Had a pretty pleasant shopping experience here today with my girlfriend. The clerks and the shop associates were pretty friendly and greeted us. Gf was able to pick out a nice swimming suit from a wide variety of suits for a pretty decent price. Would definitely recommend stopping here during the off season since so many other stores are basically closed during the non-summer months of the year. read more

B&B in Beach Haven, NJ is a pretty large, staple LBI store with a good selection of clothing for men, women, kids, and infants, as well as a small selection of bathing suits, flip-flops, hats, jewelry, purses, and unique home decor. The clothes are geared towards younger people with a big Junior's girl section. There were cute cover-ups, sun dresses, shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, and other women's clothes. They had some adorable infant clothes too. The men's section was pretty large, with a lot of t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. The t-shirts had some unique designs in them and seemed to be better quality than most of the small touristy shops have in LBI. They were $28. I got a cute and unique embroidered, framed, glass sign that says, "You are my sunshine." So cute! They have a small selection of candy up front near the registers too. The prices can be a little expensive for what you get sometimes, but the name brand labels that are pricier, also seem to be better quality. They also have beginning of the season sales and I got my sign on sale, so was happy about that. The employees were pretty friendly and nice. I'll definitely go back to B&B to shop. There are two stores on the island, this one, and one in Ship Bottom. Other stores are in Lavallette, Ocean City, and Seaside Park. If you're near a B&B check it out the next time you need some clothes or just feel like browsing. The stores are pleasant to shop in and have cute items! read more

Very sad how this store has deteriorated. Customer service that wouldn't be acceptable at Walmart. Might have been understandable if it was an inexperienced summer associate but sadly this was not her first rodeo. I used to buy a lot of clothing from this store. Shorts, dress shirts tank tops etc. I have no clue why but they seemed to have change the type of clothing they sell. The prices for a lot of the product here is definitely reasonable compared to elsewhere. Especially if you're looking for name brands like Ron Jon, Quicksilver, (Ugh!) Crocs, and then some. But the best time to go here is definitely the off season where 85% of the store if 20-50% off. For less than $30 bucks I walked out with a new beach towel, a good pair of sandals, and a brand new hoodie. But while they do have a few gimmicky and touristy items, the bulk of the store has enough to have me shop without the killer deals. read more

If I could give this place a half a star I would. The clothing is great. Very cute. A bit overpriced but overall it's nice stuff. But, of course there is always a downside. The store itself it great! The managers and staff are the only ones bringing the stores down. I bought a ring and a shirt. Simple wave ring, simple white striped shirt. I got both for about $37. I got my receipt and she said "The jewelry is final sale." I nodded it off and left the store elated with my new purchases. Until I got in the car, only to find that the ring was snapped -- in half. I got out and into the store with my receipt in one hand and the ring in the other. Was not mad. I simply asked the lady for an exchange. She again said "ALL jewelry is final sale". A bad on my part. I know. But she had sold me a broken item. So I asked for a manager. NOT ONLY did this manager have an attitude, she fought with me, a kindly tourist customer. Her name is Alice. I now do not like Alice. Also, I did win the fight with Alice. Bad quality ring, but I did get a new one. read more

I liked B&B. It reminded of the local department stores of the 70's. The chain department stores put most of the little guys out of business, but B&B survives. They had a nice selection of men's clothes and flip flops and other beach wear. Women's and kid's clothes too plus items for the beach. read more

B&B carries pretty much everything a department store does, at a discounted price. Women's, juniors, mens, childrens, swimwear, shoes, beach supplies. Great for that summer casual look that you need to wear down the shore. Prices are reasonable. Sidewalk sales begin in mid-to-late August. Womens/juniors swimwear is sold by separates (2 pieces). mens clothing have vast array of tees and sweats. This location is larger than the Surf City location and carries a wider selection, especially of menswear. read more

