They come home with all holiday activities. I couldn't be more happier with what she has accomplished and learned. Anyone that's considers this school for their children should also consider this: It has been 4 months since my 4 year old was pulled from daycare. She confessed to me one evening that 2 children would force her to play 'private part games.' She confessed it to me, scared asking not to return. When I notified the school, I asked that the parents of the other two children (which shall not be named on this review) be notified or a conference be held to discuss. The school never gave me follow up or let alone cared about my daughters well being after that. Of course, sometimes children are curious... but where were the adults when this was occurring? Where was the supervision? I have since notified and reported the school through her pediatrician... since sadly, she has felt comfortable divulging more information since not returning to the school. Amanda called me back only to tell me that they 'spoke to the children' and 'teachers' about the incident. No one acknowledged anything and I don't believe the other parents were not notified. The teacher denied the existence of the event even though my daughter described in detail the names of the students, teacher by name, and that the students were punished that day. However, I was not notified; my daughter told me herself over dinner. The last call I received from the school from Amanda, she simply asked if Jane would be returning. I said I needed resolution and I was never contacted again. Those are the facts. My oldest daughter attended this school for years with no incident. I trusted them. I trusted the institution. I can only hope that a resolution is achieved in the future and I hope this never happens to other children. At the end, the school was at fault for their carelessness. I cannot blame the children, but I can blame the school for their lack of supervision. I will add, this happened in the tunnel on the playground. I believe that tunnel should be removed. No child should be able to escape line of sight of an adult for any amount of time. Also, this school is careless with bathroom usage between boys and girls...boy will enter while a female is using the toilet. My daughter has seen boys private parts casually, that is not okay. They say they don't allow it, but I had seen it more than once and I would bring it to their attention. So did both dads when dropping off or picking up my girls. The school needs stronger protocols to protect the innocence of the children attending. It has taken months for me and my daughter to recover from this and only now do I feel comfortable enough to say something publicly. Consider this and decide for yourselves if this is the right school for your child. read more

This academy was the first daycare for my 4-year-old son and it was not a good experience for him. The first day because he didn't want to take a nap, they scolded him and also because he was crying, a teacher picked him up hard and threw him on the mat. He never wanted to return, he says the teacher pushed him hard and the truth is this was not the treatment I expected for my son. I do not recommend it. read more

My daughter is two and it is her first Daycare. In a week she was willingly walking in and giving hugs on her way out. Her self confidence and self esteem is peaking and she enjoys coming here every day! The teachers are super friendly and everyone is extremely nice. Would definitely recommend. The teachers and staff at this facility are amazing. They keep you informed of the daily occurrences with your children. The children actually learn while they are at school - I was so impressed when my children (who were 3 and 4 at the time) recited the pledge of allegiance and sang the Star Spangled Banner for me after being enrolled for less than a month. NHA was an improvement from the previous daycare they had been In (Which I had liked, but my kids needed a change). Their VPK program is engaging and interesting. The teachers are loving and truly care about their classes. The facilities are clean. Even the lunch lady pays attention and made sure to ask me how my daughter was one week when my she wasn't eating like she usually did (at home or school). The teachers and administrators go out of their way and spend extra time when needed to make sure that they are working with your children to gain improvements in their academics and their behavior. Good daycare as the teachers really do teach them. This is just not a daycare where the teacher is just babysitting , but a learning facility. My daughter attended at the age of 3 and and now in kindergarten. After learning so much her teachers in Elementary wants to know what school she attended before coming to public school as she is very advanced. Now my son 2 is attending and knows his shapes, colors and is counting up to 20. I couldn't be happier. Only suggestion is that they should have a little more English speaking teachers to better communicate with the parents. My youngest son attended here for VPK and they definitely have a great curriculum. Although there was a few disagreements I couldn't be happier with what my son would come home knowing . So, I felt inclined to write a review on this school because after reading all of the positive reviews I took a day off of work to tour this school. First impressions on cleanliness were not great, I do not like that there are no windows in the hallways, the halls seemed messy and the playground is minuscule and not well kept. I walked past the "kitchen" where there were roughly 20 Styrofoam plates stacked on top of one another all sitting on a filthy cart, with a scoop of meat and pasta and a couple pieces of lettuce as a "side salad" im assuming. VERY unappetizing. First, I toured the infant room, several of the kids were just sitting in their cribs, a few were on the floor with one of the teachers, one was sleeping in a highchair, and another was sitting in her highchair facing the wall.... I kept looking at her and looking at the teacher to see if she would grasp the unapproval and remove the child or atleast turn her to face the room and no, she stayed there for the entirety of my tour. Next, I toured the toddler room where there were roughly 12 toddlers some sleeping some just laying down, and only ONE teacher, who could not have been over 18 years old, just standing in the room texting. Overall, I was very displeased with what I saw... I am unclear as to whether I caught the entire school on a bad day or not but as a mother, there is no way I would feel comfortable sending any of my children here. read more

