Everything is at your fingertips from malls to restaurants and everything else in between. I have this ongoing joke that there's nothing I don't need that I can't find within 3 miles of my house. The city has great festivals and events all the time. I really like the Veteran's Day ceremony, 4th of July and Easter egg hunt. The staff are always professional and friendly. Both of my children grew up in the schools here. They started in the City of Pembroke Pines pre-school then went through elementary, middle and high school here. I like the public schools better than Charter. Everyone has their opinion. For me it creates a better bond with children that live in our neighborhood. If you are new to the area then you must try the Mayor's Cafe on Taft Street. It is owned by the Mayor of the city and the food is fabulous! If you are looking for a great place to live, this is it!

The enrollment process was like none we had ever experienced before. They offered us an observation where our son went to the classroom for the teacher to get an understanding of his current level of functioning then we also had an opportunity to speak with a current parent of another student who was very helpful. The teacher is amazing and we saw the difference in our son at home. He came home showing us that he learned how to peel an orange himself and he became more independent overall. The only reason we decided to leave is thw distance. We live in Dania Beach and with the traffic and school zones in the morning, too much time was being taken for traveling. Otherwise, we would happily keep our son enrolled. We love Ms. Salma and her entire staff who are highly professional.

We watched in the lobby camera as she got in line to walk from one room to the next, went to her spot in circle time, and sat/participated as needed. Its not just her, the other kids behave the same and that tells you it's not just her or an accident. The school has an effective system that works. She comes home repeating alphabet songs english and spanish. During visits she takes us around to different stations. MILA does a fantastic job of giving latitude to the kids interests while providing boundaries and structure. 10/10 would recommend.

The school truly nurtures independence, curiosity, and confidence in its students. Over the years we've watched Jack grow not only academically but also personally, developing strong communication skills, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning. One of the most special opportunities recently was his participation in the MMUN (Montessori Model United Nations) conference in New York. Seeing students represent their schools and countries on an international stage at such a young age speaks volumes about the quality of education and encouragement they receive at Montessori Institute of Broward. The leadership at the school is exceptional. Ms. E, the principal, creates a warm, supportive environment where students feel valued and inspired. She truly leads with heart and vision. Jack's Grade 4 teacher, Ms. Kay, has also been outstanding--patient, dedicated, and deeply invested in her students' growth. She challenges them academically while also nurturing their confidence and character. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a thoughtful and inspiring school community. Montessori Institute of Broward has played a huge role in shaping Jack into the curious, confident young person he is becoming. Luke aged 5 is also thriving at MIB and i cant wait to see how he progresses.

The amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset allows our daughters strive. After completion of her daycare through pre-k studies at PWA, our oldest daughter just won student of the month award amongst her 1st grade class in her new school. The staff anchored by principal Mrs Terri is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we're very thankful to her and the whole team for all the great job.

From yoga to music class, letter sounds or climbing the rock wall outside, she is engaged and continually learning throughout her day. It's not just me who finds PWA to be an outstanding educationally centered preschool. My friend, an elementary teacher in the area, says that children who attended PWA come into her class ready and prepared for kindergarten. In addition to the exceptional learning environment, PWA goes the extra mile to promote a clean and healthy environment. The school is very clean and all children wash their hands when they arrive at school and throughout the day. My daughter likes the food and I like the meal choices/healthy snacks. All of my daughter's teachers have been warm, organized and responsive. I can see what my daughter is learning using the school's communication app. This is a huge plus for me - her teacher uploads pictures throughout the day, we can chat and share documents digitally. My daughter wakes up and wants us to take her to school (even on the weekends). As a working mom, it's such a blessing to find a preschool that not only teaches my child but also genuinely cares about her. Thank you PWA for all you do.

Being that this is a charter school they still follow standard public school guidelines. There is a lottery system to get in. But once your in, all your children have priority. They recently built a middle/high school on Sheridan and 207th (Everglades... basically). The school is a uniform enforced facility. A great mix of all race, nationality, and backgrounds. I love this diversity for my daughter. The staff is amazing and teachers that my daughter has had, have been outstanding except for that one or two. . It's expected anywhere. Haven't heard of a single fight or bullying incident since she started and I'm very involved. So I have a peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. There is great communication between parents and teachers if you put forth the effort. I email teachers weekly or biweekly and get immediate responses. They function off PowerSchool so I can be sure to know grades, assignments or any missing work.each teacher has their own website with the weekly agenda on there. So I am able to see what she is learning for the week. I also like that parents are to do 20 hour of community service towards the school yearly in order for your child to keep their seat. This holds parents accountable for participation and involvement. It makes a difference in your kids education. This school is had the best curriculum that includes you normalized English, Science, Math, Social Studies, but I love that it offers PE, Chess (critical thinking), Spanish, Art and Music. The extracurricular programs that are being taken out of school but equally as important. The Afterschool programs for elementary and middle are endless. From Cooking class, chess club, book club, tv production, acting, Zumba, IT, drawing just to name a few. And each semester they can switch clubs to try something new. They have your middle school sports for each gender, i.e. Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, track, flag football, and basketball. I don't believe they have softball. This is a no homework school since the kids have an extra hour of school, but with the amount of projects, reading, studying and extra practice given, it's just as good if not better than homework. This is an A+ school and you can really see it. The school is cleanliness and airy. Only suggestion is a better drop off/pick up system. It takes forever to get through the car loop. Lastly, there is a sibling link. If you have a child in middle school and who gets out later (3:15) then the child in elementary (2:15) they offer free one hour daycare so you can get your children all at the same time so you won't have to make 2 trips or sit around waiting. .
