Chick's LBI Shop is the perfect sized store to shop in for T-shirt's, sweatshirts, tank-tops, etc…read more They have a nice selection of decently priced merchandise for men and women. The quality of some of the shirts seems to be a level above the cheap shirts that some of the other stores on LBI are selling. Maybe that's why Chick's has been in business for so long. They had some good sale shirts on the rack outside the store. I got a cute tank-top on sale for $15. The woman employee who was working was super friendly and we had a nice chat with her. I wish I remembered her name. It's so important to have friendly employees when you own a business. If you want to sell things, people are more likely to buy from a store where they positively interact with a friendly employee. I'll definitely go back to Chick's the next time I'm in LBI. I recommend it. Check it out for all your t-shirt and sweatshirt needs!

I was not able to try it on since the store was closing, so I bought it with the intention of trying it on at home. On Saturday morning, I tried it on, liked how it fit, took the tags off, and wore it to breakfast. While at breakfast, I stuck my hand in the pocket and discovered that the pocket, at the seam, was completely torn apart. My entire hand went through the pocket. Immediately after breakfast, I went to the store with the receipt, told the manager what happened, and was promptly denied an exchange, a return, or even a credit towards my next order. Although I'm 22, my mom was furious so she went in to the store and spoke with the two managers who were both working the registers. They simply repeated the return policy without giving any consideration to the circumstances. The one manager told her I could just sew up the hole in the pocket. I spent $50 for these pants. For $50, a consumer expects the clothes to be defect free. This is not a hole that could have been put in the pocket by anyone. It is the entire seam of the pocket. It looks as if either all the stitching that held the pocket together came apart or was never sewed. All I wanted was to exchange the pants for ones that were not defective. I was not looking for my money back. It is atrocious that they sell defective clothing in the first place. And it is even worse that they would not exchange said clothing when a defect was discovered. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

When I called the store and spoke with the owner about for a SUP. They had the largest inventory of SUP within hour radius. When I told the owner I was coming from an hour away, he offered to meet me on the mainland and saved me over an hour of travel time. As we started to walk out she questioned that my daughter took the ring and the man said I paid. We then walked out and were almost down the block when she (owner I'm assuming) started screaming down the block, "Excuse me, you didn't pay for that ring!" I replied I did the man did it for me. I politely went back to the store and she was so accusatory that I "stole" her merchandise. As I said to her that's what he rung it up for, she said well it's $10, not what he charged. She was extremely unprofessional in her tone and how she handled it all. Yes, I had no problem letting her know that I will not return due to her poor service and way she spoke to me throughout it all. Good business practice would have said it's our error and not asked for the extra. Of course, I paid the difference but she continued to be rude and had the audacity to say, "I'm sorry you think I'm being unprofessional but I'm a New Yorker." Poor excuse when you run a business that I actually would have returned to.
