I can't say enough great things about RobyArtsyStudio or Robyn (the owner). We had my daughter's 8th birthday party at her studio. It was a glow-in-the-dark canvas painting party. It was a hit!!! All the kids and parents loved it and thought it was a great idea. Several parents were even interested in art classes in the future. Robyn was in close contact with me and answered all questions weeks leading up to the birthday party. Her party package even provided goodie bags for the kids and more! I opted out of using the table linen, plates, and utensils because I wanted to stick with my theme, but those can be provided as well. She let me come early to set up and let us stay as long as we needed to clean up. She was also very patient and let the kids mingle, eat, and more. The party wasn't rushed at all. More like 2.5 stars! I honestly had some high expectations based on my previous experiences at painting while you drink classes! My favorite is the one in Plantation, but I was invited with a group for a friend's bday celebration to this location. It is a little hard to find, i think they should put some sort of signage downstairs somewhere in the plaza so you know to look for it upstairs. There is an art camp sign, which led us to it! The place is set up well, and seating was easy. The aprons could be a little longer- most are kid sized, which doesn't provide a lot of protection from the paint! If you're lucky, you can grab a larger one, but better be fast as there are only a handful! The instructor was kind of boring- straight to the point, not a lot of personality or willingness to help. He ask if anyone wanted help, we said yes, but he just walked by and said "good job". I wouldn't be returning, although it was an okay time! read more

I've always wanted to try something like this. There are so many locations and different types of places. This one was a little hard to find (it doesn't stick out from the parking lot.) But once you do find it, it is such an incredible experience. It's a bit of an oxy moron but it's stressful yet calming. You're scared to start out but once you do you wanna keep going. (The drinks helped calm the nerves too) They go step by step and make it easy. Something you think looks hard, they help and to make it easy. One line at a time. Our instructor went around encouraging and helping those in need. She was even able to "erase" a mistake a friend had made. In the end you're amazed at your creation and proud. Highly recommended. The teacher was really talented and while we were slowly painting our glasses she literally painted a masterpiece! It was sooooo pretty. I went with my daughter to meet her school friend and her mom for a "play date" one afternoon. The location was great for me because it was close to my home. when I walked in, there was a birthday party finishing. Afterwards we literally had the whole place to ourselves just me my daughter my daughters friend and her mom. The lady asked me if I was going to paint I told her no just my daughter, she then told me there was a $15 seating fee. Really?!!! I can understand if the whole place was slammed and instead of losing out on $35 they would need to charge me something (which I still think is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!). I did tell her that was absurd and she proceeded to tell me.. well you can pay the $35 and paint or you will need to leave and pick up your daughter after the class was over. I was NOT going to leave my 5 year old alone ANYWHERE!!! so not to make a scene in front of the mom or the girls I reluctantly paid, had it just been me and my daughter I would of turned around and left and not have given them a penny. So I will most definitely not be returning to this place. I will take my daughter next time to painting with a twist where i have been there before and not having to pay a seating fee bc I chose not to paint! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Just finished hosting a 40th birthday party there for my best friend. The manager, Alex Spielberg, made our experience miserable from start to finish. Never have I (a paying customer) been treated with such dishonesty and disrespect by someone I am doing business with. The lies and backtracking by this man are deplorable. Went to Painting Fiesta to celebrate a friend's birthday. The location was a little difficult to find for those in our party who did not know it was upstairs in a shopping center. The instructors were flexible with the start time of the class to wait for our party which was nice. The class was average. Our instructor was to the point... Went their for my Moms 50th birthday party and we had a great time!!! At first I was a little skeptical because I'm big on reviews a lot of the previous reviews were mixed about this location but let me tell you! We had a ball! Max our painting instructor was so cool and down to earth often throwing a lot of funny jokes in between his instructions making it such an enjoyable and relaxing experience! He is patient and kind and a great teacher! This has surpassed my expectations and I will definitely be coming back very soon! Several close friends and family members have participated and highly recommended this painting experience; therefore, while wanting to gift my boyfriend with a fun and different birthday experience, I thought to give A Painting Fiesta a try. We were NOT disappointed!!! Although I do not draw nor paint...notice I didn't use the word, cannot, and that is only because I found out within a half hour of being there, that absolutely anyone CAN paint at A Painting Fiesta! The male art instructor was encouraging, affirming, and beyond patient. His assistant was also amazing at coming over and aiding with refreshing our paint, water bucket, and even with perfecting our beautiful masterpieces (LOL)! The ambiance was excellent...even the playlist was one that we all complimented. In the end, we had a wonderful time and had it not been for the fact that we did not take our drinks and snacks because I had been told over the phone that no glass bottles nor glassware was allowed there, our total experience would have been superb! Yet when we arrived, we soon saw other participants with their wine bottles, snacks and glassware; therefore, that was naturally discouraging. Laying out at the Fort Lauderdale beach with my best friend and fiancé (keep in mind, he hates artsy stuff), trying to decide what to do today. We decided to look on Yelp to see what activity we could do on a Monday night, so we found "Painting Fiesta" at Weston. I called in to make sure there were 3 available spots before purchasing tickets on their website. The owner was super friendly and professional, she told us that unfortunately there wasn't a class scheduled but she would find an instructor for just our group if we wanted to come. You can imagine how excited we were since it's a rare occasion to find a painting class that would just be us 3. When we arrived, we found out that the instructor was actually the owner that I spoke to on the phone. She told me that the instructor that was suppose to be scheduled, bailed. But she wasn't going to bail on us, we were super grateful for it! She was super nice and made the painting experience really fun and entertaining. Her name is Robyn! You must take her class!!! Unfortunately the owners top priority is money. I'm all for supporting small businesses in our community, however, not crooks. They have a bad business practice in place - for a small private party of 10 people the cost is $250 - reasonable. If one person does not show, the price increases to $350 for the same party. It is in their contract, clearly stated. The rationale being, each person (body) in attendance is a opportunity for positive free advertising of their business. What they fail to recognize is their bad business practice equals 9 unhappy customers. So 1 additional happy customer or 9 cranky customers...I guess they aren't as good in math as they thought! read more

