I've lived in LA the past 2 years and I'm drifting through Hamilton on business. This is easily the BEST COFFEE I've had in those two years. The decor is eclectic and colorful, the music is alternative perfection. Vanessa (the owner) is funny, kind, and super helpful pointing me in the direction of some local haunts. Stopped in for coffees and a quick breakfast. The shop offered a unique atmosphere that would have been a great setting to sip my favorite, an americano. I took our order to go; two breakfast burritos and two americanos. The burritos were cooked on a panini press, different then what I expected but still very good! The barista was friendly and very efficient. Loved it and will look for an excuse to visit Hamilton again for coffee at True West. read more

Better than Starbucks, True West offers loyalty punch cards and makes darn good lattes. I usually use their drive through where they are quick and friendly. The inside is funky and not cookie cutter and you feel like you're at someone's house, not at an impersonal chain store. They have pretty good breakfast offerings and free wifi. The staff is nice and aren't judgy jerks when I've been a coffee ignoramus in the past. Ever tried to describe what coffee style you like to a barista and had them be super rude? That's happened to me before and made me feel terrible for not being fluent in coffee. You won't find that at True West. They'll guide you through your coffee journey and get you caffeinated with a smile. read more

I should say I do not like giving 1 star reviews. Hamilton needs a place like this. I don't expect all my drinks to be perfect, or the staff to be overly friendly, but one thing turns me off more than anything. When you pick up my cup, I do not want you to stick three of your fingers inside it. You just do not pick the cup up or hold it by grabbing it from the top and in the process stick half your hand inside the cup I'm going to drink from. It's the main reason I like to go inside the first few times I try a new place. I want to see how they do what they do. If the owner reads this, I hope he or she explains to the staff how to pick up a cup. If they acknowledge this post, I'll go back and give it another try, and also update my review, until then I can't recommend it or go back. read more

When I'm in a new town I like to try the local restaurants and coffee shops to support the local economy knowing I can get a national chain coffee anywhere. True West not only offers coffee, but breakfast and lunch too. We were in the market for breakfast so decided to give it a try. Not a big mistake, but not a decision I'd make again...I ordered the Belgium waffle. They have a big sign outside advertising them so I had high hopes for my second choice when they told me they were out of the oatmeal and fruit. I ordered the waffle with strawberries. What landed on the table with a fork (no napkin) was a waffle with 8 strawberry quarters. Not enough strawberries for every bite and barely enough thin syrup to cover the waffle. My dining partner ordered the nutty nanner on wheat. It looked like it came out of a panini press and she enjoyed it. As she said, "you can't go wrong with peanut butter and banana." My latte was fine and her chai was good, but would I rush to go back the next time I'm in town? No. read more

I tried it for the first time.i went through the drive thru and did get fast and polite service. I bought a coffee and coffee muffin.the,muffin was clearly not freshly made as it was very dry.and the coffee was terrible.i cant belive it won for the best coffee in butler county! I will say its better then white castles coffee,but not as good as what i can make at home.and once i got to the last few drinks it was really awful and i dint finish it. Also,you can only get drinks and baked goods from the drive thru .you have to,go in for the other types of food. read more

Super nice little cafe....great sandwiches! This is a GREAT place to go and hang out with friends, or alone with a book/laptop and chill out. This is one of the most missed places in Hamilton! I can't believe isn't packed out all hours of the day! Although, it does look super crowed most of the time I drive by! Not the cheapest place around, but they have good quality ingredients and not an overly process fast food type joint (yuck, there are just too many of those places around here! ugh!). Really nice find in Hamilton! It was waffle Sunday so we had one to go with one of their specialty coffees which was prepared very well. The atmosphere was cozy. There was plenty of comfy seating and the loft was a cool find. There was even outdoor tables and a nice selection of games. Sign said Friday is Open Mic night. We will be back read more

The coffee is always good and the baked goods just fine but the breakfast food leaves a lot of room for improvement. My wrap with eggs was completely tasteless and my husbands panini was as well. My sons oatmeal wasn't even cooked all the way through and had no kind of liquid (milk or whatever). We were served with no utensils or napkins - had to go searching for them. The frap latte is delicious although it would've been nice with whip cream on top. The service wasn't that great. I go there for lunch all the time. Their sandwiches are great, especially the Bada Bing. Highly recommended, go check them out.

I can only comment on the High St/Downtown store. Have been there about 10 times now and each time I have ordered the Bada Bing no onions. I absolutely love it. It is best when they somewhat overcook the bread on this sandwich as it really cracks when you bite and then you hit lush goodness of a variety of Italian meats, provolone and some Italian dressing. I get it to go usually - comes with a pickle, bag of chips (I get jalapeno) for $6.95. I think that is a decent value for what you get. For the times I have eaten in, really enjoyed sitting at the front bar window seats and just taking my time enjoying lunch and the city scene. I would like to see some other meats besides turkey as the main ingredient on most sandwiches but that is a minor issue. Thumbs way up, can't go wrong here. read more

My husband & I took a walk there with our dogs one day to get some coffee. And they wouldn't serve us at the drive thru window because we werent driving a vehicle. Obviously we couldn't come inside because we had the dogs but we were outraged because we specifically walked to their facility to get some coffee. Had we known their policy about using the drive thru we would have gone somewhere else. Also the waitress who answered the drive thru was complerely rude & clueless. She kept saying it wss illegal but it's not. It's just their company policy. If you can walk up to flubs why can't you walk up to their window? Clearly they're not dog friendly or really supportive of Hamilton's new vibe. read more
