Lynn greeted me at the front desk with a friendly, welcoming smile. From there I was seen by the Dental Assistant, Hygienist, Dentist, Owner, and again by Lynn (Operations Manager). EVERY staff member I encountered was so comforting and had an eagerness to help me fix my smile. I was VERY emotional but at the end of my visit I was so happy I chose this dental office! We weren't happy with that practice for many reasons, and Altman Dental was recommended to us by many families that we are friends with. He sees me and my husband and even my 9 year old! He LOVES Dr. Altman ( even more than his Pediatrician which says a lot!). I just came here to say that I always have a great experience with the front desk ladies, while I'm in the chair Dr. Altman is conversational and is humorous and informative and explains what's happening as he's doing it. Today the first step of my implant has started and I needed this tooth pulled. It was a great experience! I don't doubt that he will check on me later. I looked up who was in my network, and Dr. Danziger came up and viola, less than half a mile from my house! Worth a try! I called them around 9am, just really asking if they were taking new patients and explaining my current tooth situation and how I am an overly anxious patient (so they wouldn't be surprised when I got all nutsy when I got in the chair). The woman was so calming on the phone and rest assured they would take care of me. And what do you know, they had an opening for 3pm today. So off I went. The office is bright and clean and friendly. They took me on time and everyone was so nice. The dentist came and looked at the x-ray I just had, and it turned out I needed a filling. Honestly, he worked with such ease, I couldn't stop raving to him about how such a good job he did and how I would actually go to the appointments now (unlike before where I would make them and cancel them the day before). The endodonist quoted me $3000 cash only which I didnt have. I stopped by Sheridan Family Dental to for teeth cleaning and was told I missed the appointment. I must have written it diwn wrong. They refused to reschedule me. i then asked id they could refer me to an oral surgeon to extract the bad tooth since I couldnt afford the root canal and crown andrhe dentist came out and said i was no longer their patient cause I didnt follow the treatment plan. Despite my explanation that I didnt have $3000, he told me yo leave. I had been a patient there for over 40 years! Clearly for them it is all about MONEY!

The issue is that on your first appointment if you request a cleaning, you do not get a cleaning. You get X-rays then a consultation, then they upsell you for your next visit for the cleaning. They seem to have you coming and going.

Later, I needed another root canal on a different tooth and I was scheduled with a different dentist (it seems you cannot request a specific dentist), and that dentist said that I'd need a crown for the first tooth. That's weird, because the older, more-experienced dentist said that I would not need a crown. One dentist put that 'dam' over my mouth to work on a specific tooth. I am petite and it covered my nose completely, I kept moving it with my hand and he was like 'Oh can't you breathe?' and he pretended like he was cutting it down so it would not cover my nose, but he only cut a small area off and it still covered my nose and I could barely breathe. (You can't breathe out of your mouth while it's being worked on, and saliva is building up in there, so you need to breathe through your nose). I saw that dentist again for something else, and he kept positioning his hands/fingers over my nostrils as he worked. I got the impression that he was getting a kick out of this, like it's a kink or something. I will be reporting him.

This was my first appointment at this dental office. I…read morewent in for my first appointment today and it was very, very nice and clean inside which I am not used to. The receptionist had me fill out a ton of paperwork which I already did online so I don't know why I had to do it again, so that was kind of a major pain. I sat in the waiting area, which again was very nice and comfortable and got called in pretty fast. It's set up like Aspire dental was where you walk in the door and there's a whole bunch of like cubicles with a different hygienist at each one and they were quite a few of them and that may have only been half the office. I'm not sure. I had Marlene, who was very nice. I liked her a lot and I will continue seeing her every time I go. She only checked at this appointment to try to find out if I am eligible for a deep clean, so I'll find that out sometime soon and I also need to have a cavity filled, which really sucks and she's having me see a specialist to see if I need another root canal, which I'm sure I do. The doctor was really nice too. She came over to check my teeth real quick and verify and confirm everything that the hygienist said, and she was really sweet. Scheduling another appointment was really easy too. No hassle no wait time. So far I like this place a lot, I go back on Thursday, so we'll see how my second appointment goes.