We attended the Grand Reopening of this Weston location and could not have been happier with the experience. I hadn't been to this location previously, and believe it is under new management. The staff and instructor were very friendly and welcoming. We were able to wait for our entire party to arrive and given some time to settle in and socialize before starting. The instructor was very relaxed, she directed our painting efforts patiently, as we occasionally were distracted by conversation, refilling our cups, and munching on snack foods. She was encouraging and willing to help us repair any errant brushstrokes that resulted from a cross reach for the caramel corn. There were also breaks given for paint drying, chit-chat, and trips to the restroom. The class pace was easy to keep up with for those of us who are new to painting. The location was bright and tidy. I would definitely recommend. This is a great group outing. read more

What a shame. One friend was home sick so out party understood we would now be paying $35 per person instead of $25 per person since we didn't meet the minimum of 10 people. Fine that's your policy things happen. What we didn't agree with is we were each charged the extra $10 and still had to pay for the missing member. In other words the missing person who would've cost $25 ended up costing the group $10 each 10x9=$90 +$35. So we paid $125 to use one less canvas and less paint. The policy was misleading. The poor instructor even agrees with us and said it was a problem. She went into another room to call the owner who said that was there policy and wouldn't bother to talk to us. The dad part was we offered to pay at the start of the class and the girl, knowing we were missing one member who was sick and admittedly knowing this had been a problem for her before, told us to wait to pay until the end. We were intentionally mislead and that's poor business practice for sure. How easy would it have been to call someone to show up while we worked and have them pay $25 instead of being charged that astronomical fee. Shame on them. Especially when we told them we were all teachers and would ensure that we spread the word to other teachers, students and families to take their business elsewhere. read more
