Ordered my usual from here yesterday, the honeydew smoothie- 75% sweet. I wish they were closer to home as the boba here is far superior to the other boba that I've had around town. It comes warm but quickly cools off- it's has the perfect flavor and texture - very bouncy and smooth all the way through. The smoothie was perfect, could have probably gotten 50% sweet but I still enjoyed the smoothie and the boba. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I got there , staff was quick and kid for the short interaction we had. Establishment was clean as always.
I am a regular at this place. We love their rice plates, vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and all their boba choices. I usually order via DoorDash or Uber Eats. But if I ordered in-store more often, I probably would have gotten so many free boba drinks with their stamp rewards card and they'd probably know me by name. Ordering is super convenient and reasonably priced. The staff are always great and friendly.
This place is amazing! I've been here numerous times, and always leave happier than I came. Truboba Cafe serves authentic Vietnamese food (Rice, Vermicelli, Banh Mi, Wings, and Snacks) and makes delicious drinks. My usual orders are the Grilled Pork Rice (with an added fried egg), Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and Vietnamese Style Wings (Fish sauce seasoning). The service here is always friendly and attentive. Relaxing atmosphere to eat / socialize / have a date at. Give them a try!
Very disappointed!!! First, the prices went up. Second, I ordered a Banh Mi and spring rolls (supposedly "grilled pork"). The meat was tasteless and not even hot; they stuffed it with veggies and gave me literally only two small slices of pork. The spring roll was pretty nasty--filled with lettuce and very, very few noodles. Total waste of $14.99. I will not be coming back, even though this used to be my favorite spot!
I stopped here thinking I was gonna receive the same drink that I normally ordered. I stand corrected. My go to is Taro Milk Tea with Boba Pearls and Lychee popping boba (or jelly). Majority of boba places will do Taro Milk Tea with green tea rather than milk, which results in a drink that's less sweet. I feel like once you try the milk version, you don't go back to green tea (at least in my experience) So I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the drink and it was made with milk! I definitely give it a 10 out of 10! The place is super cute as well, with a green wall that could be perfect for some selfies with friends! It was also very quiet when I got there on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered at the counter and then they gave me a buzzer and my order was ready a little after that. And they asked me if I wanted to start a punch card as well.
Love the concept of viet street food with boba. I work right next door to here and have been meaning to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint. For my order, I got the fish sauce wings, popcorn chicken, beef banh mi, and jasmine green milk tea with boba. Starting with the boba, it was slightly too sweet for me but I will probably just get less sweetness next time. The tapioca was soft and I could still taste the tea flavoring in the drink which I liked. Popcorn chicken was crispy and had a subtle seasoning flavor of five spice. It also came with sweet chilli that paired well with the chicken. The beef banh mi was delicious. The bread was crispy, the meat was juicy, and there was this thick layer of butter mayo sauce that brought together the sandwich so well. Finally, the star of the show I would say is the fish sauce wings. The wings were big and crispy. The sauce was salty but also slightly sweet. I honestly enjoyed every dish I had here. Definitely give this place try!!
This quaint spot is located in between a bar and a CBD spot. So, for those in the mood for a little bit of food, CBD and a stiff drank, this may be your location. I came in today for a light snack and some tea. Here we go... Oolong Milk Tea Oolong tea is my favorite tea! I got hooked on this tea when living in Singapore. Oolong tea has many health benefits as it is high in amino acids, which can improve brain activity, increase sleep quality, and reduce stress and anxiety. My tea was earthy and had a sweet flowery scent. Unlike most folks, I did not elect to go with the Booba option. Shrimp Toast This is a great snack. This baked shrimp toast snack is made with shrimp, celery, onion, garlic, mayonnaise, and shredded cheese on top of thin slices of a French baguette for the ultimate creamy and savory seafood flavor experience. This simple yet elevated snack is sure to please even the most selective tastes. Spring Rolls In Vietnamese, fresh spring rolls made with rice paper are called gỏi cuốn, translating to "salad rolls'' (gỏi is means "salad" and cuốn means "to coil" or "to roll"). Generally, Vietnamese spring rolls are filled with shrimp, pork, vegetables, herbs and rice vermicelli. The ones made at this establishment are no different. These were simple and fresh. Overall, the customer service here was great and efficient and the food came out quickly. This spot is worth a try if you are looking for quick eats.

