They were going to have live music as well as a food truck in the evening but we had other plans. The winery offered samples for $1. Most of our group chose 4-6 wines to try so our table looked a bit crazy with all the glasses. The one downside was that the employee who helped us was relatively new and had us do our tastings from sweet to dry, instead of dry to sweet. She did say that she was trained this way but it threw me off. Luckily, the owner came in and we were able to ask some questions. When I questioned the thought process of going from sweet to dry - he quickly corrected our remaining samples and made a note to do some retraining. I enjoyed that this was a family owned winery. Even the kids were studying subjects in college to allow them to be part of the business as well. I loved the theme of time. Our group ended up leaving with several bottles and I would definitely recommend this winery to others.

They do have food trucks at times. Still, a couple more food choices wood be nice. Maybe some different chips and dips, veggie trays or flatbreads. Just maybe a few more fire pits for the colder evenings.

Although they've been here for only a short while, they currently craft their wines at @lincolnwayvineyards --a place we love and have missed visiting. I absolutely loved the "Satisfaction" red wine. It's a dry, oaked wine with aromas of dark fruit, made from French-American hybrid DeChaunac grapes originating from New York, and it boasts a 13.1% ABV. Another standout was the "After Midnight," which reminds me of a saying my parents used when I wanted to extend my curfew in high school: "Nothing good happens after midnight." This wine is the exception. It's a semi-dry, floral aromatic wine, also originating from New York, on the sweeter side with a 2.5% residual sugar and a 12.3% ABV. Overall, the staff was awesome, the wine was excellent, and the space was inviting. Can't wait to revisit. Cheers!

Das Weinhaus normally has lots of live music (such as guitar players) so that's fun. The view of the water (pond?) is nice outside on a warm summer day. I didn't try any of their food but they offer some food and they are known for their alcoholic drinks (wine, beer, etc). I don' t drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings. They were nice in allowing us to bring our own snacks and cake while on their patio to celebrate my friend John's birthday. If you live in the area then go and visit Das Weinhaus. It appears to be a local favourite spot. The area is very remote (like the country) as evident from my drive there from Cleveland. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 107/250 total reviews in 2026 - 948 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 28 May 2026

They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. The flatbread is actually two whole flatbreads and the dip was the size of a dinner plate. They were kind to get us an extra loaf of bread to go with the dip because we ran out. Their kitchen closed at 8 even though they were open until 9. That was about annoying because we considered ordering an additional dish but worked out fine since the dishes were so large.
