I finally went to the Troubadour. This place is a historical monument in West Hollywood. I went to see one of my favorite singers, Ledsi. I had a wonderful time. It's small and quaint inside with mostly standing room, but if you get there early, you can find a few seats. The only flaw was, that I didn't like how they have the snack bar that's right near the bar area which is kind of hard to maneuver around because people are either standing in your way, or in the aisle. Otherwise, the food was good. The service was great and I had a great time. I'm glad I got to experience the Troubadour--easy parking on the street or valet parking.

The Troubadour is what you hear about in legends of LA. I've been several times now and always enjoy hearing artists I love at such a small, intimate venue. Troubadour is perfectly placed on the border of WeHo & Beverly Hills so convenience getting here is great for all in the city. The parking is another animal though, I always take Waymo! Don't drink and drive kids. :) There are a ton of great eats all around, including Dan Tana's next door and a cool dispensary lounge Artist Tree in case you need some pre-concert imbibing. They also serve food here! If you sit upstairs, a server even comes around to ask for orders which feels very VIP. Open since 1957, I would max out the character count of this review if I listed only my favorites who have performed over the years at this monumental location. So let me let you know of some iconic moments here: ~In 1962, Lenny Bruce was arrested here for saying "Shmuck" on stage...my goodness if they only knew how vulgar our standup gets now! ~In 1970, a young Elton John played his first show, introduced by Neil Diamond. ~In 1974, Ringo & John got kicked out for heckling the Smothers Brothers. ~In the 1980s, Guns N' Roses were DISCOVERED here. ~In 2025, Yelp LA OCA Sarah S. saw Medium Build & many others at a fundraiser for the LA Wildfires. Hilary Duff sat in front of her, drunkenly swaying and having an amazing night with her friends as her hubby played in the band. They raised almost 50k~!!!! How lucky are we, that we can listen to live music of amazing artists in such an intimate and historical spot in WeHo!? Music buffs should give it a go knowing if you see an artist here, it's going to be intimate with great sound quality, plus it might end up being the best show you've ever been to. Music heals!

Troubadour is a legendary venue located in West Hollywood. It has helped launch some of the most famous performers in history such as Elton John, James Taylor, and Tom Waits. It's a smaller more intimate venue so you get up and close with the artists. There was a bar in the front of the venue as well as another on the inside on the first floor. There was also a second floor which gave a better vantage point of the stage but it was reserved for VIP. It was also mostly standing room only so be prepared to stand for long periods of time. It was cool to see the artists up close and personal and I had a good time here.

Finally made it to The Troubadour, and my only regret is not getting here sooner! This place is legendary, and now I get the hype. Caught Joy Oladokun here, and while the acoustics started off a little wonky (felt like my ears were in a funhouse for a minute), they dialed it in, and then--pure magic. The vibe? Old-school cool. Dark wood, intimate setting, and bars that don't require a Hunger Games-level battle to reach. No giant screens, no overpriced VIP nonsense--just raw, unfiltered music history. Parking in West Hollywood is still a cruel joke, but honestly, it's worth the struggle. If you love live music, this is a must. Just don't be like me and wait forever to go. 10/10, will rock out again.

I hate to admit it, but I haven't been back here since my hubby opened for Vonda Sheppard! What a great venue to see a show. Very small and intimate but they can back em in! The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a separate bar to your left when you walk in that has some seats. You can hear the show and watch it on the screens if you prefer. Otherwise it's mostly standing room only. I believe the seats up in the balcony are more expensive and given to a few VIP's. There is a second bar in the back across from the stage. We were standing right at the stage so we had no obstacles in our way while listening to Shawn Colvin & KT Tunstall. They were amazing together and so funny! The room was packed but our fellow music lovers could not have been nicer. *The restrooms are located in the front bar and in the way back past the bar in the main room. *There was a long line when we arrived just after the doors opened but it moved quickly. *They offer Valet parking *Plenty of street parking (just read the signs and you may have to park a bit further away from the venue. *NO Food is served here. Just drinks.

