The curriculum is structured around the concept of problem based learning which allows students to explore topics in depth and emphasizes critical, creative, analytic, and independent thinking. The arts and technology are woven into the curriculum to ensure that students develop the 21st Century skills. The teaching staff is highly qualified and works closely with students to develop independent learners who are prepared for the future.

Each student is well known by their teachers & celebrated, encouraged & dare I say, loved? Valued? It is truly a unique place. In addition to that rarity, the school is FUN! They find ways to teach that are creative & engage kids because they are having a good time. This is not your average education but rather a living breathing education-full of excitement. For example, chemistry may be taught via cooking and biology through a mystery that needs to solved. The headmaster is a graduate of Waldorf (Steiner) school & has brought the excellence of that education to her program. You won't find ANYTHING else like this in South Florida. I can't think of many schools where a child is so well cared for emotionally as well as academically. If you are lucky enough to stumble upon this little gem in South Florida you won't want to pass it up. Unconventional? Yes. However, it WORKS. The children are receiving an A+++ education in an alternative setting with amazing educators who see their 'job' as a calling & are head and shoulders above other educators. Give it a try--they welcome any child to come for a day or two visit so that they can see first hand what it is all about. Your child will come home raving & will actually be EXCITED about a SCHOOL! Meet with the headmaster and see for yourself what an elegant, caring, extremely intelligent, strong and capable woman she is. I can say that I feel blessed that my son has the chance to attend this school. I could go on and on but I suggest that you check it out for yourself. Also, it is a private school and education of this quality cost money. What better investment is there though really? However, I should mention that that do have tuition assistance and will also help you look for any scholarships that you may qualify for so, don't let the fact that you have to pay tuition deter you from at least checking it out. Where there is a will there is a way. If every child were given a healthy place to grow and learn like this, the world would be a much better place. Heck! We should ALL be seen, honored and celebrated the way students are at this school! It is located in the Jewish Community Center however, it is NOT a religious school BUT it IS a 'spiritual' school in that the students are taught to care for one another, the greater community, the planet and environment and THEMSELVES. This being said, it is NOT some 'Hippy' school. It is a serious program and a lot is offered and expected from the students academically. I would say the classes are more akin to an undergraduate program at a good university. They are certainly far more challenging than a regular high school-private or public. The students are expected to research & write at a college level (They are WELL taught and guided to be able to do so). They all take Latin, do community service as well as internships in fields of their own interest. They research utilizing real scientific publications and are taught to properly use them. This is an exceptional college preparatory program. Upon graduation they should be able to coast on auto-pilot through an undergraduate degree. There is also a STRONG sense of community. No high school 'Clicks'. No one's excluded, there is NO bullying or teasing-PERIOD. All of these 'details' are paid close attention to by the staff. I could go on and on but , see for yourself. The headmaster's name is Wendy Weiner and she welcomes visitors. Mrs. Weiner is an exceptional human being. When she felt that South Florida was lacking an acceptable school for her two lovely daughters to attend--she OPENED her own school! Wow. That alone speaks volumes about her but she is also a warm, kind woman. She's strong and capable in a way that inspires others just through her presence. Her children are both amazing young women and demonstrate what an awe-inspiring mother Wendy is. Her eldest daughter is now attending college where she is a member of a co-ed 'Community Service' Fraternity. Clearly she is following in her parents footsteps and giving back to others. Mr. Weiner has also played an essential part in bringing Conservatory Prep to fruition. He is a warmhearted, friendly and earnest man. He works with sincerity and I swear the man has stealth skills! His modesty and humble way of keeping all the wheels in motion is admirable. A husband and wife team adds to the feeling of community that is rarely found anymore and set's a positive example for the children of a loving, intact marriage. Every detail in this tiny school has been considered and achieved. The students, faculty and parents/guardians form a community that touches my heart and feels more like an extended family than simply an institution of learning. "They're not the best at what they do, they're the ONLY ones that do what they do." ~Bill Graham

Being that this is a charter school they still follow standard public school guidelines. There is a lottery system to get in. But once your in, all your children have priority. They recently built a middle/high school on Sheridan and 207th (Everglades... basically). The school is a uniform enforced facility. A great mix of all race, nationality, and backgrounds. I love this diversity for my daughter. The staff is amazing and teachers that my daughter has had, have been outstanding except for that one or two. . It's expected anywhere. Haven't heard of a single fight or bullying incident since she started and I'm very involved. So I have a peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. There is great communication between parents and teachers if you put forth the effort. I email teachers weekly or biweekly and get immediate responses. They function off PowerSchool so I can be sure to know grades, assignments or any missing work.each teacher has their own website with the weekly agenda on there. So I am able to see what she is learning for the week. I also like that parents are to do 20 hour of community service towards the school yearly in order for your child to keep their seat. This holds parents accountable for participation and involvement. It makes a difference in your kids education. This school is had the best curriculum that includes you normalized English, Science, Math, Social Studies, but I love that it offers PE, Chess (critical thinking), Spanish, Art and Music. The extracurricular programs that are being taken out of school but equally as important. The Afterschool programs for elementary and middle are endless. From Cooking class, chess club, book club, tv production, acting, Zumba, IT, drawing just to name a few. And each semester they can switch clubs to try something new. They have your middle school sports for each gender, i.e. Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, track, flag football, and basketball. I don't believe they have softball. This is a no homework school since the kids have an extra hour of school, but with the amount of projects, reading, studying and extra practice given, it's just as good if not better than homework. This is an A+ school and you can really see it. The school is cleanliness and airy. Only suggestion is a better drop off/pick up system. It takes forever to get through the car loop. Lastly, there is a sibling link. If you have a child in middle school and who gets out later (3:15) then the child in elementary (2:15) they offer free one hour daycare so you can get your children all at the same time so you won't have to make 2 trips or sit around waiting. . I wrote enough, That's all folks. Thank me later!

Can't wait for the school year to end so I can remove my daughter and never return! The principal or assist principal does not respond to emails regarding concerns. They flat out ignored me and never responded yet the principal had the nerve to call me (days after she ignored my concerning email) about a uniform bottom on the day of FAST testing. Would not recommend. There's a reason there's only a very few blacks here, wish i would have taken heed sooner.