I liked this place as they have many cute clothing choices and a variety of things sold. I went looking for a bathing suit and found one I ended up buying.I was really disappointed that they didn't carry and reasonably priced bikinis - I was desperate, so I literally ended up paying $103 for one bikini set. We used to shop at B&B all the time. In the last 5 years or so, it became too jammed with stuff. Can hardly walk they without knocking into clothes racks. There is an oder in the store like a chemical preservative that is not only an offensive smell but it actually irritates our eyes...makes them burn and red. I decided to write this review because my friend and I just had a negative shipping experience there. She bought a canvas beach bag and was not informed that it was a final sale. We went across the street where she found a draw bag that she liked better. She returned to B&B about 15 minutes after purchasing the bag and was informed that because it was a Beach accessory it was a "final" sale...not even the offer of a store credit. This place got a shitty 1 Star because as I was waiting online I noticed they told a young girl that she couldn't exchange a broken 12 dollar ring for a new one. Her mother had to come in and convince the manager who was extremely rude. I felt so bad for the little girl I would've bought her a new ring if both her and her mom was turned down. I'm sure they had the money to buy another ring but I'm almost positive her mom was there off of principle. After seeing a 12 year old tear up because she was turned down and told she couldn't get a new ring because all sales are final and the ring broke because it was her fault, I can't find myself ever shopping here again. As a businessman myself, one of the most important principles My business stands by is do what u have to do to make the customer happy as long as you're not being taken advantage of. This was clearly a little girl who happened to break a cheap piece of jewelry and was treated like garbage because the store was more concerned about making a petty 12 dollars than to make things right and explain to the child they technically don't have to but because it's the right thing to do she will get her exchange. Toe the manager on duty, you should be ashamed of yourself saying the things u said about that women after she left, u never know who's watching or listening, you should know better than to behave that way. read more

The owner verbally attacked me after my 6 year old daughter with special needs accidentally knocked a shelf over. I was picking up the items when she told me her behavior was unacceptable. I explained the situation and told her I was picking up the items she knocked off when she tried to physically grab my daughter who was on the floor. I told her she can't talk to people the way she was, to which she replied "Ill talk to you however I wish". I feel sorry for her and how clearly miserable she is realize the owner is a miserable person but you can't speak to people like that, particularly someone dealing with a special needs child. read more

Very disappointing visit. After being a customer for over 20 years, they would not take back a bathing top HOURS after it was purchased with the tags still on. Nobody told us upon purchase that swimwear sales are final, as per "store policy". The manager pointed it out on the receipt, but by time you get the receipt, the sale is already FINAL....so it's already too late!!! My god how this place has changed. Long gone are the days when the clothing was reasonably priced. I went in the other day and couldn't believe how expensive the clothing was!! Vineyard vines, free people, B&B never used to have these expensive clothing brands. I guess because the island got expensive so did the store. Cute stuff though. Most recent visit I got two nice pairs of pants and two pairs of walking shorts for 20-50 percent off - great selection of pretty much anything you will need at the beach. What a great place to shop. Large selection of men and women's clothing. I bought a beautiful beach top for my self and two "old Men rule" t shirts for my husband. I was limited in shopping time as I only went in on my last day on the island. The set up of the store is great and the displays are very nice. Large clean try on rooms. If I could give zero stars I would. Alice, the manager should be in a different line of work as speaking with people is clearly not her thing. My daughter purchased a ring, came outside to show it to me and it was broken. I sent her back in to politely ask for another ring and she came out with the broken ring. I had to go to in and ask to speak to the manager. The employee called across the store and said "someone wants to talk to you." She didn't even stop what she was doing and I had to walk across the store to her. I explained that my 12 year daughter just purchased the ring 5 minutes ago, it was broke and we would like another one. She told me it was final sale and it was just cheap costume jewelry. After some back and forth bullshit she finally said she would replace the ring. The thing that pissed me off the most...she was talking about me to the cashier while I was walking out of the store. Such a rude human being. Anyway, I will continue to shop in LBI but never again in this store. read more