I don't know where to begin. Well for starters always ask questions. ALWAYS ask. Every question you have. No question is dumb. Unfortunately my son had bruises up and down his arms and they kept saying that they gently pulled him for you to grab a child arm both her arms in both arms are bruised you don't just "gently" hold them. I'm very disgusted with the school but one more disgusts me is the fact that Amanda try to blame it on us because the police officer that was helping me with this Tried to imply that Amanda was saying that she thought it came from home so that was really disgusting for me to hear because she was the one that brought my son inside the school and took of his jacket. I'm so disappointed in this school I gave it chances even when I was getting attitudes EVERY SINGLE PICK UP. I should've just went somewhere else. They never showed me how my son got bruised and I just felt horrible. No child for any reason should be bruised it should come back home bruised from a place where we trust to take care of them I don't know what else to say I just hope that parents please just ask your questions every question even if it's a small question just ask them because you don't wanna come back home to that and believe me it breaks my heart. My son started here in the summer after I took him out of a place where he had started to regress verbally. It only took him a week to adjust and not cry at drop off time. Now he runs in to the class in the morning! I've also seen his verbal skills increase. It's clear that he is happy here. The school uses Remind App and communicates regularly with parents. They also have activities, parties, and events for kids and parents. I'm very happy with this place!! read more

So I found Nob Hill Academy through a friend, and after doing some research it has become obvious that a lot of the people taking there kids here are from recommendations from other very satisfied parents. I have been through my share of preschools and I have found some real bad ones out there. This is always a difficult thing having to entrust strangers to take care of your child, even more so when you have a child with allergies to eggs and peanuts, as I do. After meeting with the staff and finding out that they are a peanut free school, and have other children with allergies like mine I was put more at ease knowing that they knew what to do and were trained to handle the situation. Ms. Amanda has a team of people that are so well trained in there ability to help care for and teach the children. They are above any other school I have ever been to. Usually you will find one or two people in the school that have that special something and all the kids flock to those teachers, not here this entire staff has the greatest qualities you could ever want. My kid always asks me in the morning what teacher do I think will be there and no matter who I say he is always so excited to go. He walks into this school and immedatly is at ease with the teachers and the kids there. Not only is the staff great, but the kids as well, they just seem to get along so well. I am the luckiest parent to have found this school. I would recomend this preschool over any other out there. They are hands down the best school you could ever want to send your kids to. After having my 3 year old here for about a year now, I feel I should update my review. My son loves coming to school here! A couple months ago I moved further east and this school is completely out of the way from my home and work. I have looked for other day cares closer to my home and have found nothing comparable to Nob Hill Academy. This place is extremely affordable with breakfast, lunch and snacks included. They have a great schedule which includes outdoor play time twice daily. I work as a waitress so my schedule is constantly changing so the time I bring my son in is never a set time and this school accommodates that as well. There is no set time (as far as I know) that you must bring your child in like a lot of other daycares I have looked at. This place opens early and stays open a little later than others which is also great for my ever changing schedule. My son's teachers always greet him cheerfully when he comes in and on his off days that he goes in kicking and screaming, they always get him calmed down within minutes. The front desk ladies are all very nice and welcoming. All in all, this is a great school! read more

My kids are now 13,12,8. They all attended Nob Hill Academy. My two older kids started at 2 yrs old and the youngest at 6 weeks. I have no regrets because my children were well taken care of by everyone. They opened early and closed later than most places. All my kids graduated VPK from there. They all also went to camp there. I put my four year old daughter in Nob Hill Academy in August. It was her first experience in daycare or a school setting. She missed the VPK cut-off date because of her birthday, so I enrolled her in the four year old preschool class. As an elementary school teacher, I was super critical of the place. I must say - I couldn't be any happier!!! The facility is extremely clean and set up exactly like an elementary school. All of their walls have educational and colorful bulletin boards that are changed on a regular basis. All of the classrooms also have educational and interactive bulletin boards. They have a library in the rooms, a computer station, and are very organized. They have a playground that looks new. It is covered with a shade so the kids stay cool. They have tricycles and a little track that my daughter is always riding on. They have the fake grass - NO sand or wood chips - HUGE bonus points there. The staff are amazing! They are welcoming and caring. My daughter truly adores her teacher. Every time I pick her up, her teacher is smiling and happy. I have had horrible experiences with other daycare teachers my older daughter had, but not here. The teacher is always actively supervising the children, speaking appropriately, and maintaining good classroom management. I have shown up at different times throughout the day to pick up my daughter and her teacher has never been on her cell phone - which is a huge concern of mine. The ladies at the front desk are also very nice. They know my daughter by name and always say hello and goodbye and give hugs if necessary. I am impressed with how they handle the security issues as well. You have to be buzzed in and they have checked the IDs of anyone who picked up my daughter - even if the person was on my approved list and even when I sent in a note informing them of a different pick up for the day. I am also incredibly happy with their academic curriculum. My daughter knows almost all of her letter names and sounds - not from me LOL. They celebrate lots of different cultural events and holidays. They have themed dress up days, field trips that come into the facility (good thing cause I'm still nervous about my daughters taking buses to different locations), and a weekly show-and-tell. They encourage parent involvement too. I am invited to attend all special events. My in-laws were even able to come to an event. As a parent, you feel very welcomed. There is nothing to hide there - they really support the home - school connection. As far as the cost goes, they were slightly cheaper than most daycares in my area. I feel like you get above and beyond what you are paying for. I checked out other places who charged 10 to 20 dollars more a week and they seriously had NOTHING more or better than Nob Hill Academy. My daughter follows my school schedule so if I'm off for something, she stays off with me. You still have to pay for the full week - even if your kid is not there. I checked around and this is standard policy for daycares. It doesn't bother me though, it's worth every penny to send my daughter to a place where I know she is safe and with truly caring and wonderful people. I really have nothing bad to say about the place. I LOVE it there!!! It gets the official "teacher" stamp of approval. I will be sending her there next year for VPK :) I feel she will be adequately prepared and ready for Kindergarten. read more

