Than you Jennifer and Lauren! This is such a dope and interactive concept. I enjoyed tonight mixology class I came in as an amateur and left a bartender lol. Our group was so fun, and had a few guest that were celebrating their birthday. This spot is great for any occasion. We had the opportunity to make three signature drinks. We made the Kiwi Martini, mango margarita and blue Hawaiian for $67 each. Trust me, no alcohol was spared. You get to pour from a bottle and instructions and measurement were clear. Also most of the ingredients were already measured out. The only thing missing was finger foods to go along with the cocktails. Overall we all I Enjoyed my night. We had music playing the background which added to the fun. I'll definitely be back to try one of their other experiences. Be sure to pay attention during the class as you have opportunities to win prizes at the end.

    Body butter and prosecco!

This was my 3rd visit to Seven Layer. I made 2 wonderfully scented candles before. This visit I had a great time making perfume and body butter! I love the custom fragrance I created! Serg and Jen were the best! They were very attentive and helpful! The complimentary prosecco was the cherry on top! I highly recommend Seven Layer! You can relax and create something beautiful!

This black woman owned studio is helping you unleash your creativity through painting, fluid art, candle making, and even mixology classes. The price per sculpture varies by size and you select it during your booking. The amazing instructors will guide you through the process from start to finish and help you achieve your vision, and sharing different techniques to give your piece a one of a kind look. All this while sipping on your choice of a delicious cocktail or cocktail that's included in your class. This mocktail version of the signature seven layer is just as sweet as it is pretty. Once your piece is complete you can return for pick up and you can even add a shiny gloss finish (for an additional $5) I highly enjoyed every part of my 7 layer experience and I know you will too!

I WILL be back for the next season. These drinks were absolutely amazing and the staff was so friendly and made sure we had a fun time while actually learning some things to take home. We talked about the choice of glass and the difference between liquor and liqueur. Overall a 10/10 experience and I can't wait to come back for the candle making class

My experience was very enjoyable I came on a Thursday with an appointment for the candle making. It wasn't full only three people including me which was fine by me. I had a strawberry margarita which was super tasty there was music and the candle instructor was very sweet and educational about the candle making. There are more glass looking candle bases that are additional $5 they also do fluid art paint , and soon perfumes/colognes! It was a really easy process super fun, you can't light the candle for two weeks due to it being 100% organic . There were so many scents! And we had the option to put herbs, dried rose petals and gold or silver flakes. Loved my candle!

Lauren was our instructor for the evening. she was very attentive and knowledgeable . we had an appt at 7 and she started right on time . we were pleasantly greeted and offered complimentary margaritas (i think mojitos were an option as well) . we were guided step by step on how to make our candles . while they were setting , we chatted a bit with the host and took photos in their photo booth . after they set , she gave us details on how to care for our candle . she also advised us other offerings they have . i plan to come back later this year for a few workshops they're hosting

Such a fun experience in Fort Lauderdale. This place offers different types of classes for all ages but I went for a mixology class. We were greeted as we walked in, the atmosphere is bright and inviting. Our mixologist Jennifer was supper knowledgeable and walked us through each drink and offered some ideas of variation. You get to make three drinks (which change so you can go back multiple times and not so the same thing) . In between each one we got to enjoy our creations. They came out so delicious. Even flavors I don't normally drink were super well balanced. This will definitely be a place I'll have to come back again!

My family surprised me with a private candle making class for my birthday and I had the most wonderful time! You pick out the container the wax will go into, as well as the scent (you can pick up to three) to make it your own... I chose lavender and clean cotton. Not to mention, the wax is 100% soy. The people that work there are friendly and SO very kind! Our class even included drinks that rival the tastiness of any fancy bar. Just delicious! The owner even surprised me with a cake (the hole is from the sparkler) to make my birthday even that much more special. So... anytime you want to do something different and fun, please give this new business a try! Thank you for making my birthday so special, Seven Layer. *Please keep in mind, the candles shown in the pictures are not fully dry*

I had a blast there celebrating my friend's birthday! The ladies were nice and friendly. It always feel good to support a black owned woman business! We were served welcome drinks and had time to eat some food that the birthday girl provided. After that we got to make our candles. We were able to choose the scents, decorations that went in the candle (glitter, lavender, candle holder and something else). After that we made to cocktails and they were accommodating to me to adjust some of the items of the recipe to make mocktails. I would definitely come here again!

beautiful place, great customer service. truly enjoyed my experience. get your best squirrel friends and live life likes it's your moment to rejoice! This experience encouraged me to make my own candles and expound on such a great freeing hobby. The drinks, music and 360 camera kept me and my girls feeling like we were on a vacation! It's a very inclusive and intimate experience, you wouldn't want to miss!!

