Another cozy seating place
Andie B.

Happy Friday! Looking for the perfect movie night? I highly recommend IPIC! PARKING PRO INFO: (1) Enter from Glendon Avenue and look for the driveway marked "Pierce Brothers" - it leads directly to convenient parking. (Refer to my two pictures re parking.) (2) Have your parking ticket validated. Our validated parking cost was only $3.30. AMBIANCE: Beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for movie night. SERVICE: Stellar! Every team member was exceptional - from the front desk staff to our attentive server to the bartender. SEATING: We enjoyed the Premium Plus theater, and the seats were incredibly comfortable. Each pair of seats has its own divider, giving you and your companion a nice sense of privacy. Pro tip: there's a handy button on your table to call your server, plus a separate button for the light. WINE: They offer two pour sizes - a standard glass (6 oz) or a generous glass and a half (9 oz). My Chardonnay was excellent! FOOD: We started with the Truffle Fries -- delicious! For our mains, my niece ordered the pizza, which was generously sized (we easily could have shared it). I went with the Turkey Sliders, which were decent, though the real star was the accompanying fries - different from the truffle version but equally tasty. LADIES RESTROOM: Very nice! It's like the high-end restaurants with plenty of stalls, glass doors that extend nearly to the floor, and genuine privacy. OVERALL: IPIC delivers a premium movie experience worth every penny. Highly recommend!

I think I may have found my new favorite movie theatre spot! Of course it is on the pricier end but I do believe it's worth the experience once in a while. Parking is $3.30 with validation next door. Their food and drinks were also pretty good. We got the Mac and cheese with steak and the filet mignon sliders. As for drinks, we got the spicy mule and dragoncolada, both were great! Service was okay as they forgot my drink but our server was very nice! The best part was of course the seats as it came with blankets and you can practically lie down. Good thing I didn't eat too much or else I probably would've fallen asleep by how comfy those chairs are! Can't wait to be back!

Comfy seats!!!!

This was our first IPic experience and i can't wait to come back! I want to start with the negatives..,, the parking! Omg that garage entrance is kind of tight and i don't like the tandem spots. But anyways it is what it is. They do validate so that's cool. Now back to what i love. This place is lowky! I would have never known a theater existed because the building it's in doesn't give that it gives doctors offices lol Anyways the seats are comfy!!! And the blanket?! Yes thank you! Love the dine in experience and the staff are fast with your order! We'll definitely come back again i want to bring my niece and nephew so they can watch a movie in style!

Such an amazing experience. Super comfy seats to cuddle up and with a small blanket for comfort. Also provides the option of getting non alcoholic beer at the bar and delicious food to order at your seat. The service was amazing and they were pretty quick.

Cocktail & Popcorn = Yum

Attended a screening of "The Last Showgirl" at this amazing venue and loved the whole experience. Nestled quaintly on Wilshire Boulevard very close to Westwood Boulevard this iPic Theater is easy to drive to and accessible via public transportation. Greeted by two attentive hosts, walked by an attractive restaurant/lounge on the ground floor and was sent upstairs to the theatre. The seats in the theater reclined and a nicely folded blanket was on every seat. There's a server attending to you with full food and drink menu! Had a cocktail with my popcorn. After the movie screen was surprised with a question and answer session from some of the cast and crew (director, actors and costumer) of "The Last Showgirl"! Pamela Anderson was so open and honest. I need to be a member of iPic Theaters!

Seared Tuna Salad

We got the seared tuna salad it was the best salad I ever had had. With miso tahini dressing, mixed greens, red peppers and roasted apple took it to the next level. I want to go back tomorrow for round 2. I will get it every time. So bomb and healthy, get this.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the iPic Westwood location during the 10:00 PM showing of Sinners on April 24th. The movie cut off less than halfway through, and instead of any meaningful resolution, I was sent home with just a voucher to return within the week. I had planned my evening carefully, including paying for a babysitter, expecting the luxury and service iPic promotes. Instead, I was charged over $100 for food and drinks--with no offer of a discount, refund, or even a voucher for the food and drinks I didn't get to enjoy while watching a full film. I reached out to iPic corporate via email to express my concerns and request appropriate compensation, but I've received no response. So now I'm here, sharing this on Yelp to warn others. For a theater that brands itself as high-end, the way this situation was handled--or rather, not handled--was extremely disappointing. I left feeling like my time, money, and overall experience didn't matter. I hope this is addressed not just for me, but so future guests aren't left in the same position.

