Camp in West Palm:…read more Disappointing experience -- lack of support and communication Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Camp Lingua for camps, school breaks, or similar programs, particularly for parents of children who may need additional structure, guidance, or support navigating social situations. My son attended only two Fridays. During the second Friday, he had a conflict involving a couple of other children, including children he considered friends. Rather than giving him an opportunity to understand boundaries, learn from the incident, and demonstrate that he could adjust his behavior after receiving guidance, the camp decided to exclude him before his third Friday. Children need to be taught how to navigate disagreements, communicate appropriately, and resolve conflicts. That requires clear expectations, consistent supervision, and counselors who are trained to guide children through these situations. In our experience, the camp did not demonstrate the level of structure, conflict resolution, or individualized support that I would expect from a program working with children. I was also deeply disappointed by the director's communication with us as parents. I expected a more constructive, professional, and collaborative approach, focused on understanding what happened and helping the child improve. Instead, the experience left us feeling that there was little willingness to work toward a resolution or give our son a fair opportunity to learn from the situation. My concern is not that children should never face consequences. It is that consequences should be accompanied by guidance, clear boundaries, and a reasonable opportunity to improve, especially when a child is still learning to navigate social dynamics. Based on our experience, I would encourage parents to ask detailed questions about staff training, supervision, conflict resolution, and how the camp accommodates children who may need additional structure. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect the inclusive, supportive environment we had hoped to find.

There is an extreeme lack of adult supervision and I am shocked at the reports my child brings home and the defense given by the limited staff. My child is an honor roll student with numerous academic, leadership, and citizenship awards. Yet in this environment he does not seem to be safe from bullying situations, not only verbal but physical. My child comes home with physical injuries more than once a week that the staff cant seem to control. They constantly brush it off as "child play", I am sorry but physical assault against my child multiple times per week IS NOT CHILD PLAY. If you raise your child with good morals DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS ORGANIZATION! It is run by delinquents, I have seen first hand. When I pick my child up early and they are in outdoor play there is NEVER an adult in sight! This is a flawed, unsafe environment for children and when you bring it to the attention of the head staff they get defensive rather than finding solutions. Having minors as councilors works when they are upstanding students that have earned the position. That is not what is present here. There are way too many teenagers( who have not earned, as privilege the position of being counselors) and way too few adults, it is chaos! sooner than later there is going to be a serious safety incident if it is not addressed.

She is now 16 and she has had a relationship with YAA from the first time she attended a bithday party at 3 to this summer when she was a volunteer for summer camp, specialty camp. She has attended Saturday digital camps, specialty camp (until she aged out) and full time camp. We have watched the museum struggle during Covid when they were forced to find a new location. Under the leadership of their new CEO, we have witnessed such resilience. My daughter has participated in 3 recycling fashion shows, participated in their festival of the arts (where kids can share & sell their art), and so far for her high school career she has been a volunteer for summer camp. Through her participation in the Recycling Fashion Show she has been able to be part of an exhibition at Art Serve - sharing the display space with adult artists. She was able to paint a guitar to be auctioned for a large fundraiser for the Ann Storck center and she has been able to utilize 2 scholarships through the Florida Fashion Institue to enhance her career aspirations. My daughter has met amazing mentors and has had a positive experience at Young at Art. She has seen the museum grow and continue to serve to community even with facing challenges. Young at Art has meant a lot to our family. Yes, they look smaller but what they have provided to the community and our family is HUGE!

What a wonderful museum for children to explore, create, and learn! Young At Art is an immersive,…read morehands-on museum with a variety of interactive exhibits, art activities, and creative play spaces that encourage learning through imagination and exploration. The museum is reasonably priced and a great size. While it's not huge, there's plenty to keep children engaged. We've been visiting every two to three months for the past two years, and it's been fun seeing some of the recent upgrades they've made. The space is open and thoughtfully divided into different themed areas. Kids can enjoy a slide, a music and movement section, a grocery store and kitchen play area, a large swing, a few simple video games, painting stations, and several daily craft activities. They've also recently added a pretend garden where children can "plant" flowers, which is such a cute interactive feature. There are playful activities scattered throughout the museum, so there's always something new to discover. Everything is designed to encourage creativity, hands-on learning, and imaginative play. My four-year-old nephew absolutely loves coming here, and we've been bringing him since he was two years old. It's one of our favorite local outings. One thing I also appreciate is that it never feels overly crowded, although we usually visit during the week. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and they're especially helpful in the craft areas, where they're always encouraging and willing to assist the kids with their projects. Overall, I highly recommend Young At Art for families with young children. It's a fun, creative, and educational experience that keeps us coming back again and again.
