As I started to explain to the white haired lady what I was looking for she quickly cut me off: 'stop explaining - we won't know what you need - we need a photo' she was rude and impatient. I'll be the first to admit...this isn't a place for me. HOWEVER, Wifey and the kids LOVE coming here every year and making memories. Wifey says the people in here are always helpful and seem like they care about what you're doing. I can't tell you if you're getting a good bang for your buck here, but they seem to have a huge selection and Wifey and the kids always seem pretty happy with what they bring home so, for me, it's worth every penny. read more

Everything from the beads to stringing the beads and also the great staff who helped my granddaughters finish the necklaces and bracelet.

My daughter & I love this place! We go every year as a rainy day activity. They have so many different bracelets, necklaces, earrings and so much more. As you walk in, it cam be overwhelming but you cam ask for help and the nice ladies will show you how to do everything. You can create at the place or take it home to create. There may be 2 locations on LBI for Just Bead It - we were at the Northern-most one (same lovely owners). Patient and friendly staff - lots of choices and best of all instruction for the beginning beader. Great for kids AND adults. Wonderful. read more

Worst experience ever! Don't waste your time, the staff has no time for anyone. I asked questions and got not even a two word response. These two young girls working there just couldn't be bothered to help with anything! If I could give this place a lower then 1 star, I would have. There are two JBI shops on LBI; I was more impressed with the northern one. Nancy works there; she is very knowledgeable and quick to help but not hovering. I found some good ideas and supplies for a couple of projects. They told me in the northern store that the southern store had a better selection, so we went there today. The young girls working weren't as helpful as Nancy, and it turned out that all the beads I wanted were at the other store anyway. The southern store is definitely larger, and they do have a great selection of completed adornments - if that's what you're after, go south. But if you want beady supplies and ideas, you'll do really well at the northern store. read more

This is a great place to take the kids to on a rainy day, or to take your wedding party to , to make their own gift or wedding jewelry. I remember a similar shop when I was a kid, and still love going to see all the variety of item to creat a masterpiece. The prices range, so if you want a simple piece it doesn't break the bank, but if you want something really nice they have a great selection of top shelf items also. I was here shopping for beads while on vacation. I have been beading for 17 years. My 84 year old mother asked to use the restroom. She was told no. In all the years I have never be told no you can't use the restroom. I walked out without making a purchase. read more

a fun store to get your "craft on". wide selection of beads. i suggest just getting a big thing of hemp and some beads. dont make the crap in the store unless you have little kids. its also super easy to pocket a couple beads they sell for over a dollar. they gotta be kidding if they think people will pay that. lol read more

My daughter and I went in, and they were extremely rude to us. When we looked for them to get some help, they would stand there and stare at us. They assumed that we were experts, and we had to leave before we got to start beading. We were very disappointed. read more

Very overwhelming because of so many options,but a great helpful friendly staf that really give great instructions and advice. Plan to spend some time there if you are doing full necklaces and or have children to help. Great for all price pionts, not great for people w bad hands. Very overwhelming at first, but the store is great for beaders and nonbeaders...a great rainy day activity for the kids as well. Prices are reasonable and it definitely keeps you and the kids entertained for a little bit. Their jewelry are made by employees...which I thought was pretty cool, too. Surf City location is smaller than the Beach Haven one, so if you have a group of people, I recommend going to the Beach Haven store. read more
