So much brisket we could not eat it all

The brisket sandwich was delicious moist and flavorful what pushed it over the top was the butter toasted bread. Bbq places should take a lesson from this place. The sausage was good. Next time we are in town for sure will stop by.

This food truck is off the beaten path a little bit in the Weatherford area heading towards Peaster. I stopped in on a Friday with a buddy and it is truly no frills but had a decent amount in of activity given its location. We ordered the tailgater which is a 3 meat, 2 sides combo and went with brisket (lean and moist), ribs, and jalapeno sausage for the meats and street corn and mac n cheese for the sides. Brisket had a decent bark and was flavorful, and the ribs had a nice rub on them and were flavorful as well but were not the fall off the bone tender I expect from Texas bbq joints. Decent ribs, but nothing special. Jalapeño sausage was good, not too overpowering with the jalapeno flavor so this one is a must try. The Mac n cheese is pretty standard, nice and creamy, it's a good side. I wasn't wild about the street corn, so would opt for a different side next time.

The grilled cheese should be called the meat sweats with the amount of brisket in this thing. Love it! Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Good food, great guys, cool attitude... this food truck has it all. I got the novelty mac & meat (any meat of your choice) on a baseball helmet for $6. Hubby got 1/2 lbs of brisket for $14. We had an enjoyable lunch in the sun and would definitely visit them again next time we're in Weatherford TX.

Best service! Dan the owner goes above and beyond for all his customers. A great supporter of the community as well! Have never had a bad meal here.

I do the responsible thing and CALL AHEAD like a civilized human being. "Do y'all have prime rib?" I ask. "Yes," they say--with confidence. With conviction. With what I can only assume was zero verification. So I drive my hungry, hopeful self all the way there, already tasting that juicy, perfect bite in my mind... only to be told: "Oops, no they told you wrong, we dont have prime rib " Oops? That's not a minor inconvenience. That's betrayal. That's psychological damage. That's me sitting there questioning my life choices while staring at a menu I no longer trust. No apology worth mentioning, no effort to make it right--just vibes and disappointment. If you're going to crush someone's dinner dreams, at least have the decency to do it over the phone so I can cry in my car at home instead of your parking lot. 10/10 for building anticipation. 0/10 for delivering anything resembling prime rib. Would I come back? Only if I'm emotionally stronger.

The two entrees we ordered for our preteens and it was also a generous portion but they finished it! Two adults ordered the filet steaks. Mine cooked medium was a bit dry. The other cooked medium rare was much juicier. So lean towards medium rare. The shape of the filet was wonky. I'm used to a firm tall filet. I think I saw these are cut in house? Maybe that's why it was wonky. It tasted good tons of grill/smoke flavor which I could have done at home. I don't usually order steak here and I probably won't again. But the sides are great- the green beans have brisket and bacon? Not sure but they were yummy. The baked potato only came with sour cream and cheese. Maybe butter too but it must have melted on the line. No bacon or chives... I was happy to share this restaurant with my family but note to self- try somewhere else next time in town. Ambiance was chill and it's nice that they close at 8:30. Keeps the trouble out. Our server wasn't the best but it looked like other tables had good service.

We have a long drive ahead, but were almost disappointed that we were too early for the extensive lunch menu.We really appreciated the kind young woman at the register. She made our stop 5 star.Unfortunately she is headed back to college on Monday. She shared that the owners are fairly new & also own Polo's Mexican Restaurant in Weatherford. We definitely will make Outlaw a breakfast stop on our drive west in the future. I will get a more traditional taco with eggs next time. I will also ask for an extra salsa verde! Perhaps one day we can make hours for Mexican food!

Bakers Ribs was always a great place to get a consistently good meal. We got takeout at least once…read morea week since 2020. But several months ago, something changed. The food was good sometimes, other times not, and the serving container got smaller and the price went up a little. So the consistency was no longer there. However, the staff is friendly, we met the owners and they're nice people, and when the food is good, it's really good, so we've continued to go there. When Heim's opened across the street back in November, we figured BR would really lean into the challenge and become competitive in order to keep their current customers and gain new ones, things like sprucing up the menu at the drive-thru speaker, maybe lowering prices a bit or even better, including a soda or tea with the meals at no extra cost. But no, they didn't seem to do anything to try and compete with Heim's. Btw, we've heard Heim's is not nearly as good as they used to be when they first started and are very expensive, so we've not even tried it yet, and we were being loyal to Bakers Ribs. We've been there a few times in the past month, mostly during lunch hour and there were hardly any cars there ... the lot should have been full at that time of the day. It was surprising and we wondered why there weren't more customers there. Anyway, for the most part, our orders were good, but we still don't like the smaller containers and the fact that drinks aren't included. The point of writing this review is to suggest to the owners that they step up their game a little bit and make it seem like you want to grow the business ... offer some enticements on the meals and the pricing, use the bigger Styrofoam containers again, update your menu screen at the drive-thru to make it look friendly and inviting, and maybe start putting some catchy signs out front on the display to get people's attention. We'll continue to patronize BR and we hope this review is of some help.
