The brisket just melts in your mouth. It's so flavorful and tender. (I'm already craving it just from talking about it) The turkey was perfectly moist and delicious. I'm not a big sausage fan but theirs is really good. No gristle at all! That banana pudding is soooo good. The beans and macaroni are OK. They aren't bad but the BBQ is what really shines here. Their spicy pickles are really great and they sell them by the jar. Service is quick and friendly. Great people here. It's a small building on highway 6 in Manvel that is only open on the weekends. Our mashed potatoes were cold as well, which is NOT food safe. The brisket was cut the wrong direction as well which affected the texture. Big Horn BBQ has become one of our family's go to spots when we're craving BBQ. My 15 year old son…read moreis definitely a carnivore, and his favorite thing to order is the pound of brisket as his meal. He is completely in love with it! He also has Type 1 Diabetes, so having the option to order just meat is actually a huge plus for us. He doesn't always love having to dose insulin for every meal, so being able to get something like a pound of brisket with little to no carbs gives him an option where he can just enjoy his food without having to think as much about his insulin. It may seem like a small thing, but having those choices makes a big difference. My girls usually get the chicken tender meals, and even the kids portions are huge. There is almost always enough left over to take home, which is always a bonus. My husband and I usually share the three meat meal. The turkey is honestly the highlight for both of us. It is really good and probably our favorite meat they offer. We usually get the ribs and brisket with it as well, and everything is pretty solid. I wouldn't say it's competition style BBQ, but for a local restaurant, it's definitely good BBQ and a place we enjoy coming back to. The portions are generous, the food is consistent, and it's a restaurant that works well for our whole family. The sides are also really good and there are plenty of options to choose from. The desserts are probably the one area that didn't stand out as much for me. I tried the bread pudding, and it was just not my favorite. The flavor and texture were a little different than what I expected. That being said, the BBQ itself is what keeps us coming back. Overall, Big Horn BBQ is a great spot with good food, big portions, and options that make it easy for everyone in our family to find something they enjoy. The service is fast and it feels like a cowboys restaurant with all the animals on the walls!

They have good BBQ, but for me the BBQ brisket baked potato is the best. I get it every time, and it's always satisfying especially with the bbq sauce. The baked potato for me is so large that you can easily share it or eat from it twice. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese, yams, and corn casserole. The yams had good flavor, but some pieces had a slimy, mushy texture. The mac and cheese was pretty standard, while the corn casserole tasted almost like bread pudding with corn, which may be delicious if that's your thing. Since this was my first time dining inside, I noticed they had a large array of desserts and coffee options that I'll most definitely be returning to try. The inside of the restaurant is massive, decorated, and spacious enough to accommodate both small and large parties. The customer service could have been better. It's usually great when I order through the drive thru window, so it was disappointing that the service inside wasn't the same.

I apreciated Honore's having a few games for the kids to keep them busy while the adults eat and chat. Maybe a little corner of the patio should be dedicated for them so theyre not in the middle of other patrons. Just a thought. Come early and order. Happy Hour before it ended literally had the line to order out to patio! There is a drive up pick up location on the east side of the building but how you order ahead? Didn't see anything on the website... I ordered the poboy with catfish and fries. When I picked up the to go plate, I just knew somebody's order had been combined with mine because the bag was heavy! Turns out they give Humongous portions at Honore's. Only thing: Although, I didnt ask for tartar sauce, no ketchup or cocktail sauce with my to go order. Still the poboy wad fresh and filled from end to end with catfish. Fries were hot and fresh in the take out box and not too salty, so I had to enjoy a few before leaving. Most definetly you have to order the coveted boudin balls. I got a small pack of both the original and pepper jack since they were on sale for Happy Hour. They didn't disapppoint. They were slightly bigger than a golf ball and the gooey pepper jack cheese was a great compliment to the crunchy exterior. Topped with Remoulade or Ranch and I got pretty full just off Boudin balls. The miss for me is the frozen drinks- especially the frozen Hurricane slushy. Tasted like medicine, but about an hour later I did feel a little kick from the drink. My friend agreed but tried the blue flavor and stated it was better than the hurricane. We enjoyed our little meet up at Honore's so much, we lost track of time. Four hours of girl chat and good food happens that way. Thanks Honore's for making our evening!

I also wish the egg was cracked on top so I could poach it myself - by the time I found the egg in the soup, it was overcooked. Otherwise the soup was exactly what I was craving!
