Some fishing tackle, half empty refrigerators, loose shells, tchotchkes. Nothing wrong just a dated business with some nostalgia for some.

Sad. Was a really vibrant store many years ago. Just not what it used to be and sad to walk in.

“Delicious, rich tasting coffee/tea, perfect view of the lighthouse, sea breeze blowing from the bay steps away, what a perfect experience!”

What a cute store!!!! The mosaic fish floor in the entrance way is really cool - I should have…read moretaken a photo! Super cute stuff mostly for women, although I think guys may be interested in some of the books and perhaps the artwork as well. Tons of really cute clothes, trinkets and little furniture for kids. For the adults there's tons of jewelry, handbags, clothes, paintings/prints/photos (they offer framing here as well), and all kinds of trinkets for your home. I got a funky bracelet - I really liked the jewelry collection - very artsy. The woman working here was also really helpful when we had questions. I will definitely be coming back here again!

It also has a gift section for the dog or cat lover in your life and a nice collection of clothing, books and toys for the newborns and toddlers, too. The prices are a great value for the quality. The selection is truly unique. It's owned by Cricket Luker and run by a lovely staff...Karen, Maggie. They have craft workshops, special book and art signing events and Puppa-palooza--a one-day dog friendly event. She also carries lithographs, limited edition hand-drawn water-colored maps of LBI and Barnegat Light, sculpture, and art photos of the LBI, Barnegat area. Her custom framing is extensive and reasonable. Go and enjoy! Here's their new website! http://www.wildflowersbythelighthouse.com/art_joe_tarella.html

If you live, or stay in the northern part of LBI this is a great little store that has just about…read moreeverything. Every time I come to the shore, I always forget something and often don't want to either: A: make a trip off the island (a full day affair) or B: drive down to Surf City to the other stores there (could be a half day affair to get down and back with all the people and traffic). So instead I bike or drive north to this little store and pick up what I need (or want). They have shoes, flip flops, jewelry, clothes, and all kinds of trinkets and useful things as well.

Located almost at the northern end of LBI in Barnegat Light, it is your "has everything" store. Lots of housewares, tools, paint - kind of like a mini-Target but not as large of a selection. You can also get keys made here. There is clothing. Nowadays it's mainly swimwear and LBI attire but there is some resort wear and flip flops mixed in. There is a back room of beach supplies - chairs, umbrellas, coolers. Right when you walk in are souvenirs and other beachy gift items. There is a health and beauty aisle in case you forgot to pack an over-the-counter medicine, need suntan lotion or bug spray. And don't forget the toy aisle, it also is pretty extensive. Prices are not too outrageous for a local store only open in the summer.
