXTREMELY rude and not experienced - Oh and I got my photobooth pics back and their staff was in the photobooth taking photos. Not a big deal if a million other things didn't go wrong but a bit unprofessional. - as "coordinators" and "event planners" they barely helped with the timeline or planning at all and didn't meet with us before our wedding even after asking multiple times - All of their "departments" online are the same couple of people. Danny did our flowers, coordinating, design, AND was prepping food in the kitchen during our event and left Liz to coordinate a 170 person wedding alone. - Bouquets weren't ready on time so we couldn't get all of the wedding party photos we wanted, even after I texted to remind them what time we needed it ready by. They also had access to our venue for 1.5 days for set up so there should have been no issues or delays. - I liked my flowers because Liz did an amazing job but we had to pivot vibe week of because they are not professional florists who could tell me that the florals I requested were not possible or in season when I sent my vibe. We worked thru this while they were at the flower shop the few days before my wedding when I had family from out of town over. - This could also be prevented with a mock-up but they don't do any design or floral mock-ups. - Danny promised photo mock-ups and then ignored my emails for months - They started cleaning up at 9:30pm by putting tables and chairs away. Making guests feel pushed out and leaving nowhere to sit and moving guests items - Anytime I sent a document it was lost. They were texting me 2 days before my wedding for my labeled floor plan. I don't think they have any system for organization which is very unsettling as you're planning a wedding. I could go on and on but in conclusion, I highly recommend spending thousands with a different company that you can trust to execute beautifully and professionally. EvntWrks was full of broken promises, spread themselves too thin and under delivered. We and our families are extremely disappointed. As they caused us a lot of stress the year of planning with no communication along with stress on the day of because of poor execution. They also owe us money for the items they didn't provide that we paid for. read more

Oh there is so much to say about Evntwrks! They were by far the easiest and most professional vendor we worked with and we would choose them again a hundred times over. Special shout out to Lauren who was a real MVP through the Covid craziness that came our way while we planned and executed our wedding. What a great one-stop service! Our original venue notified us 3 wks before our event, that they overbooked the venue & asked us to start our event 4 hrs earlier. Needless to say we were frantic having to find a new venue and all the arrangements with that. I called Eventwrks and got an immediate response. Lauren was able to take up the task & took off running. She was able to help us select a menu, arrange all rentals (including lounge furniture), and even ways to keep costs down, all within such a short time frame. Two weeks ago I rented three games from Evntwrks for my wedding. The "giant jenga" , Connect 4 and the giant beer pong game. Upon picking up the games I was a little disappointed because they seemed a lot larger online, on there website. Given the date I picked them up I was unable to figure out an alternative larger rental. The games were going to be used in a specific area and due to there much smaller size they were unable to be used in the capacity we wished and the "giant jenga" was not used at all. After our event I reached out to Evnt wrks and related my issues to them. I was told that Scott would be reaching out to me to talk about the issue. At the time of writing this I still have not heard from Scott and our event was on July 13. The main issue, is that if the website accurately portrayed the items or measurements were listed I would understand how it could be deemed my fault, but this is not the case and better communication is needed on evnt wrks behalf. Lauren and the Staff at Evntwrks are the best in the business. We had been in contact with Lauren about 6 months out from the wedding date. All we had to do was provide her the information she was looking for, and she took care of the rest. Lauren gave us an inventory of all the goods and services they provided as well as a price sheet. Everything that impressed us on their website and Instagram looked even better in person. She gave us a breakdown of what to expect based on what we were looking for, and went through what we should and shouldn't do so that we can stay within the budget which was really helpful. She even went to the venue (which was 3 hours away) so that we can better plan out what to expect for the day of the wedding. The day before our wedding, Lauren arrived with her staff and set everything up, including all the decorations we made ourselves. Lauren made sure to keep all our vendors up to date with latest updates and expectations. The wedding day was an absolute dream. They were there every step of the way to make sure that we didn't have to worry about anything. All we had to do was show up and have fun. We received compliments from guests about how amazing the Evntwrks catered food was to how organized the events were throughout the night. Not sure how Lauren does it but she just magically appears when you need her. Their level of communication, dedication to service, and outstanding creative expertise is above expectations. Spoke with Danny on the phone about potentially catering to my wedding. He sounded really kind and that he wanted to work with us, and then he completely ghosted us. Just completely stopped responding to emails all together. I saw another review on here that said the same thing! It's sad because we really wanted to work with Evntwrks but we can't work with a company who literally refuses to get back to us. Imagine it's the day of the wedding and they're not responding to anything? That's a disaster waiting to happen! They also don't put any of their prices on their website so that's a little shady. read more

I recently connected with Evntwrks about 7 months ago and I'm surprised I didn't hear about them before! Full service with everything included in one place is very rare to find for events in the Bay Area. They think outside the box & work with everything from planning to decor, tech to food & beverage. They have been extremely friendly and communicative, even before we met! I love how they are being open & flexible to the changes that we've all been having recently, and will answer the many questions people will have when even just thinking about having an event: - What CAN we do? Is it safe? Since we can't do this, what are our options? Etc. I recommend them & look forward to working with them more in the future. read more