Coolest place and vibe to make candles, drinks, fluid art and more Had so much fun today and the drinks are so delicious My candle smells sooooooooo goood! Going back for the fluid art class

If you are looking for an art studio space to rent, they have them! I'm not an artist but the studios appear really spacious and inviting. We have attended a open gallery night and got to walk through all of the incredible artists studios while they were showcasing their work. It was a truly lovely event and I can't wait for the next one! Not ready to commit to renting a space but would love somewhere to create? They have studio memberships where you are able to utilize the equipment 24hrs a day. My favorite part of this art center are their classes. I have taken two beginner wheel throwing classes and they were so fun, I'm already signed up for another one! With the beginner wheel throwing class you get two hours of guided wheel throwing and enough clay to create two different pieces. After the class they will let your pieces fully dry out and then fire them in the kiln. After the pieces are fired you are able to come back and paint your own pieces by hand for another small fee or they will use one of three house glazes in blue, while, or black. My pieces turned out beautiful and I love that they are food safe and can even go in the dishwasher! There's a Sip n' Spin class hosted on Saturdays where you get to create and drink wine! Another great option for classes is the 4 week series if you'd like to be studio regularly and learn more complex techniques. If pottery isn't your thing they offer a mosaic class where you can create a custom mosaic piece. If you have ever wanted to try an art class, this is your spot! Currently (5/31/23) they have many classes on Groupon for a discounted price! I cannot recommend this great little studio enough.

I don't even know how Tom does what he does, but he manages to coax the best out of every student. I've been going for three years now. I had never taken painting lessons before. I'm always surprised by how good my paintings look. My classmates have all created really excellent work. Some of my fellow students are art teachers. Some are art students putting together portfolios. Most of us are just hobbyists. The classes are de-stressing and fun. They always go too fast, even though they are 3 hours. I highly recommend these classes for anyone who has ever wanted to paint. I can't speak for the other classes, but there other types of art taught like sculpture and fashion design. The work I've seen from those students is really terrific too. I'm no Monet, but I've included three photos of my work so you can see what to expect in the way of results. I had never done an oil painting in my life before joining the class. I had never had a painting lesson since 8th grade. If I can do it, you can do it.

They have literally everything that you need - all tools and materials, even gloves and band-aids for those beginner blisters and free water for your studio time. Blacksmithing itself is definitely way harder than I anticipated, but with their help I was able to make my first piece and I'm so proud of it. They offer tons of classes (blacksmithing and other crafts like leatherwork and welding), as well as studio time along with your sessions to come back and practice. I had a little trouble with the heat so I think I'll need to wait until things cool down again to give blacksmithing another try, but I can't wait to come back and try knife-making! If you're like me and have been itching to try those traditional Ren Faire crafts, be sure to check this place out!

FIVE STARS. FIVE FLAMES. FIVE REASONS TO CANCEL YOUR BORING LIFE…read more Let's be clear. Pompano Beach is known for sunshine, ocean breeze, retirees on bicycles... and now apparently, a full-blown cathedral of fire and skill hiding in plain sight. The Guild is not a "cute workshop." It's not Pinterest. It's not "sip and glue." It's heat. Steel. Sparks. Sweat. Focus. This Valentine's Day, I didn't take Julia to dinner. I didn't buy flowers that would wilt faster than a South Florida ice cube. I brought her here. Six hours. Not a tourist demo. Not a 90-minute novelty class. Six hours in front of a forge forging a heart-shaped candle holder with our own hands. Hammer by hammer. Reheat. Adjust. Strike. Repeat. Learning that steel has rules--and if you ignore them, it punishes you. And here's what makes The Guild different: They don't just teach blacksmithing. They teach skills. Real skills. The kind that make your brain fire differently. The kind that remind you you're capable of more than scrolling and complaining about traffic. Under master instruction from real working craftsmen--not influencers, not hobbyists, not YouTube theorists--you feel the weight of competence in the room. Calm. Precise. Zero fluff. This place teaches: * Blacksmithing * Metalwork * Practical craftsmanship * Discipline * Patience * Teamwork * How not to panic when something is literally glowing red In a world built on disposable nonsense, The Guild builds permanence. You leave tired in the best way. You leave with calluses. You leave with something you made that will outlive your streaming subscriptions. And here's the wild part: You find your tribe. The slightly unhinged, joy-filled, skill-hungry humans who think "let's hit hot steel with hammers" is a perfect date night. Five stars isn't enough. This is five roaring forges and a standing ovation. If you're in South Florida and you want more than beaches and brunch-- If you want to actually learn something-- If you want a date night that doesn't involve a waiter explaining foam-- Go to The Guild. Hit the steel. And remember you're not fragile.
