After having at least half a dozen riding buds tell me about their positive experience with Starter…read moreCycles and Guillaume, I called and made an appointment to have some mods done on my '25 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS....I needed my ECU pulled and then re-installed and full exhaust system installed. Meeting and talking with Guillaume is what really sold me on this shop. He was genuine, friendly, knowledgeable and I immediately got great vibes from this guy. When I say this is one of the best shops in L.A., I say that having dealt with many over 40+ yrs. If you need work done on your bike and you want an honest, vastly knowledgeable motorcycle mechanic who will treat you with courtesy and respect; one who can work on virtually ANY make or model, charges fair, competitive prices and gets the jobs done as quickly as possible, then Starter Cycles is the place for you. I highly recommend Stater Cycles.

I agree with Peter Y.'s review. Guillaume is THE go-to motorcycle guru in SoCal. I had left a bike…read moreoutside for seven years, and while I was able to do some of the basic work on it myself, I needed a real professional to get it back into top shape. Guillaume got everything sorted and now my bike runs better than it ever has. Also, extra kudos to Guillaume for identifying and fixing a few tricky things that I hadn't noticed. I highly recommend that you use Starter Cycles for all of your motorcycle repairs/servicing. *Google maps may give you strange directions to the shop. It's located under the Western Avenue elevated overpass between Flower and San Fernando. If you're coming from I-5, take Western Ave north, and before you fully cross Flower St., take the side access road on the right side and drive next to the overpass columns until you see the low brick wall with a white gate at 808 Western Ave. Take a 90 degree left at that point and drive under the overpass and into the driveway. The shop is all the way back on the right side. There's a sign on the open garage door that says don't enter the area, but it's ok for customers to walk in. Note that Starter Cycles shares shop space with a vintage Honda restorer (Charlie's Place LA). As you enter the shop, Charlie's Place LA is in front of you, and Starter Cycles is to the left.

He's taken care of all of the preventative maintenance and all of my off script requests. Not only on my Zero...but also on my Indian... He's got top notch skill and cares about the details. AND he takes the time to talk and explain what and why...never seems rushed. So chill... I would trust him with ANY issue on ANY bike. I would 100% recommend Tyler at Motowerkz to anyone!

Outstanding Service and Expertise!…read more I can't say enough great things about Moto Werkz and Tyler! As someone new to the motorcycle world, I was nervous about needing repairs on my Z650--but Tyler made the whole experience smooth, easy, and educational. He's incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense to me--not just seasoned riders. Tyler ordered all the necessary parts, kept me updated throughout the process, and even gave me honest advice about future maintenance, like when to consider new tires or my next oil change. He's upfront about any potential risks or wear, and his communication is excellent--always responsive and clear. I dropped my bike off on a Saturday and had it back by Tuesday, fully repaired, cleaned, and detailed. His attention to detail and customer service are top-notch. I never once felt talked down to for not knowing something--Tyler genuinely wants riders to understand and feel confident about their bikes. If you're looking for honest, fast, high-quality service from someone who truly cares, Tyler at Moto Werkz is the guy to go to. Highly recommended!