Awesome is the one word that sums up this great company. Danny and Katie and the team are great at capturing your ideas and turning them into a magical and unforgettable experience. I would not hesitate to use them again and again. Working with a bare room, they can transform any space into a work of art. They are simply excellent at what they do, a standout in a field with many players. Now, about the catering!! Yummy. You will not be disappointed. I have been meaning to write this review for awhile, but am so happy to get around to doing it now! First off I should start by mentioning that Evntwrks was the only event production company that I could find that was able to provide all the services I was needing for my event. Their whole team wowed me from the initial conversation in planning my holiday party last December with their prompt responsiveness and flair to think outside the box in creating my themed party! I had a vision of doing a Disney themed event and they were able to capture the whole idea and execute it beautifully. I had wanted the whole space to be transformed and it all came to life as I imagined. I will definitely be reaching out again and excited to have them help create my next event! EvntWrks did not deliver at my daughter's wedding on many fronts -- food, service, flowers, decorations. It has been over 2 months from the wedding and they have still not provided us with any compensation for the many disappointments. Danny is not responding to our emails to get this resolved. Thank you Evntwrks for making my creative art party an elegant occasion to remember! It's always a challenge to host a birthday celebration for my artsy girlfriends. We enjoy getting together at each other's homes to paint while also appreciating good food and a glass (or two) of nice wine. I wanted a home party that would elevate our usual pot luck get together to an elegant upscale celebration of my girlfriends big B-Day. Realizing this would be no easy task I called Evntwrks to work their magic. The party theme was "famous painters". The Evntwrks team hung colorful photos of the artists from the ceiling wearing 3-D party hats. In the center of the room was a life size Frida Kahlo butler who held a selection of stationary hors d'oeuvres and a Georgia O'Keeffe butler who held the decadent desserts. Evntwrks distanced individual art easels surrounding the culinary delights. They also provided rental tables, chairs, linens, etc. They had a stretched art canvas for each of my artists. We had a fabulous time and our birthday girl was thrilled to take home our lovely master pieces as her gift! Would highly recommend the Evntwrks team who assisted in making sure the party went seamlessly! read more

We used EvntWrks for our catering, rentals, lighting, florals, and day of coordination. And let me tell you, our wedding was more perfect than I could have ever dreamed of. Danny, one of the founders of the company, worked with us from our initial tasting visit, to our venue walk through, and right up to coordinating for us on the day of the wedding. Danny and his team expertly executed the entire event and followed my wedding day timeline to the T. Having them by our side was critical to the day running perfectly because we were dealing with multiple locations with a shuttle service transporting guests to and from the venue and ceremony site and on top of that my bridal suite was at a third location. With their help I didn't have to think about anything during the event and got to enjoy being with all our family and friends. As someone who has now planned a wedding, I get how there can be so much stress and anxiety around planning such a big event. And, I can also understand the stress of trusting complete strangers to get you to the finish line, but as someone who went through it with Danny and his team at Evntwrks, they really delivered and did an exceptional job. We received so many compliments across the board after our wedding about the food, the flowers, to even how attentive and professional the waitstaff was. I can't thank Danny and Evntwrks enough for such an amazing day, I got to marry my favorite person and really have the "best day ever." read more

All in all, Evntwrks catered a successful wedding for us, but with a generous share of hiccups. What was good: - The tasting was very nice. - They are able to provide most rentals in-house, and did an excellent job setting up the string lights at our venue. - They offer kid and vendor meals at a good price. - Serving of the plated dinner went smoothly. - The white fish beurre blanc was delicious at both tasting and event. - Set-up and take-down all seemed to go smoothly and on-time. - Lauren showed good general wedding knowledge and demonstrated helpful flexibility at times. What was disappointing: - After we signed a contract with them, IT TOOK 7 WEEKS TO GET A HEALTH PERMIT document that our venue required. It turned out they didn't have it, but instead of being upfront with us about the issue, they gave us the runaround for weeks with various excuses (including telling us we were wrong that the venue needed it, and then sending the venue several incorrect documents instead, creating frustration and confusion). By the time Evntwrks admitted that they were working with the county to get it, we had lost quite a bit of confidence in them. They refused to refund our deposit even as our wedding got closer and closer, with no health permit in hand. It was extremely stressful. They finally delivered the health permit our venue required AFTER we gave Evntwrks a deadline for keeping our business and had started lining up back-up caterers. - Lauren convinced us to plan to retreat to a private space immediately after the ceremony to have a private moment as newlyweds with champagne and appetizers. When we showed up just on the heels of the ceremony, there was no champagne or food ready for us as promised, only an empty, awkward room. When we asked the bartender where Lauren was with our appetizers and champagne, he didn't know anything about it. We ended up chatting with the DJ as they were setting up until Lauren finally showed up with the appetizers, making no apologies or acknowledgement of the mistake. We then fell behind with our pictures. We wish Lauren hadn't made the suggestion if she couldn't execute it - the mishap created anxiety, and we lost valuable time we could have spent celebrating with family and friends. - The steak was not great at the tasting. We ordered a nicer cut of beef for the wedding hoping it would be better day-of, but our plates ultimately were overcooked. - Very poor quality of servers pouring wine at dinner. They walked right by guests asking for wine (this happened to the same VIP guests multiple times), and did not know what they were pouring. (The bride asked for the Albarino and the server responded, "What's that?" It was one of the two wines being poured.) One of the servers was also sweating profusely during the service, and simply called out 'red and white!!' rather than checking glasses and asking politely if anybody needed service. We had high hopes for Evntwrks, as a friend had recommended them, but ultimately we were disappointed. read more