Disclaimer: this review is not about the venue yet as we are still in line outside. This is for some people who think they can get ahead of others by cutting in the line... When cutting in line is not cool... I don't really sweat the small stuff but this is just not right. The email says doors open at 7pm. It's 59degrees and several of us arrived at around 515ish to line up and brave the cold weather. When suddenly 2 guys came to have a "small talk"with people in the front and asked "is it worth to wait in line? It's the Vertical Horizon. They have not had a concert in Europe" and then they're now cutting the line and forced to chit chat until the doors open. Well it its worth to wait in line, respect the people who have lined up ahead of you. Because cutting lines is not cool! Where's the etiquette in watching concerts??? This is just so annoying.

Came for Fox Stevenson and enjoyed everything about the show and venue! All the staff was great, loved that there was a bar upstairs and the seating upstairs was nice as well! Loved the intimate setting and such a fun atmosphere!

Up close and personal with your favorite artists (that's Mac McAnally).

This is what a live music venue should look like. You're literally steps away from the artist. The sound quality is good. The intimacy of the performance is off the charts. Elton John, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and many other huge stars played on this tiny stage. They don't get the talent like they used to but some of the acts are still excellent. They've got booze and food for sale and, believe it or not, the club is all ages. Personally, I don't think I would bring a kid here but there are rowdier bars for sure. There is some seating upstairs but not much. It's standing room only on the floor, as it should be. Dan Tana's is located about 15 feet away, seriously, and is a great choice before or after a show. If you're a fan of history and live music, make the pilgrimage.

We love an accessible venue !

Five stars for having an accessible place right next to the stage for both wheelchair users and other people with disabilities!!! Also love that they have food!!! Second time at the troubadour, but I am really impressed. Good job weho !!!!

Troubadour, the historic venue. Glad I finally got to visit this place. It was nostalgic like a time capsule. Small, but perfect for an intimate concert. Bartenders were all really cool and attentive. I got to see the Red Clay Strays perform their new album Made By These Moments. It was amazing, the venue was perfect place to host this band. I'd go back again for sure.

Saw an amazing local band by the name of @TREMORS.MUSIC here, the rest of the lineups was also greats and contributed to the great environment and legacy of great acts performing at the venue. The drinks for the price are phenomenal and very tasty. Such an iconic venue they do a good job of creating a welcoming environment. Sound was great and clear. Very spacious, would recommend coming here to see any band!

lol. The handicapped seating, from second floor, if available!

Amazing venue with limited seating, but HANDICAPPED accommodations are available on a first come first served basis and you may email via their website for more information! So great! G LOVE AND SPECIAL SAUCE W/ Ron Artis II..... amazing show!!

After the show... this is the END.

Who knew??? The TROUBADOUR has food... LOL. I've been here 100 times and first time I noticed. Attended last night for an Aretha Franklin tribute, incredible show. The bar bites are fantastic BTW. Check out my photo of the menu, good stuff cheap. Great burgers! Best venue in LA for live music, sound system is unbeatable, the artists booked are the beat of the best, and it's cozy inside. Usually packed. I like the front bar and the upstairs bar, they tend to be less packed. The middle bar is a zoo LOL but great seats for the show. All of the bartenders are ladies (girl power!) and the service is quick given the size of the crowds they are serving. Fire up a hot dog next time you go! LOL. They won't disappoint!

Ask the Community - Troubadour

Is the front bar open everyday for non-ticket holding guests? Can the general public just go to the bar for a drink?

Unfortunately no. I’ve been asking management for years to make the front bar open to the GP without a ticket to the show… so sad it’s such a fun crowd and great bartenders. Plus the simulcast the show to the TVs.

So I'm visiting LA next weekend and was wondering how I went about being booked for a show at this venue?

What kind of seating do they have for concerts?

Most of the seating is standing room only on the floor. But they have a balcony with some benches. Sometimes they charge more for this and it will be noted when you go to buy tickets, but often it is simply first come first to sit. Note the line is… Read more

Is there a bar when there is an event? Also, is it a full bar?

Front, backbar and upstairs open.

I have a bad back and can't stand for hours and need a seat. How can I arrange for me and my husband for Limp Bizkit on March 5th?

Call the Troubadour now and tell them your issue. They will seat you in the balcony, which is actually the best place to be in the house. You can also email them.

Do kids 12 or younger have to attend concerts with an adult or someone over 21?

They have to be with someone over 18.

How soon can people line up for a show?

The rule is one hour, and it is just a tad down the street. The fact is for a sold out show that is super popular people get there a couple hours early and are sometimes sent away, sometimes not.I was there last month for a sold out show and we were… Read more

Is there re entry for smoking outside the show or a designated gated area?