IPIC is my favorite theater for their comfort and convenience. I always order nibbles but we came the other day with intentions of having dinner during our movie and we were really surprised about how amazing the food was. The food has always been good but if this was an actual restaurant I would come back and order again! I couldn't get any pictures of my food because it was dark, but we had pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, and shrimp Cobb salad wrap w/ fries. Everything was really good but that shrimp cobb salad wrap was so good!! For a movie theater I can't believe how perfectly cooked the shrimp was. Highly recommend! Service was great as always!

Ask the Community - IPIC Westwood

What is the parking situation here? Signage for where? Price? do they validate? Thanks!

Not sure on validation but they have a parking lot that's reasonable (I think it's like $5) right before the theater -- there's pretty obvious signage about where to turn to park there. There's also street parking depending on the time of day you go.

Which location is nicer this one or pasadena?

Pasadena, IMO.

If i buy premium plus seating, is that for two people or one per ticket?

One per ticket

It seems like it would be distracting from the film to have waiters coming in and out of the theater serving food. Do they do anything to minimize those distractions?

They are very Discrete and wear all black plus they kneel down while walking through the theater so you don't even really see them. They try to take a majority of the orders before the movie starts and there is a little buzzer to press if you need… Read more

So i just purchased tickets for tonight and I don't quite understand how it works here. Is the popcorn included in the price? Is it all you can eat popcorn. Whats the difference between the vip and regular seating.…

Hey Maytal! Unlimited free popcorn is included in the price for Premium Plus (VIP) seats. Premium seats are closer to the screen, do not recline, and do not include waiter service. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

So how does this work, I went on the website and it charges me $64 for two tickets, does that come with food and drinks too or is that separate?

They only charge for the movie tickets. They give one free popcorn per ticket. Food and drinks are to be bought separately.

It was roughly $20 for premium plus seats which would typically include free popcorn, blanket, and a pillow.

I don't go to the movies a lot because all the 1-2 screen theaters I like to patronize have closed and keep closing so any chance I get to see a picture at an independent theater like the Nuart or Aero I'm in! Given that it was past 11pm, we easily found free parking in a city lot a short 2 blocks away which is so rare these days.... both the finding close parking and it being gratis. Getting in was hassle free because we had arrived a bit closer to the start time so the line of people waiting to enter had already subsided. The restrooms were clean and the lines at the fancy concession stand were also short. The concession stand really impressed me. There area all types of snacks and beverages including a good variety of beer and wine. The seats are hit and miss and by that I mean you're either going to love them or hate them because they aren't the traditional reclining seats. They're velvet not vinyl and "sort of" recline. If you're tall you're going to love all the leg room. I would return to the Nuart to watch a movie, but probably not for the Rocky Horror Picture show because while I appreciate that a whole new generation is carrying on the cult following for this quirky film, I much prefer the wittier short call backs of yesteryear to the long drawn out dialogues of the newer generation. May the Nuart live long and prosper!

Great customer service! But let's talk about seats D1, and D2....my seats. That are directly under a fucking air conditioning vent. I'm a dude and normally I can take SOME cold weather but my god I haven't put my arms in my shirt in a long time. For its 2 and half hour running time that cold ass air was blasting right at me. Has this been anyone else's experience? Have people complained about this? This is in no way knocking the theater but my god I'll never ever forget watching that beautiful film and being tortured by 60 degree fan weather coming down onto me That being said...I'm watching WAKE UP DEAD MAN there this weekend and I am NOT sitting in that fucking section no way.

