The sauce I added was a little sweet for my taste but the owner made a spicier sauce for me and it was perfect. I would add a picture of my plate but it's gone! They have brisket, pork loin, smoked bologna, ribs, sausages, chicken, catfish po-boys, etc. They have a lot of sides and some desserts available also. They also serve beer and wine. If you're like me and are wondering where to get food that has that extra something that shows in the flavor, go here. You will not be disappointed at all. I loved it!

Anyway... A friend and I stopped in just a few minutes after they opened mid-week and were very disappointed. That an the fact that the young lady we followed in the door was on her first day as a server EVER didn't help. The bbq that we were served look as though it had been pulled out of the refrigerator and put in the steam table just minutes before we ordered. Both of our plates of food were cold and the meat was an unappetizing gray color. My friend's order was screwed up, probably because the new girl had zero idea of what her duties were or what the menu combinations were made up of. We heard her introduce herself to the cashier as the new server and she was turned our way to take the order with no idea of what she was doing, no idea of what was on the menu, etc. Flavor was unimpressive and honestly I was so put off by the whole situation that I didn't even make a stink. I just paid and left the plate of food. I know this place gets some decent reviews and maybe our visit was an anomoly, but I won't be giving them a second chance. 3/18/2016 - Received the comment below from the owner who gave a bit of an explanation as to why things may have gone awry at the time of my visit. I'm happy to see the owner will be more involved and pleased that he has taken the time to drop me a note. If he is willing to reach out to me, then I feel that I can do the same and I will give TBS another shot if I find myself out that way.

So had to do a follow up on the first and second reviews for consistency…read more Dayne's has consistently been on point no matter what I've ordered. Definitely in the my top 5 in the state. Continuing to add a fun variety of tasty sides and execution of those has been legit (lumpia or lumpia Shanghai). A TX BBQ twist on Filipino version of a pork filled egg roll. The pork belly was really good as well, prefer the beef burnt ends personally but really good nonetheless. I was last one in and last one out on this day so hard to grade service as they were cleaning up.

We had the chance to visit it yesterday for a Friday afternoon lunch They were moderately full, but the service was reasonably quick, with the staff being pleasant and helpful. Unlike most barbecue joints, their menu is totally à la carte. While they do run special meats or dishes for a month or so, they do not have a daily special on the menu. There are no 2 or 3 meat plate specials in other words. We ordered 1/2 pound of the turkey, a "Beefy Texan" sausage along with a side of the "Frito pie beans" The turkey was very tasty and moist. It's amazing what happens to Turkey when you cook it in a pound of butter. The sausage was good, not dry not too spicy. Good. With the beans, it was kind of hard to tell just how good they are. This was a serving of pinto beans, topped with shredded cheese and then topped with chili cheese Fritos and jalapeños with creamers. It kind of works. It was very tasty. It was also kind of a surprise as I was not told about the chili cheese part. We also got some brisket to try and again it was very good exactly what you would expect for a good barbecue place in Texas. It was well smoked, it had a delicious bark And was very tender Overall, we found Dayne's to be to be a good BBq restaurant. As a plus it was easy to get to. While we would probably go back if we were in the neighborhood, this would not be one of my favorite places.

I came on a Tuesday and ordered the 2 steaks for $49 and two entrees for $25 with 2 kids meals…read more Kids meals were very generous which is great. The two entrees we ordered for our preteens and it was also a generous portion but they finished it! Two adults ordered the filet steaks. Mine cooked medium was a bit dry. The other cooked medium rare was much juicier. So lean towards medium rare. The shape of the filet was wonky. I'm used to a firm tall filet. I think I saw these are cut in house? Maybe that's why it was wonky. It tasted good tons of grill/smoke flavor which I could have done at home. I don't usually order steak here and I probably won't again. But the sides are great- the green beans have brisket and bacon? Not sure but they were yummy. The baked potato only came with sour cream and cheese. Maybe butter too but it must have melted on the line. No bacon or chives... I was happy to share this restaurant with my family but note to self- try somewhere else next time in town. Ambiance was chill and it's nice that they close at 8:30. Keeps the trouble out. Our server wasn't the best but it looked like other tables had good service.

I do the responsible thing and CALL AHEAD like a civilized human being. "Do y'all have prime rib?" I ask. "Yes," they say--with confidence. With conviction. With what I can only assume was zero verification. So I drive my hungry, hopeful self all the way there, already tasting that juicy, perfect bite in my mind... only to be told: "Oops, no they told you wrong, we dont have prime rib " Oops? That's not a minor inconvenience. That's betrayal. That's psychological damage. That's me sitting there questioning my life choices while staring at a menu I no longer trust. No apology worth mentioning, no effort to make it right--just vibes and disappointment. If you're going to crush someone's dinner dreams, at least have the decency to do it over the phone so I can cry in my car at home instead of your parking lot. 10/10 for building anticipation. 0/10 for delivering anything resembling prime rib. Would I come back? Only if I'm emotionally stronger.

As with any new BBQ place I try, I veer toward any menu option that allows me to try nearly all the meats and here, it was The Tailgater combo where you can choose 3 meats and 2 sides. On to the meats! The Brisket: we asked for cuts from the flat and the point and both were quite good. Moderate smokiness with heavy pepper rub and a light bark made this a solid brisket. The Ribs: similar to the brisket with the heavy pepper rub, also pretty delicious. I would rate this a bit higher than the brisket in terms of what they do best. Overall a solid rib - tasty and smoky, although just short of that perfect tenderness where you bite in and the meat doesn't fight you. The Sausage: the jalapeno-cheddar sausage was probably my favorite here. The casing had a nice pop to it once you bit in and you were greeted with a mild jalapeno heat and an amazing cheesy flavor that may make this one of my favorite links in the area. Very few places get the combination of flavor and heat right on the JC sausages and Tailgaters has done that here. One note - they do have a covered seating area, but many people were getting take out. All in all, some great BBQ here and I was quite happy we made it out to try out such a cool local spot like Tailgaters. We plan to visit again to try out more of their tasty smoked meats and you should as well.

Aside from that, the garlic bread was also really yummy. I wish there were two of those. We also got the Buffalo Chicken wrap, which comes with two wraps cut in half. It was super filling and the fries were nice and crispy. Our waiter suggested to have the wrap with lettuce instead of cabbage and with bacon, so that's what we ordered. Overall, we were really happy with the food and the service!
