Best place in town! We tried steak, lobster rolls, salad, wings and all 3 dessert option , it was all great. The staff is friendly and the chef is consistent. We have also brought our dog at times to sit outside.

We came on a Thursday night around 7pm in late September and we're happy to see 4+ tables filled, especially this late in the Chatauqua season. It felt warm and inviting when we walked inside. We were seated right away with menus. We weren't sure what the ordering process was so we noticed the QR code on the table so we placed our order online. We ordered a glass of the super Tuscan and I can't remember what my husband ordered. Both were nice, dry and good temp. Our Caesar salad came out first. It was crisp, fresh and we enjoyed the bacon bits. We could tell if there was anchovy in it but the menu had it listed. The filet was cooked to my medium rare request. I wish there were a small side potato or veg on the plate. It looked so bare and but I didn't really want to pay $8-10 more for a side on top of the $38. But I recognize how restaurants need to balance price, quality and quantity. My husband ordered the salmon so I stole some of his Brussels sprouts and kale. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a lot of good flavors. The kale was very salty and our waiter said he shared that with the chef but didn't offer anything more. We finished our meal and our waiter asked if we had already closed out. He mentioned that we were probably one of the rare customers who figured out the online ordering process. We would like to give this place another try. The quality of food was very good and we liked the atmosphere. Pricing was on the higher end for the area so we'll save it for a special occasion!

I couldn't be happier that we found this hidden gem just minutes from our cabin in Mayville. While we like to get out there to unplug, grill, and watch the fire burn we still love an upscale option nearby and this is the answer! We enjoyed an incredible brunch complete with cocktails and even a mocktail for our non drinking guest. The detail in the each dish and drink matches the ambience and design and of this locally family owned restaurant/bar and we were blown away from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The crab cakes were for sure the star of the show but each menu item we ordered was unique and a winner in its own way. We cannot wait to go back for dinner and continue to be loyal customers. Keep it up!!!

Nothing bad to say about this place. Very modern chic and the atmosphere is like no other restaurant in Mayville. If you're in the Chautauqua area you need to try Truffle Honey!

The focal point of the entry to this restaurant is a gorgeous tiled wood oven. My group ordered a Mediterranean pasta dish, halibut, and a burger with fries. Anything, especially a side of broccolini, touched by the oven was delicious. This restaurant is a great addition to the options near the Chautauqua Institution.

My wife ordered chicken korma and I chose pork chops. Both were pleasing choices. Our server was young - and likely new. She was impressive! My wife frequently orders chicken, therefore she is an excellent judge regarding what she was served. I seldom order pork chops because I have been disappointed too many times. This was an exception. This year was equally bad, so we won't be going again. Here's why. FOOD. It's okay, but it's not that good. Between the 2 visits and 4 people, we've ordered a decent variety from the menu. Nothing stuck out as especially good. Most food was left uneaten. SERVICE. The staff is kind, but highly ineffective. It took them multiple trips to the table just to get drinks out, water cups filled, etc. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for the appetizers and another 25 minutes for most of the entrees. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for the last entree to be served - and then it was prepared wrong. And this was on a slow night. LOCATION. Can't be beat if you're staying on the grounds. It's right by the Plaza. If you are looking for good food and service, there are better options (like the Intermezzo) on the Chautauqua grounds.

The Empty Bottle is STBC's distillery and, to be honest, I think was more fun to go to compared to their bar/restaurant, The Empty Pint! Some family and I were visiting Jamestown for a weekend and after we had a few drinks and some food at The Empty Pint, we stumbled over to The Empty Bottle to sample some of their harder spirits and maybe some cocktails. Plus, we needed to escape the incredibly loud live music playing at The Empty Pint... Right from the start, it's a more intimate setting and was much more relaxed. We grabbed a table inside with no trouble at all and ordered a flight of their "Draught Cocktails". The ladies working behind the bar were incredibly fun, friendly, and enthusiastic and really brightened up our night! We enjoyed all of these drinks but we really loved one called "Transfusion", which was their vodka, Welch's Grape Juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger ale. We all wanted to buy a few bottles of this, if they made it, it was absolutely delicious! The price for the flight was very reasonable too and they gave you a nice pour for each. If you want food though, you'll need to take a short walk over to The Empty Pint, though I'd recommend just grabbing some appetizers, do a bigger meal elsewhere. My advice to anyone visiting Southern Tier Brewing Company would be to first come to The Empty Bottle and enjoy cocktails and the harder spirits then round out the evening, once it gets a little later, with a Pumking (while it's on draft) at The Empty Pint, up the road a few steps. I'm really looking forward to coming back to The Empty Bottle the next time I'm in the area!
