After mowing, trimming bushes, and blowing the yard, they checked the drip lines and sprinkler heads to make sure there were no leaks and that the times were set correctly. He listened to my complaints and wanted to help fix the problem and learn from their mistakes. He agreed to refund my last service which I appreciate. Thankful that the management cares enough to fix the issue and train the team. UPDATE 9/2026 3 STARS: We had Silver Fern for two years, and they charged $94 a month, which was a reasonable price for monthly maintenance. Recently, they increased the rate to $99 a month. While that increase was manageable, it ultimately wasn't worth it given the quality of service we received. We enjoyed the crew when they first started, but over time, the cost no longer made sense for the minimal amount of work being done. The service really seemed to decline over the last six months. Since our yard has no grass, their only tasks were blowing leaves and trimming the bushes, and they would be in and out within 15 minutes. They used to stay at least 30 minutes, so it seemed very rushed. During their last visit, they cut our bushes almost bare and unevenly, something they hadn't done before. Additionally, about six months ago, our irrigation box was broken off the wall and laying on the ground, and we weren't notified by the crew. When we discovered it a week after their service visit, we were quoted $355 to have their irrigation timer installed. This was far too expensive for an issue that could have been avoided. After careful consideration, we decided to part ways with them.

We did talk about my previous landscaper who would not show up on time which is the same issue I had with her. If you make an appointment follow through. At the same time this project was happening, my wife was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Because of her condition, we were traveling constantly seeking treatment, and I was not able to be present at the house while the work was being done. I trusted Gordon completely to take care of everything and deliver excellent results. I paid $52,000, exactly what he asked for, without negotiating a single dollar--because I wanted quality work and peace of mind during one of the most difficult periods of my life. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The materials used were clearly the cheapest options available. The lighting installed on the front-yard stairs was very poor quality and is now completely dead. I had to personally replace it with proper sensor lights at my own expense. The front water fountain was supposed to be centered with my sliding front door, which I specifically requested, but it was installed off-center. The backyard is not properly leveled--there are visible uneven areas where some sections are higher than others. There are also noticeable gaps between the tiles throughout the backyard, which should never happen in a project of this scale or cost. I did not leave a review immediately because my focus was entirely on my wife's health and survival. However, every time I look at my front and backyard, it honestly makes me sad. I trusted someone to do the right thing while I was away dealing with a life-or-death situation, and instead I feel that advantage was taken of my absence. What makes this even more upsetting is seeing my neighbors' landscaping--beautiful designs, clean work, and high-quality lighting--for less than two-thirds of what I paid. I am writing this review so others know what happened to me. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Blossom Oak Landscaping or Gordon Palmer. Please be extremely careful.
