I contacted Jim's for a full exterior and interior detail. The car looks brand new. Showroom floor level of clean. They even removed the stickers she had on the back windshield. [764] Cracked…read morewindshield!!! I called my Volvo dealership and they recommended Anthony Volk Glass to replace my front windshield. Turns out with the new cars I would also need to go to my dealership to have my front cameras recalibrated. Talked to Anthony to set up an appointment. He was responsive and was able to meet me at the dealership at my convenience. This made it easy for me to handle the replacement and camera recalibration at the same time. I also needed the dealership to reapply my inspection stickers. Everything was handled in a few hours so I was happy it was easily taken care of in one shot. Antony Volk Glass also handled the insurance paperwork. Hopefully I won't need him again but if I do I would definitely use this company again.

It was long ago and it's just stared at me since then. It's not a tiny dent, it's about 6" long. And a failed installation of a bike rack left some nasty to the metal nicks in the paint. I know every prospective buyer is going to hesitate or negotiate. What to do? Googling around I found Carisma on the web. I called and went by for an appointment, and was satisfied enough with what I saw that I just left my car there that day for the repair. No, the place isn't much to look at but the guys are friendly and price was right for me. For $180, the dent is totally gone, a paintless repair, and the nicks to the paint on the trunk are professionally touched up (not perfectly repainted but much less noticeable). Service was friendly but they were busy so make an appointment. And note it is cash or check only. I'll never go around with a dent in my ride ever again. I'll bring it here and for a small price I can nearly get back to showroom.

Before dropping off my car, I told the shop I only wanted an initial estimate because I might pay out of pocket. My insurer had warned me it wouldn't cover storage or administrative fees, so I asked directly whether the shop charged them. I was told, "We wouldn't charge those for cars we are working on." After drop-off, the shop sent me a "work authorization form" to sign on my phone while I was at work. It listed no fee amounts, only that fees were posted in the shop. It also included a letter to my insurer, which no one mentioned, saying I had requested an inspection. I hadn't. When my insurer scheduled its adjuster for several days later, I called to pick up my car. I was told taking it would delay things, so I left it there. The shop then charged storage for every one of those days. Nine days after drop-off, the shop told me repairs would cost about $2,850 more than my insurer approved. I declined within the hour. Only then did the shop say it would "generate charges for services rendered." The bill: 10 days of storage at $127 a day starting the day I dropped the car off (half discounted), a $400 administrative fee, and a $201 scan. My card was also charged a 4% "convenience fee" that wasn't on the itemized bill and that I never agreed to. For comparison, the shop that repaired my car charges $95 a day for storage, and only for cars left for weeks. When I raised my concerns at pickup, the clerk was dismissive and didn't offer to escalate. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Conestoga Collision. If you do use them, get every fee in writing before you leave your car, and read every page of anything you sign.