I have to say that being new to the Broward area, I was very nervous when deciding on a preschool for my daughter. After reading all of the yelp reviews on Nob Hill academy, my husband and I decided this was the best one in the area. And needless to say, It was the best decision that we have ever made! My daughter cried the first couple of days, by the second week she would run into her class and wave goodbye like nothing! She is extremely happy there. The staff is well informed on every student, they inform me of anything and everything that happens on a daily basis and my daughter has learned soooo much. She is a two year old and already knows most of the alphabet and numbers. She is extremely happy in that school and so are we to see her so enthusiastic about learning new things. A year later and we are still completely satisfied and grateful with the care our son has received. We are now on our third set of teachers/classroom and we have loved and adored each one. Our son was flourished socially and academically. Any concerns we have had have been addressed respectfully. Our son is rarely ill from what I believe is the cleanliness of the center. A daycare is suppose to take care of your child when you are at work. I constantly have to schedule days off from work and leave work early because the school has early release or is not open on certain. They need to work with the federal holiday calendar. After becoming frustrated with the situation, I decide to moved my child to another daycare. My son was only there for 2-3 months and I decided to take him out. Very unorganized and extremely crowded. They would always misplace items and every teacher had a different story about what my child would eat and drink. Until i kept being on top of things and realized they were all lying and no one had a clue of what was going on. Workers always seem unhappy with theyr job and are simply there for a paycheck. The last straw was when my son got a Bacteria(salmonella) from someone who had left milk in his sippy cup and just poured water in it for him to drink. He is till recovering from this bacteria and was hospitalized. If you really care about your child ; Dont send them there. read more

If I could give this school 0 stars I would. We left the school abruptly because my daughter was being mistreated by an employee there. I brought it to there attention and of course I was very upset. They had recorded me yelling without my knowledge at one of the directors about how they would tell me her marks on her arms was from falling. I called in a report to the state and they pulled me in the office to tell me that they recorded me and I should be embarrassed of myself. It was as if they tried to manipulate me into calling off the investigation. To make matters worse there cameras don't record, which just proves that they are not there to protect our children only themselves. My daughter is in a new school and never comes home with marks on her arms. And her new schools have cameras that record. If your a parent just make sure you ask these questions because they manipulate the young kids into not telling the truth about what happened. Just because the case could not be finished due to lack of evidence. I believe my daughter and what she told me and the school of what happened. read more

Being a first time mom and knowing I had to go back to work was very upsetting and stressful for me. I was afraid that no one would be able to take care of my 8 week old son and give him the love, affection, and attention the way I would. I researched and visited/toured many daycares/schools in the area. I was aware of Nob Hill Davie since one of my friends has her daughter there. Finally, I made the decision to register my son at the Davie location. Let me just say that Nob Hill Davie has exceeded my expectations of what I wanted for my son. The administration, infant teachers, as well as other faculty and staff are wonderful. I am always greeted with a smile and a hello and a smile and have a great day when I leave. I never thought I would feel comfortable putting my son in a school/daycare, but I was proved wrong. The infant teachers care for my son as they would one of their own. He absolutely loves going to school there. As soon as I walk into the building, you can see the excitement on his face--smiles, babbles, and giggles. The teachers get down on the floor with the babies, sing songs, play with the toys, teach letters and numbers, lots of hugs/love, and help the babies achieve developmental milestones. My husband and I are moving further north of Nob Hill Davie and will be much further out of the way, but we didn't think twice about taking our now 10 month old out of the location. Without a doubt, we will keep him there until he gets to Kindergarten. The hours are very flexible, opening at 7 AM! Also, it is very affordable. They even provide the children with breakfast, lunch, and snacks. My family and I are beyond pleased and happy with this school. read more