Best banh mi I've had in my life - do not sleep on this place! My boyfriend and I discovered what used to be banh mi ngon in college at UT when it was still a food truck. We were regulars and since moving to Dallas, we continued to follow this place to make sure we'd always be able to find it. So happy they are now a brick and mortar. Went to Austin last weekend and might've stopped twice on the way in and back out - it is so dang good and the family who owns it is the kindest. I moved to the Bay Area for a bit after college and still never found anything to rival this place. It is perfection! This is our go-to spot for great boba and lunch in Round Rock! We got the grilled pork and shrimp bahn mi sandwiches both of which were really tasty and hit the spot! For boba tea - everything we've tried is good. Royal premium milk tea, mango green tea, almond milk tea is very almondy in a good way! I have been to TruBoba ever since their previous name was Banh Mi Ngon. They serve a very extensive selection of slush, milk teas, regular teas and more. Their boba is not too chewy or freezes up after getting really cold like Teapioca. They have a very fun hip layout to hang out with your friends or cool off with a chill drink. The food was AMAZING!! I was lucky enough to be able to get their bubble waffles (i saw in reviews that sometimes their out) they were soft and delicious, I don't get any toppings except powdered sugar yet it was STILL DELICIOUS and I wanted to buy more. I also got an order of the baked shrimp bread, and it was TO DIE FOR! It was cheesy, and garlicky, and the shrimp was toasted to PERFECTION! My husband got the popcorn chicken and shared the shrimp bread with me. The service was really amazing, the staff was sweet and attentive. I asked for recommendations and they were happy to give some. The reason for 4 stars (I would do 4.5 but I can't do that on here anymore :(. I don't know why) is only because they had forgotten to make my husband's wings hahaha, but when I let them know they jumped right on it. The shop its self was absolutely adorable! They had some cute stuffies and a picture wall! You should definitely check this place out if you're looking for boba and bubble waffles!! read more

I ordered porked with vermicelli. Pork is very thin and small portion for $13.55 but I get huge amount of noodle. Taste is not bad so I gave 3 star. I wonder if portion is different if I dine-in ? read more

Am I just ordering the wrong thing here? Vermicelli bowl is depressing. The noodles are thick (why? lol there's absolutely no reason for this), the eggroll is somehow sloppy and overcooked and oily, and the tofu is like that pre-fried tofu you can get at Hmart that has the texture (and taste) of a wet sponge. The spring rolls are hilarious, too. Like 90% just shredded iceberg lettuce?? I've never seen anything like it. (The only thing worse I've seen was mapo tofu that had canned peas and carrots in it...It looked like something out of a chef boyardee can.) Jasmine tea ordered at 0% sugar is still somehow sweet?? I'd get it if the tea had a fruit syrup added to it, but plain jasmine tea shouldn't have sugar already added. Maybe the boba added a lot of sugar? I've had tea with boba from other places that wasn't this sweet, though. I genuinely am not a picky eater. This food is not good, though. Feels like I bought from a middle schooler who just learned how to cook. Apologies if this is a little harsh, but wanted to let people know. Maybe the non-veggie options are better, though. read more

This is my second time here and both times I have been here during lunch. It wasn't busy during lunch time so we were able to take our time and browse their menu then order at the counter. I ordered the grilled pork with rice and it comes with an imperial roll. For an additional charge you can add an egg to your dish. The food came out pretty fast. What more can I ask for during lunch break? The imperial roll was nice, thick, and well fried. They were not skimpy with the meat. The grilled pork was pretty tasty too. It also comes with a side of fish sauce and chili paste (Sambal Oelek). My friend ordered Banh Mi and a waffle. Boy they were not stingy with meat this time unlike our first visit. Phew! Lol. This is not a fine China and silverware place. It is a place for quick bite where you order at the counter, they will bring your food to the table with disposable tableware. After you are done, you dispose it at the trash near the door. We were done within 30 minutes so we could get back to work. read more