Yep in and out fine there

What is the camera policy?

Open

We'd like to take our daughter for her 20st bday, possible?

We're an all ages venue, so if you are inquiring about her getting in she will be able as long as she has a ticket to the event.

Is this place allow minor on concert days (may 9)?

We are an all ages venue.

Came here with this group of friends for an after dinner drink, but from what I could see, there was a really solid selection of spirits, including some really high-end rare bottles. I think there weee also food items, but really didn't notice since we were specifically coming in for drinks There was also a pretty extensive menu of different cocktails as well. The person helping us was very, very friendly and helpful. The level of service here is really amazing - I mean I wouldn't expect anything less. I ordered a cocktail called Locked and Loaded. I often order whisk(e)y straight up but the cocktails sounded great here. I have to say...the Locked and Loaded has to be one of the best cocktails I ever had personally - it contained both bourbon and scotch (a really smokey/ peaty one at that), as well as egg white. The result was a cocktail that had a nice, full mouthfeel and a great balance of sweet and smoke. I really enjoyed this cocktail. There was also a fun art installation that apparently costed a lot of money to commission or purchase. I'm no art connoisseur, but at first glance, it looked like a non functioning fuse box. I didn't realize it was an art installation until other patrons were taking pics of it.

Have no fear, for park validation is here. When I got into CUT Lounge, I found the server to be most attentive and personable. I was seated quickly and introduced to the lounge. Now it's important to note that the menu is exactly the same as the restaurant next door. The ambiance is more laid back with large screen TV for sports. There was a huge bar or cushioned seating at the tables -- choice is yours. I think I like the intimate nature of the lounge. It was more relaxing and I found solitude. Maybe it was earlier in the evening or because it was a week day. For drinks I ordered one of their negronis, which had a unique taste that was rather different from the negroni I've had in the past. I think there were two types of negronis on the menu, and this one had the aged alcohol. My memory is fuzzy, but I believe I ordered the dry aged ribeye, which I asked to be cooked medium rare. Now in other steakhouses, when you ask for medium rare they give you rare steak. Here, the steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare. It's got that nice crust on the outside and succulent tenderness on the inside. This is good steak. I don't think I've had better yet. For my sides, I ordered the cream spinach, which had an interesting twist with the egg. I think it added to the creamy texture perhaps? I also had the Yukon gold potato puree, which after eating it seems like a fanciful way of saying mashed potatoes. All's well and tasted fabulous.

The first floor had booths lining the walls, and the second floor had reservable tables with a great view. The show was scheduled to start at 8:30pm but didn't kick off until around 9, which honestly didn't matter once it got going. The commentator was hysterical, completely unhinged in the best way and added so much to the experience. The matches were nonstop entertaining, and the backstories were wild. One story about the troupe hearing about a midget living in a homeless shelter and going to pick him up to join the crew really stood out. It felt chaotic, heartfelt, and oddly wholesome all at once. The merch was just as funny as the show. We grabbed a signed poster from 25 Cent, which felt like a must. We were especially happy to finally catch them. A few nights ago, Joanna Wang held a concert here, the fourth stop of her North American tour. The show started right on the dot with no opening acts which was much appreciated. The first set ran through her latest album, "Hotel la Rut" which combined productions of strange, disturbing, moody unpredicability with moments of seemingly whimsical levity and repressed emotions. One after the other, it felt like listening to tracks of a musical. As is often stated comparing to the studio recordings, the live performances added charm and context to the machinations of her mind's inner workings. It helped that the sound quality here was remarkably vibrant, with the band going between genres seamlessly. Personally enjoyed "Pigeons on Your Balcony", "People Don't Eat Dinner by Themselves", and "Ragged Stairs to Heaven". Promptly afterwards, the second set contained a selection of past songs from her almost two decade long career, ranging from creative compositions to inventive covers. It was a full-on display of her vocal range and inspirations through the years. Some memorable ones included "Alice in Wonderland", "親密愛人", "Radio Killed the Radio Star", and "Simply Nothing You Can Do", with "Vincent" as her encore performance. It was a good time, as I found myself smiling at her showmanship going from soulful nostalgia to nutty, irrepressible energy. Here's hoping she performs around here more often.
