My daughter and now son-in-law also interviewed them and we all agreed that they were the best. I'll be honest, at first I was a little worried. Not because of anything they were or weren't doing, but because I'm a control freak Plus type A personality and wanted my daughter's wedding day to be perfect. So, I ended up stepping on toes and trying to do things on my own when I should have listened to the wedding planners and sat back and relaxed. Judy and Carol convinced me however that they had EVERYTHING under control and I did become convinced that they did. Nearing the last month and the two weeks before the wedding is when so many of the final details are wrapped up and they are on top of it. So, if you hire them, don't worry, they have it under control. The day of the wedding when we arrived, Carol and Judy were just finishing up the set-up and it was GORGEOUS!!! Also, we had a bit of a fiasco with a hotel that we had lined up and the shuttle service. Judy made many calls on our behalf and we ended up going to a different hotel and hiring a Royal Coach Bus for 57 passengers to take our guests from the Sheraton in Pleasanton to the Crooked Vine Winery in Livermore. This worked out perfectly and made the evening so enjoyable for everyone because they didn't have to worry about driving. I will say that when my next daughter gets married, I will definitely be hiring Carol and Judy again! Going into a wedding, you think you only have to hire people but there are so many details, many that you don't even think about. I loved all their vendors and will be writing separate reviews on that. Their floral person did an awesome job!!!! On the wedding day they stayed until the very end and had all the gifts and everything loaded into our vehicle already. This was so nice because my husband and I could spend time with our guests instead of running around making sure everything was going right. I highly recommend Carol and Judy for your wedding planners! Worth every penny!

Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Our wedding was held at Cornerstone Sonoma which plays hosts to multiple property attractions including a winery, barn, dinner tent, shops and outdoor art installations. With a venue as such, VME was efficient and strategic in all accounts to ensure each phase of our wedding ran smoothly. Rom was absolutely amazing as our lead coordinator! Right off the bat, she understood our style and the type of wedding we wanted to plan. She showed a genuine interest and offered sincere suggestions which we really appreciated. With it being wedding season and all, we never once felt her attention divide. We can not thank her enough for being engaged and on top of everything. As a bride who has never dreamed up a wedding as a child, we were kind of just pulling random pins in hopes it would all come together. Rom was really supportive of all our major DIY projects and even scheduled touch bases to help keep us on track. We commend her patience and positive attitude throughout the entire adventure-- which I have to mention was tested during our ride from the hotel to the venue! With a storage mishap, each of the bridesmaids literally held a layer of our four tiered wedding cake in lap as we steadily drove all while keeping with the timeline schedule. Let me just say how comforting it was, Rom was completely calm and collected ensuring me the cake would be assembled without worry. In my head, I'm just praying we don't run over a speed bump and butter cream her entire interior! The level of dedication we received from Rom and VME on our wedding day was above and beyond anything we expected! The communication between all our vendors alongside the VME team was consistent from start to finish. Throughout the day we even received compliments from our guests on their professionalism and how well each series of events was executed and transitioned to the next. Bride was very stressed out. Pens for the guestbook were not quality checked and did not work. The brides father and brother had to go to the venue to receive and quality check the table and chairs. Things were not set up on time (lots of waiting around for dinner, dancing, bouquet toss). Multiple times during the reception I saw her consulting the bride. Consultation and the plan of the vision are supposed to be established ahead of time. The wedding planner is supposed to take off as much stress from the bride and bridal party. I don't feel the brides best interests were taken into account- the bride made some bad calls and the planner should have stepped in with professional judgement. Guests would have been perfectly happy with 30 minutes of dancing. 1 hour + of dancing is just too much for guests AND the bride was exhausted!!! Several times I saw wedding planner standing around doing nothing or picking up menial things and not prepping for the next event, chitchatting, her assistant was not knowledgeable on the dinner menu. For several of the events I was the one running around -finding the getaway car keys, finding the bouquet, finding people to move things along. She was inept and making the wedding reception flow - guests were frustrated. Even if bride has crazy wishes - yes you want to do what she wishes but not at the expense of a drawn out event that makes guests want to leave.