I am a boba aficionado. I've tried a bunch of the boba places in round rock and this one is the best. They have boba, food, snacks, ice cream, bubble waffles!! This place is gold and I'm thinking about when I'll be going back! So glad I live down the street! I've included pics of almond milk tea boba (which was smooth, creamy and I'm surprised they had it, not many do), and grilled pork banh mi which was so good! The meat to bread and veggie ratio was great! The banquet was crunch on the outside and soft in the middle! Drooling just thinking about it!! read more

I wish I lived closer!!! I love the variety of milk tea that they offer and I love it when you can choose the level of sweetness that you prefer. We got the magical milk tea and Mango green tea. I don't remember what's in the magical milk tea, but it's delicious and worth trying! Being from LA, I'm used to a lot of boba place offering snacks, so this place definitely reminded me of home with all their snack offerings. My go to is always the popcorn chicken, and while I wish they were a bit more seasoning, they were still pretty good. Customer service is great! I need to update this to a 5 star because food has tasted so much better now that they added grilled pork to the menu. It is by far, my favorite spot to go to whenever I need a quick banh mi or vermecilli bowl in the Round Rock area. Their grilled pork taste like heaven. It is so savory and delicious with a smoky flavor. It makes me grateful that I'm not vegetarian. The bread still taste warm and fresh. The vermecilli bowl is also another good alternative. The spring roll that it comes with is tasty and crispy. Definitely a must try! I've also tried their Vietnamese chicken wings and it tasted really good! read more

Best Banh Mi in the city. Hands down. I've had all of their banh mi and you really can't go wrong. My fav is their grilled pork. What makes this place stand out from the other places is their bread. Their french bread is on point!! Great crunch without cutting your mouth! Reminds me of a few places in Houston. Overflowed with ingredients and 1 was enough for me. The owner used to run the food truck, Banh Mi Ngon, which means Delicious Banh Mi. I'm happy she has landed here in North RR. Tell your friends people! read more

New review as I've finally had a meal from here! Their banh mi is da bomb dot com so GET IT! Maybe even ask for extra sauce because it is addicting af. The wings are also ahhhmazing. Had the garlic parmesan and they hit it out of the ballpark. Never going to Pluckers again. They did go hog wild with the cucumber in just about everything though, big ol chunks of it in the vermicelli and banh mi, so I'd make note to ask for them to cut back. Not a fan of the pork in the spring rolls as I wish it was grilled and had a little char/flavor, but that was the only "meh" thing about the meal. Great local food, worth going crazy and ordering a little bit of everything. I can't wait to have more. read more

I came by for lunch craving a banh mi and this was the closest location serving some. I opted for the chicken banh mi sandwich and a coffee boa tea. The bread was nice and toasted and the chicken had a nice charred flavor to it. I only wished the veggies were pickled! However, the sandwich does come with a good serving of meat. My coffee boba tea was really good. I think it's a nice little place to grab a quick lunch if your in a rush, service was quick. read more

