As we started to walk out she questioned that my daughter took the ring and the man said I paid. We then walked out and were almost down the block when she (owner I'm assuming) started screaming down the block, "Excuse me, you didn't pay for that ring!" I replied I did the man did it for me. I politely went back to the store and she was so accusatory that I "stole" her merchandise. As I said to her that's what he rung it up for, she said well it's $10, not what he charged. She was extremely unprofessional in her tone and how she handled it all. Yes, I had no problem letting her know that I will not return due to her poor service and way she spoke to me throughout it all. Good business practice would have said it's our error and not asked for the extra. Of course, I paid the difference but she continued to be rude and had the audacity to say, "I'm sorry you think I'm being unprofessional but I'm a New Yorker." We brought those items to Evearts, and they were incredibly kind, honest, and easy to work with. For each piece, they did their homework to make sure they were giving us a great deal by selling them. For instance, we had an old sterling silver flatware set. They explained that selling the item by the weight of the silver was a better option than trying to find an online reseller who bought individual pieces. Whenever I find more gold or silver items, I'll definitely be back at Evearts.
