They suggested that we meet in person to make sure that it was a good fit and ended up having a fabulous evening drinking rose, telling stories and of course talking [wedding] shop. For our wedding, C&V helped with overall event design and vision, invitations, signage design and production, day-of setup and teardown for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Our venue was challenging due to having multiple events in multiple spots onsite and also the people running the place were somewhat hard to deal with, but The Gingers made everything feel effortless. I am having a hard time not writing paragraphs about the various ways in which they helped along the way but all you really need to know is that they are incredibly organized, have fabulous taste, are easy to collaborate with, talked me off several ledges & always kept my budget in the back of their minds. And maybe most importantly, they are just lovely people who made the planning process feel less overwhelming. I literally could not have done it without them. From the details of the wedding decor to the family group shots and friends "getting down" on the dance floor, we were able to re-live our once-in-a-lifetime occasion through her pictures. As most couples, Jonathan and I wanted to be brought back to this cherished time and remember all the fun and joy that our wedding weekend had to offer. We put a lot of time, energy and personal touches into our wedding, and wanted those details to be saved in time forever. In a hiring a wedding photographer, you only have one chance to get it right. With Melanie, we got exactly that! Through her photos, Melanie captured the heart-felt emotions of us getting ready, seeing each other for the first time, walking down the aisle, participating in the ceremony, and rocking the reception celebration. She also has a keen eye for landscapes. Melanie used the natural surroundings as inspiration and backdrop for fun and creative pictures with pieces of our wedding decor. For our couple shots, she took stylistic and classic photos around the ranch (even braving the bees in the garden!), and made sure that we didn't miss the beautiful light of sunset together. I'm many years late in writing this review but I wanted to finally do the right thing and say the…read morefollowing: 1) Laura is an AMAZING wedding planner 2) She is patient, kind, and an excellent listener 3) I found her to be very fair with her prices 4) She helped a busy, anxious bride, who did not enjoy wedding planning have a truly wonderful wedding day 5) We could not have had the beautiful wedding that we did without Laura's expert guidance 6) She does an excellent job of working with and balancing the opinions of the bride, the groom, and even the mother of the bride when necessary :) 7) Laura is fun, has a good sense of humor, and keeps things light even while handling the hundreds of serious details involved in a wedding. Things I would do differently? - Hire Laura from the start!: We hired Laura mid-way through the planning, after we had selected our venue and hired many of our vendors. I believe we would have saved money had we hired Laura earlier because she knows of so many great vendors, great venues, and knows how to stay on budget. She also has wise advice on how to prioritize spending. - Realize that every wedding has a planner: It took me a few months to realize that my husband and I were acting as our wedding planners... and that just isn't our strong suit! Planning a wedding, or any large event, involves hundreds of details large and small. I would have asked myself: Do I want to do this kind of work?; Do I have time to do this?; Am I organized enough to manage all of these moving parts?; Am I in a position to slow down on work and other life activities so I have the time to plan the wedding of our dreams? - Admit defeat sooner! Bring in a Pro!: I now realize that I do not like discussing nuances of menus, napkin folds, chair covers, lighting, flower arrangements, or planning the ceremony down to the minute. Being able to admit that I'm just not good at those things freed me up to finally accept help and hire someone. I felt such relief when we hired Laura because she's amazing at all of these things and more. Watching her in action really showed me the value of a professional wedding planner. Conclusion: I don't write Yelp reviews very often. But this is one that I had to do. I wholeheartedly recommend Laura as a wedding or event planner. She's a class act and a pleasure to work with. :)

She was amazing with corralling my vendors and myself (since I was starting a new job and honestly did not do everything I needed to). Once the COVID shutdown happened, she quickly pivoted with me to plan a backyard wedding ceremony in less than a month. And boy did she pull it off! With her on your wedding day, there is not a single thing to worry about. She will bring your visions to life AND THEN SOME. She worked with me on my backyard wedding ceremony in August 2020 and grand wedding reception at the Academy of Sciences in August 2021 taking every curveball the pandemic has thrown our way without batting a lash. She even brought my leftover liquor and items back to our hotel so we could continue the party all while being barely 3 months postpartum! Me and Omar did get married on May 2018 thru the courthouse and fast forward to early March of 2019, we decided to actually plan for our big wedding which was set on June 6, 2020. Throughout the planning process, we met Danny (Janelle's husband and also part of Visionary Events and Designs team) they are both super talented and supeeeer nice and we just all get along very well, which made this whole wedding journey soooo much better! From creating our vision boards to our meetings which I alwayssss look forward to, Janelle & Danny made sure me and Omar (the groom-zilla) compromise in every decision we make. They are very neutral, explained pros and cons of every lil detail, mind you, there are details that we won't even probably think of until it was all laid down to us. The options ultimately led to the creation of the perfect bouquet as Camille incorporated feedback from the BTB to design floral arrangements that were not only unique but also beautifully matched her vision.