Way outside town but found this on a side trip and it's excellent. The boba is soft and the drinks are genuine. Additionally bought a pandan waffle, smothered in ice cream and caramel sauce. They let you choose from a variety of toppings. You can't go wrong. This place is authentic and good quality. I'll try a vietnamese dish next time I'm in the area. read more
This is such a nice place to go to. Their menu is not overwhelming with too many boba options but the drink options they do have are tasty! They have an assortment of jelly's and poppers but they DON'T HAVE PUDDING and I love pudding on my tea! So disappointing. The online menu and the in restaurant menu is completely different. In the online menu they have pudding options as well as other flavors that are not available in person. They also serve food like sandwiches which are so good! They also make waffles and serve it with ice cream if desired. I have yet to try any of the waffles or any other food besides the sandwiches but I love how they have food options when many boba places only have packaged snacks like chips and candy. This place hits the spot with a knockout like Mike Tyson in his prime. I'm here reading reviews and I swear I see haters. Let me tell you how it really went down. Location: Located in Round Rock within a very quiet and nice area on University. This spot is not hard to miss. However, pay attention as there are plenty of other joints here. Exterior/Interior: Clean. Inside and out. Modernized with a simple layout. The space is very open and inviting. Quiet atmosphere too. You can bring friends, family, and coworkers here with you. Menu: Big drink menu along with a nice sized menu for sandwiches, wings, and desserts. I like the menu A LOT. Food: I ordered ten piece wings with salt and pepper and Vietnamese style. I also had several drinks to the bánh mì. Ordered the waffle too. Yes, I eat a lot. Everything I tried was great. I don't know where people are getting that the food here wasn't good but those people are uncultured swine who should have their tongues cut off and then be sent into exile somewhere where they can eat their shit. I really hate shit reviews that provide no feedback to help those out that really want to try out places like these. Opinions are opinions, but the sense of the opinions of some of these people are absurd and blatant lies. Service: The ladies were very sweet and accommodating. I appreciate the service here. I am here after hours as we speak. Value: Moderate pricing. I think it's fair pricing. About a dollar a wing with the 10 wings. The bánh mì is smaller than what I would've liked but places like these tend to be a bit more expensive with the sandwiches. Drinks are competitively priced. I think for what they provide in terms of value, this place is worth it. All in all, I recommend this spot. My rating: 5/5 - No regrets. Will definitely come back. I've been going here at least once a week. I had a milk tea drink with tapioca and at that time, the tapioca wasn't cooked long or it was chilled and it wasn't soft in my drink. However, their Bubble Waffle has become my favorite dessert! I always get the Original Vanilla with Chocolate Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate Sauce with Strawberries. The waffle is cooked to order so it's fresh! It's not too sweet and good item to top off my night. The place is always clean, they have free Wifi and the staff is very friendly. read more
This place is nice and sparkly clean! Perfect for a chill date with friends or place to study. I tried the royal milk tea which was really good, just the right amount of sweetness. Some of my friends got 50% sweetness and they said that it was not sweet at all and they should have just gotten the regular sweetness so I don't think this place overdoes the sweetness (which I enjoy). The boba balls at this place are different from other places I've had, they feel much more crisp and clean unlike some places where the boba ball soak in the syrup and taste sweet. This is a personal preference of course, but I kinda like it when boba balls are soaked in that sweet syrup. Anyways I also tried the honey green tea for a fruity refreshment and it was also good! Not too sweet or watery. Also can I just say the owner of this place is the cutest Vietnamese lady. Very nice and good service. So fresh and perfect sweetness. Great location near Teravista, Seton, ACC Round Rock, etc. They have Vietnamese sandwiches and waffles and a huge tea menu. This is going to be my new hangout place with family and friends! Very friendly people working here! read more
We came across TruBoba because we're always in search for a new place for my milk tea addiction. This is not just a boba tea shop but a little restaurant with snacks - wings, sandwiches, and waffles. The restaurant is sparkling clean and cute with white tables with little clear vases of flowers. We ordered a pistachio milk tea and a dirty horchata, both with 80% sugar and less ice, and they were both perfect! Pistachio milk tea: It has great nutty flavor. When I took the first sip, it was a little weird and interesting, but the more I drank, the more delicious it became. Dirty horchata: Sooo delicious! It's perfectly cinnamon-y with great taste of tea without over-powering the horchata taste. Pricing is a bit higher than other boba tea shops ($4.75 for a regular tall one without toppings), but you can see that they really take care of your drinks. You can taste that it's good quality drinks. Can't wait to come back and try other flavors. read more