What we didn't know was that this presentation was being performed by noted actors for an audio play or podcast. So, what does that mean? This smallish theater was set up with microphones, recording equipment, chairs and stools for the actors, few background stage changes AND a Sound Effects Artist. For older generation folks, this live recording format is akin to radio broadcasts (if you can imagine pre-television) with live audiences in attendance. The storyline for Sisters Matsumoto told about a Japanese family who had been interned at Arkansas' Rohwer War Relocation Camp and their resilience to rebuild their lives after being released back to their family home in Sacramento, California. The story is relevant to today's politics and shows this dark period in American history. After the play, the founder and Producing Director of L.A. Theatre Works, Ms. Susan Albert Loewenberg, led a lively and thought-provoking discussion featuring the playwright (Philip Kan Gotanda), actor/activist George Takei and director Tim Dang. The theater is located in UCLA's Melnitz Hall (closest to the northern edge of the campus just off Sunset Boulevard at Hilgard Avenue) with lots of parking in adjacent parking structure number 3. Melnitz Hall is UCLA's School of Film, Television and Digital Media Department's production and teaching facilities. The James Bridges Theater is a state-of-the-art venue screening venue. Needless to say, we enjoyed both the production and the venue and hope that we'll be back for more of LATW's productions.

There were refreshments offered beforehand. All of the actors were wonderful. Each played a handful of characters. I loved that the backdrop was projected and pair with superior sound effects and score. It was more like watching a movie. Spill was a wonderful story about the 2010 oil spill. As luck would have it, I only found out about this series for their last screening, a double feature of Clifton Ko's film "Devoted to You" and Stanley Kwan's "Love Unto Waste", both originally released in 1986. Speaking with my dad, it turned out the first screening he saw at Sing Lee's was "Ace Go Places IV", coincidentally also released in 1986. Parking at the Hammer Museum is $8 after 5pm on the weekends, though I was easily able to find street parking nearby for free. It's worth mentioning the museum has free admission, so take the time to stroll around if you can. As luck would have it, I came ten minutes before the galleries closed, so don't do that. On the flip side, that meant I was able to get a ticket for the screening early to secure a seat. Beandrea July, who I hear occasionally on FilmWeek, was the host of the evening and gave a great introduction to the films and guests. Both films, with their over-the-top Hong Kong humor and melodrama, were presented well technically even with all the graininess, which I think adds to the appeal. The seats were comfy, and a "No food or drinks" policy means no cup holders. After the screening, a quick Q&A with UCLA Professor Michael Berry and Harvard PhD student Janet Louie provided some historical context to what the filmmakers may have tried to conveyed with their works, and the sentiment felt by audiences back in Asia and the diaspora. Here's hoping these folks continue to restore more films and add to the series!

Review #925 2025-103…read more My gal pal invited me & my son to attend a Zootopia 2 private industry screening at The Crescent Theater with her husband. Located on Crescent Dr. & Wilshire Blvd., The Crescent Theater is a 114-seat private theater with 4K Christie CP-4220 Digital Cinema projector & 5.1 audio equipment that's calibrated regularly along with the light level for optimal settings. An underground parking garage is located off Crescent Dr. just north of Wilshire Blvd. Proceed to the single "visitor" lane, select the "ticket" button for a parking ticket, & proceed to P2 or P3 for parking. Make sure to get a validation sticker for your parking ticket, & stick it on the non-printed/blank side to be scanned at the time of exit. The assigned theater parking was relatively empty & dark, my son said it was kinda scary being in the garage & hurried to the elevators. Once we arrived to the designed floor, there was clear signage directing you to the theater. An agent was posted near the entrance to check-in guests; no tickets or QR codes like the regular theaters. The theater itself was nice with gradual stadium seating. We sat in the middle at the right edge, but still had a nice view. The movie was scheduled to start at 1:00 PM, & the projectionist started the movie about 10-mins. after; no movie previews to sit through. Yasss! Due to the private nature of the screening, no drinks (except bottled water) & snacks are allowed, & none were provided. The sound was crisp & clear, though a bit too loud for my taste. The seats were ok; normal, no reclining with barely enough space for someone to walk past without stepping on your toes. The audience was respectful of others; no one was talking, the kids stayed in their seats, no crinkling or rustling of snack bags. It was a pleasant experience with no conflicts... we thoroughly enjoyed watching Zootopia 2 at The Crescent Theater on a Sunday afternoon. There's a bright, airy lobby that's perfect for lounging before & after the movie. It's currently decorated for the winter holidays. No concession stand like the typical theater. I love The Crescent Theater... would love to be invited back for future screenings!
