The school truly nurtures independence, curiosity, and confidence in its students. Over the years we've watched Jack grow not only academically but also personally, developing strong communication skills, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning. One of the most special opportunities recently was his participation in the MMUN (Montessori Model United Nations) conference in New York. Seeing students represent their schools and countries on an international stage at such a young age speaks volumes about the quality of education and encouragement they receive at Montessori Institute of Broward. The leadership at the school is exceptional. Ms. E, the principal, creates a warm, supportive environment where students feel valued and inspired. She truly leads with heart and vision. Jack's Grade 4 teacher, Ms. Kay, has also been outstanding--patient, dedicated, and deeply invested in her students' growth. She challenges them academically while also nurturing their confidence and character. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a thoughtful and inspiring school community. Montessori Institute of Broward has played a huge role in shaping Jack into the curious, confident young person he is becoming. Luke aged 5 is also thriving at MIB and i cant wait to see how he progresses.

We have been fortunate to have experienced many great teachers throughout the years in both Parrot and Otter rooms and will continue with the school until sixth grade (or more if they open a middle school). Would highly recommend!

Our kids have been there for 2 years and their classroom is more multicultural than their last private school. They both have kids of many diverse nationalities in their classrooms, including Muslim, Indian, African American, Jamaican... they are not racist at all. The teachers are also very diverse. The school teaches about all the holidays and their entire motto has to do with peace and loving one another. They say it daily during their morning song. I love this school and I am so happy that our children learn to respect others and get along with everyone. There is no bullying here because it is not tolerated. This school is the only Montessori that I know that goes up until 8th grade and the students in the middle school are very diverse as well. Summit has a growing sports program and beautiful indoor gym, pool, and farm. Do not believe the reviewer about the school not being interested in welcoming people if different races. It is possible that the child did not fit the Montessori environment. I do agree that the office could have communicated more promptly.

Address: 901 SW 121st Ave, Davie, FL 33325…read more My experience with this school quickly deteriorated from promising to deeply concerning, particularly regarding their handling of behavioral support and adherence to their own policies. Initially, the owner, Giselle, seemed very caring and committed to working with children. During our tour, I clearly communicated that my son, who has ADHD, has an RBT and that we would like them to join him at school. Giselle assured me this would be fine, mentioning they had other RBTs. After his "audition," we were told he was exceptionally well-behaved and gifted, and that an RBT would be unnecessary and even disallowed. I continued to inquire about the RBT joining, but was consistently told no. For three weeks during summer camp, I checked in daily via text and at pick-up, always receiving positive feedback about his day and repeated assurances that an RBT was not needed. Even his BCBA observed him and was told his behavior was great and no help was required. Giselle explicitly stated they only allow RBTs for "intensive behavior," which she claimed my son did not exhibit. This changed abruptly after three weeks. I received a phone call stating my son had thrown a toy at the owner's son's head and was told to pick him up immediately. Upon arrival, my 4-year-old was alone in a classroom, crying at a table. In the car, my son, who is generally truthful, informed me that he threw the toy because the owner's son had hit him in the leg with it first. While throwing toys is unacceptable and we addressed this with him, the owner quickly dismissed my son's account, stating her "angel" child threw nothing as she was present. My son also reported that the male teacher (the owner's husband and father of the child) yelled in his face, "Don't you ever hit my son again." An hour later, I received an email stating my son was expelled due to "intensive behaviors," without any prior write-ups or a behavior plan, and in clear violation of their own handbook. It was claimed they reserve the right to expel for severe injury; however, their child was not bleeding, did not require stitches, and was not taken to the ER, making their definition of "severe" highly subjective and inconsistent with the actual incident. This situation was handled with a complete disregard for due process and solely with concern for their own child, as Giselle herself stated her deep love for him and her inability to send him to a regular school. Adding to the unprofessional conduct, they have also ignored multiple attempts via email to retrieve my son's hats and other personal items. I strongly advise avoiding this school at all costs. If you do consider it, be aware that there appears to be significant nepotism. I would caution parents to ensure their child stays away from the owner's son, as this incident highlights a severe lack of professionalism and fairness in their disciplinary actions.

My child has not only excelled in their learning but also grew through real-life experiences like gardening, caring for animals on campus, and swimming. The school does an amazing job involving the community, which makes the students feel connected and responsible.
