I took my P4DC Takamine to David to have the action lowered (typical of Takamine from what I've…read moreheard). Having a lot of money already wrapped up in my guitar, I was a little hesitant to have the kind of work done that was necessary to reach my goal. He explained how he would have to remove about .095" of material from the saddle without having to adjust the neck (which he explained would not lower the action across the entire fret board). This made me nervous because the 2,000 dollar guitar was going to be modified forever. He has an Erlewine Neck Jig with a line of precision dial indicators for measuring neck deflection, and measuring tools to gauge the action. He explained the purpose of the tool to alleviate any apprehension I had about modifying my guitar. In the end, he lowered the action perfectly, and did a small adjustment on the truss rod so that the action was the same across the board. The end result was perfect. I have a friend who plays professionally who played it and said it was one of the smoothest and most playable guitars he ever enjoyed. Dave also set up my Gretsch 6120 and restrung it with flatwound strings and again, perfect. He is ultra-careful with the instruments brought into his shop. I highly recommend Dave if you are looking for a quality luthier in the Binghamton area. He is top shelf and his pricing is very reasonable. Ric Chrysler

These guys were great!…read more They set up the appointment quick, arrived just when they said they would and did a great job. We bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer combo after reading about a million negative reviews of the new high-efficiency models offered by all the other brands. We have only just had them installed so I can't really comment on them yet, but everything seems awesome so far. But the service from Shaul's Appliance was top notch and their price was significantly better than the big competitor in the area. They were humorous, competent, and fast! We would defiantly recommend them and will be checking with them next time we need a home appliance.

He was so helpful to me, telling me what he thought it was, what part I needed and where to get it for the best price and that his son could walk us through it after we got the part. His price for fixing the washer was very reasonable. But because of his kind help we ended up being able to do it ourselves. This company is definitely not just out for your money. We were incredibly impressed and will call them first in the future if we have further appliance trouble and will also refer others to him. Don certainly went above and beyond the call of duty just to be a helpful and kind person. We are very impressed and recommend this company highly. Mary Lee

In the fall, I took my Miele vacuum to A to Z in Endwell, NY, for repairs, as it had suddenly…read morestopped working. The vacuum was originally purchased from this business several years prior. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful and said they would call when repairs were completed. When called a week or so later, I picked up my cleaner and was told the problem was with the cord... that it had been fixed and a new filter had also been installed. The cost was around $200. I didn't have a problem with that, all things considered. When I got home and plugged the vacuum in, it ran for about five minutes, then quit, so I returned to A to Z to see what was going on. Left the machine for a second time, they called in a few days and said the problem had been resolved and that there would be no charge this time around. Picked up the cleaner, got home, plugged it in, and this time it ran for about a minute before it quit. I was so frustrated with this experience, I decided to just give up on them as a repair service. I did not take the cleaner back. They are great when it comes to selling a wonderful product, but repairs do not seem to be their specialty. After searching elsewhere for a repair service, I found none. This past week, the cleaner was disposed of as recyclable. What a shame. I am so disappointed with A to Z. I will not be a returning customer.

I can not begin to say enough about TSR Pro Audio Service which is a Roland & Bose service and…read morerepair shop. I recently had my Roland Stage synth worked on by Bob who is the owner and Tech for TSR . Since the man who use to work on my Hammond and Leslie set ups and my synths for over 20 years passed away within the past 2 years I have been in limbo trying to find someone with the knowledge and capability to fix whatever i would need fixing with my equipment . I called TSR and talked to Bob who is down to earth and a stellar musician himself playing keyboards . When I dropped off my Roland Stage it was so distorted that every voice from the piano to the strings were awful to listen to . Within a few weeks I called Bob and it was ready for pickup and the problem was solved and not a miner problem either. Just getting to the repair was a feat in itself , layers of boards had to be taken off to get to the issue . I also could not believe the fair price Bob charged me and in the world of musical repair it was shocking how fair Bob is . I have now dropped off a Peavey CS1000 power amp that was said to be not worth fixing as it would be to much money for labor . It is now ready for the studio again all fixed . I now have my Roland Juno 6 Synth at TSR being cleaned up so I can hit the stage with it again . It's in amazing near excellent shape and just needs a bit of TLC under the hood. My next keyboard after the Juno 6 to be at TSR will be the very first 1966 Doric compact organ my parents bought me when I was playing Frat houses at 14. The bottom line is this ,,,would I ever take these fantastic Keyboards and Organs to someone learning the trade ,,,Heck no,,,I usually do not write reviews because folks usually have their own opinions anyway , but if anyone is in need of equipment repair weather it be keyboards , speakers or amps do yourself a favor and call Bob at TSR You will be as happy as I am I'm sure .
