New Renaissance Middle School - This video is from a previous student of this horrendous place that is "so-called" a good school and, it was posted on TikTok!!!

Hello, I am a parent who enrolled my special needs autistic daughter at New Renaissance Middle…read moreSchool when my daughter was transitioning from 5th grade in Elementary School to 6th grade in Middle School because this was her home school based on our zip code, I honestly did not want to put her in the school because I had read other bad reviews but after applying for a re-assignments 3 times and getting denied, I had no choice but to enroll her at this school. I made sure I provided medical documentations to the school to inform them of the multiple health challenges my daughter has besides autism spectrum disorder, she was placed in an Exceptional Student Education class, on last month on February 24th the teacher called me to inform me that my daughter was having an autism crisis, they never told me that they were going to physically restrain her until I arrived to the school and my daughter was already put on hand cuffs, then the ESE specialist handed me a notice of physical restraint for me to sigh as if they informed me before they put her in hand cuffs, my daughter had an Registered Behavioral Tech who attended school with her daily but on that day in particular her teacher decided to separate her from her Registered Behavioral Tech while he had our daughter take a test when I had already spoke to the ESE specialist in the beginning of the school year and ask for my daughter not to be separated from her behavioral tech since she was there to help address behavior because they tried to give her speech and language therapy without her Registered Behavioral Tech going with her. As a result, my daughter was Baker Acted and transported in a police car in hand cuffs as if she was a criminal, when there was no need for that because once my husband and I arrived at the school our daughter was calmed and on her cuffs, my husband was able to walk her out of the school and put her in our vehicle with no problems, that's when the Police officer who works at the school said she needed to get evaluated and off course my husband and I did not refuse thinking our child was going to get evaluated and sent home after evaluation the same day because she (the officer never said it was a baker act initially and what that meant) but when we got to the hospital the social worker explained and said our 12 year old daughter who had never being left with no one else other than her immediate family had to stay for a 72 hours hold in a psychiatric unit and we could not stay with her but just visit her once a day in the evenings that was so traumatic for us all. and we come to find out that it is illegal to baker act a child with autism in Florida. I am writing this review in hopes that this does not happen to any other child with special needs or autism spectrum disorder at this school. My husband and I agreed to withdraw our daughter from this school because her and all our family experienced such trauma from this event and needless to say we did not trust the school anymore.

Everything is at your fingertips from malls to restaurants and everything else in between. I have this ongoing joke that there's nothing I don't need that I can't find within 3 miles of my house. The city has great festivals and events all the time. I really like the Veteran's Day ceremony, 4th of July and Easter egg hunt. The staff are always professional and friendly. Both of my children grew up in the schools here. They started in the City of Pembroke Pines pre-school then went through elementary, middle and high school here. I like the public schools better than Charter. Everyone has their opinion. For me it creates a better bond with children that live in our neighborhood. If you are new to the area then you must try the Mayor's Cafe on Taft Street. It is owned by the Mayor of the city and the food is fabulous! If you are looking for a great place to live, this is it!

My daughter has been attending this school for 4 years now. This school is K-8. I must admit it is…read more10 steps above the public school sector. Being that this is a charter school they still follow standard public school guidelines. There is a lottery system to get in. But once your in, all your children have priority. They recently built a middle/high school on Sheridan and 207th (Everglades... basically). The school is a uniform enforced facility. A great mix of all race, nationality, and backgrounds. I love this diversity for my daughter. The staff is amazing and teachers that my daughter has had, have been outstanding except for that one or two. . It's expected anywhere. Haven't heard of a single fight or bullying incident since she started and I'm very involved. So I have a peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. There is great communication between parents and teachers if you put forth the effort. I email teachers weekly or biweekly and get immediate responses. They function off PowerSchool so I can be sure to know grades, assignments or any missing work.each teacher has their own website with the weekly agenda on there. So I am able to see what she is learning for the week. I also like that parents are to do 20 hour of community service towards the school yearly in order for your child to keep their seat. This holds parents accountable for participation and involvement. It makes a difference in your kids education. This school is had the best curriculum that includes you normalized English, Science, Math, Social Studies, but I love that it offers PE, Chess (critical thinking), Spanish, Art and Music. The extracurricular programs that are being taken out of school but equally as important. The Afterschool programs for elementary and middle are endless. From Cooking class, chess club, book club, tv production, acting, Zumba, IT, drawing just to name a few. And each semester they can switch clubs to try something new. They have your middle school sports for each gender, i.e. Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, track, flag football, and basketball. I don't believe they have softball. This is a no homework school since the kids have an extra hour of school, but with the amount of projects, reading, studying and extra practice given, it's just as good if not better than homework. This is an A+ school and you can really see it. The school is cleanliness and airy. Only suggestion is a better drop off/pick up system. It takes forever to get through the car loop. Lastly, there is a sibling link. If you have a child in middle school and who gets out later (3:15) then the child in elementary (2:15) they offer free one hour daycare so you can get your children all at the same time so you won't have to make 2 trips or sit around waiting. . I wrote enough, That's all folks. Thank me later!

My son has been attending since he was just 8 months old, and now at 4 years old, he literally cries when I mention that he'll soon be transitioning to kindergarten--that alone speaks volumes about the love and care he's received there. My daughter has also been there since she was 5 months old, and she wakes up excited every single day, happy to go to school. The teachers are absolutely amazing--strong, nurturing, and genuinely caring. They don't just "watch" your children; they truly teach and guide them through every stage of development--from crawling to walking, running, speaking, and learning essential values like love, respect, and good manners. As a parent, peace of mind is everything, and this is a place where you can truly trust them with your eyes closed. On top of that, they are very affordable compared to other daycare centers in the area, which makes the experience even more exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend Precious Year Christian Learning Center to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching environment for their children. It's more than a daycare--it's a second home.
